From USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestselling author, Tabatha Kiss…The neglected housewife. The irresistible milkman. We all know the story… but you’ve never heard it like this before!Nathaniel Scott is back.I never looked twice at him in high school. Now, five years later, he’s the town’s new milkman. Handsome, charming, and so eager to please. He’s that tall glass of milk I’ve always … eager to please.
He’s that tall glass of milk I’ve always craved.
But the home I’ve made belongs to another man.
A man who refuses to give me what I need.
I never thought I could be that woman.
The kind who wrecks her own life for selfish pleasures
but I’ll do whatever it takes to feel alive again.
The milkman is coming.
And I’m leaving my back door unlocked.
The Milkman tells the story of a scorned housewife who has an affair with the milkman. If anything about that offends you, then this book wasn’t written for you (and that’s okay!). It’s steamy, sweet, and oh-so-taboo. Stand-alone. No cliffhanger. All the HEA you could ask for. Includes the tie-in novel, The Mechanic, for a limited time!

I wasn’t so sure when I picked this up but boy was I wrong. The Milkman is cute and funny and so worth the read.
I wasn’t sure I was going to like this book strictly because of the subject matter. Cheating spouses is not an easy subject for me, but I trust Tabitha Kiss so I was willing to give this a chance. Boy, am I glad I did! This was not just good but great!!
Tabitha weaves a tale that grabs you from the very beginning and doesn’t let you go until the end. We learn who we dislike before the relationship between Kimber and Luke begins, and that is Curtis VanHouten. We meet him in the first chapter, where we begin to feel like he’s someone we won’t care for, but by the second chapter we know the type of man he is. Curtis is a self-centered a**.
Kimber deserves to be happy and have someone love her. Curtis doesn’t care unless it affects him. He is what I refer to as a fair weather husband; only “loves” when it meets his vision of perfect. It makes it easy to dislike him and easier to feel like he should get what he deserves. There was a part where I felt uncomfortable with the situation, but it was an uncomfortable situation so my feelings were valid. It just shows that I was fully invested in the story, which is the sign of a good story teller.
Regardless of your personal beliefs about fidelity you will find yourself rooting for Kimber and Luke and cheering for their HEA. Luke is the milkman we all wish we had in our lives. He cares about Kimber and begins his affair with her because they both expect it to be temporary. What starts as something they believe they need for only a short period of time becomes something on which they can build a future. Luke left Clover, Kansas, to become something, only to return to find where he belonged. This is the story you will want to read.
I highly recommend this story and, if you haven’t already, you need to add Tabitha Kiss to your list of authors to be read!

Taboo read. This story does have controversy issues between Kimber and Nate that being said I thought it was a sweet story and worth reading, I also enjoyed seeing Jovie and Will from The Mechanic.
I always enjoy Tabitha’s books. This was no exception. I wasn’t sure how a milkman was going to work, but this story proved it can be done. Nate comes home to smalltown Kansas when his father dies. He’s only going to stay to help his mom out with their dairy until she hires more help. She wants him for one specific job, milkman. So he reluctantly takes up the deliveries and in doing so rediscovers his high school crush, Kimber. She is now married to the jerk whose family has been trying to buy his out for years. She also has gone from Miss Popularity to almost shut-in hermit due to a car accident that has left her scarred and changed. As well as dissatisfied with her inattentive husband. They’re both kind of lost in the beginning and find themselves and each other by the end. It does start out as cheating, so if that bugs you, this isn’t the book for you, but everyone deserves happiness so keep that in mind. Obviously Gertie thinks so. 😉 A sweet second chance romance with some steam. Tabitha never disappoints.
Nate and Kimber are on forbidden ground it’s certainly the land of milk and honey. Kimber lives a veritable life of a shut in. Her scars leave her feeling nothing like the sunshine girl of her youth and her marriage is a textbook case of a sham. Nate came back home after his father’s passing to care for his mother and their family dairy but he never expected that life would actually be making lemonade out of that milk. Nate and Kimber have pain that they can easily share and in doing so they find comfort and safety in one another. He is desperately trying to save his business from her husband and she is desperately trying to spread her wings from under his thumb so with like hearts and minds they journey into the unknown and find more than they ever dreamed.

Oh my gosh, another smashing great story by Tabatha Kiss! Bravo! I love her books! This was a fast flowing riveting story that sucked me right in. Nate & Kimber are such great characters! I cried & laughed & was totally engrossed into the story & couldn’t put it down. The only thing I didn’t like was the cheating, but it was at least a tolerable thing -for me, under the circumstances for poor Kimber. I loved getting to see the latest from Jovie & Will, from the book “The Mechanic”. This is a stand alone book, you don’t need to read that one, unless you just want to, though it’s a good book too with some of the same people from the same town.
Wow! Very well done. I do not usually like a book that has cheating in it, but in this case, it is an exception. Having a milkman was even before my time, but this story was so much more than that. Kimber has went from from being the beautiful head cheerleader, to a woman with lots of scars on her body, as well as on her heart and soul due to a car accident, which is made worse by her horrible husband. Can Nate the Milkman save her with love and caring, as well as his family’s dairy farm? Tabatha Kiss did some excellent writing on this one. There is lots of humor mixed in with the emotional parts, so that you still feel the emotions, but it does not get too heavy. Just when it starts to get more serious, you find yourself laughing. I voluntarily reviewed this advance copy, and I loved it, so I highly recommend it.
