Caderyn is the sexiest–and perhaps craziest–man Bridget has ever laid eyes on. He may have rescued her from death, but who’s going to rescue her from him? With all the right moves, the man is a walking seduction that’s too hard to resist. Sparks fly. Desires heat. But there’s one small problem. He claims they’re trapped in the lost city of Atlantes, living on a cursed island deep within the … ocean.

Interesting take on the captivating world beneath the ocean. Caderyn is a great character and very likeable. Their ways are a bit odd to say the least. I didn’t really like Bridget, she was just too dramatic and I think her waywardness stalled the plot and took away from the time they could’ve had as a couple being romantic outside the bedroom. Saved from a watery death by Caderyn, Bridget awakens in an underwater world.
Caderyn’s feelings for her bloom to life the minute he puts his mouth to hers in order to save her. He knows from the first time he sees her naked, that his pleasure nymph will never again do.
He is cursed by the “affliction” every time he thinks of her, and she’s just as attracted to him.
Caderyn is her guardian, but the thought of her with anyone else is out of the question.
Then Bridget, in a fit of anger, puts both of their lives on an unchangeable, adventurous, sexy ever after.
Sexy. Funny. Steamy. HEA.

Beautiful world building… Sucked into this world from the beginning I was transported to an undersea wonderland. Bridget is an independent young woman just getting started on her dream career so when she is “saved” by Caderyn and finds herself stuck in Atlantes she is not exactly happy. Caderyn thinks romancing Bridget into being his wife will be easy. Boy has he got a lot to learn. The storytelling is enthralling and the scenes take you away on a wild adventure. Great read!
I pretty much love everything Michelle M. pillow writes so it came as no surprise that I was sucked into this book immediately. The storyline is different than most mer books I have read. I loved it! I didn’t want to put the book down. I loved the world she created, the play on the story of Atlantis, and the characters. I am looking forward to reading the next books in the series!

After reading everything else from this author, I wasn’t sure that I wanted to read about sea creatures. I took a leap of faith for this author based on previous reads, and dived right in. Why did I wait so long?! This story has everything I have come to expect from a Michelle Pillow novel. Sexy hero? Check! Sinister bad guys (in this case sinister mermaids)? Check! Unashamedly hot love scenes? Check! Whew! I am ready to dive into the next in this series!

Michelle M. Pillow did a great job with this series starter. The character work was fantastic and the story line was engaging. I can’t wait to read the rest of this series.

Loved the series, entertaining read the 1st book and had to get the rest in the series and read yhem, great new series.
I’ve yet to read a book by this author that I haven’t loved. This is no exception. Like always, I ended up reading the whole series.
I just love the Merr!
The Mighty Hunter is an Atlantis/mermaid romance story. That’s probably the first and biggest thing you should know. No spoilers or anything, as it’s pretty much in the blurb and definitely in the first two chapters. If you’re a previous Michelle M. Pillow reader, you’ll know that her romances aren’t clean but are full of lots of naughty romping. This one is no different, so beware and/or enjoy. 🙂
I haven’t read the rest of the series yet, though I fully intend to, but I can say that this book is quite likely the length it is (the others aren’t near so drawn out) because it’s setting up the world and series. Lots of new information to take in here.
I enjoyed Caderyn mostly because he’s a giant marshmallow. That was too darned fun, honestly. Bridget was not my favorite character in that she wasn’t very sensible. She was a scientist, however, and I’ve known plenty of very smart people who have very little sense, so I suppose it wasn’t out of character. It also helped set the scene for the series, so no big issue.
If you like your romance steamy, your characters paranormal, and your world a little bigger than it really is, then this is a story for you.
Loved this book and the next, they had great story lines. However, there were some copy and paste items that disappointed. Also, thought the author short changed us on the other books in the series. Very disappointing, will not attempt to read anymore of their novels. Your readers do not want a great start with a disappointing final, especially when we are asked to rate.
The picture of the paperback cover expressed some of my feelings about this book. The man pictured is so hormone dense that he almost needs a bra. He surely needs a haircut for the sultry look intended. He looks mussed and artificial, somewhat like the text. Science meets pseudo science to involve Atlantis with PhD dissertations and handy mutations.
Nevertheless, it is a fun book to read, and I wouldn’t mind having a merman of my own.
It was different, not a “cookie cutter “ story.
I wanted to like it…had potential but…and I hate to say it, there was to much sex…like every other page. Not enough story and Bridget was just to whiney. My 1st read from this author, going to pass on book 2.
great read. instead of space aliens, we have mermaids. great fun
Merpeople living with the curse of Poseidon. When our heroine is one of the few survivors from her Marine Biology boat, she is in for more science than she intended. How on earth can Merpeople be real but the evidence is standing right in front of her. Wrapped in one very sexy package.
Caderyn has decided Bridget is his – now he just has to get to agree, lol. It was a nice change of pace to merpeople rather than the usual shifters, witches, etc. This romance is anything but smooth sailing. Well worth a read.
