Nicole Blake has a new gift .. or curse. She can look at a photograph and see it move .. showing moments before, during, and after the picture was taken. She has no idea where this ability came from, but she finds this a way to entertain her friends at parties.
Detective Paul Hammond has his hands full. He’s investigating a series of murders … at least they are presumed to be murders. An arm from one is found …. a torso from another. Multiple victims, multiple body parts. When Hammond learns of Nicole’s ability, he immediately enlists her help.
Carl Kadner is a rookie reporter who is also looking into the murders .. with the help of an anonymous source.
It’s going to take all three of them to find this serial killer and why no one seems to be able to find him. No witnesses, no clues, no DNA …
This paranormal suspense grabbed me from the first page. What the killer does with the ‘spare’ parts left over from his crime spree is horrifying. I liked the character of Nicole .. she handles her new skill with aplomb, even though it baffles her. Hammond kind of grew on me…. I loved his wearing of tennis shoes with his suits. Carl is a young man trying to make his mark on the world and this story he’s investigating may cost him not only his job, but his life, as well.
This was promo’d in facebook and once I saw the cover, I immediately ordered. This is not a new author to me, and I am going to take the opportunity to read his Ethan Tennant series.
Challenging.
some of the creativity brought to mind Harry Potter…..great imagination
I loved the story and the characters. However, the number of typos, added words, missing words, wrong words and terrible punctuation had me wanting to throw my kindle across the room. Almost stopped reading the book because it was so aggravating. Seriously, how hard is it to have a competent person proof read?
Mildly entertaining. Found myself wanting or expecting more, but still interesting.
A good read. I highly recommend
Could not put it down!
Couldn’t put it down
Absolutely awful. Didn’t even make 20 pages
Started out interestingly but then deteriorated. Very poorly edited with many grammatical errors. Character development was poor. Then there were things like “He told her he forgot his wallet.” and in the next paragraph “He takes out his wallet…”
this started out great…then the current time next chapter the past…yoyoing back and forth is so annoying….sad to not be able to finish it
