#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • Lee Child returns with a gripping new powerhouse thriller featuring Jack Reacher, “one of this century’s most original, tantalizing pop-fiction heroes” (The Washington Post).BONUS: Includes a sneak peek of Lee Child’s new novel, Past Tense. Reacher takes a stroll through a small Wisconsin town and sees a class ring in a pawn shop window: West Point 2005. A tough … ring in a pawn shop window: West Point 2005. A tough year to graduate: Iraq, then Afghanistan. The ring is tiny, for a woman, and it has her initials engraved on the inside. Reacher wonders what unlucky circumstance made her give up something she earned over four hard years. He decides to find out. And find the woman. And return her ring. Why not?
So begins a harrowing journey that takes Reacher through the upper Midwest, from a lowlife bar on the sad side of small town to a dirt-blown crossroads in the middle of nowhere, encountering bikers, cops, crooks, muscle, and a missing persons PI who wears a suit and a tie in the Wyoming wilderness.
The deeper Reacher digs, and the more he learns, the more dangerous the terrain becomes. Turns out the ring was just a small link in a far darker chain. Powerful forces are guarding a vast criminal enterprise. Some lines should never be crossed. But then, neither should Reacher.

“A timely, suspenseful, morally complex thriller, one of the best I’ve read this year . . . Child weaves in a passionately told history of opioids in American life. . . . Child’s outrage over it is only just barely contained.”—The Philadelphia Inquirer

Jack Reacher is still the no nonsense, play fair or suffer the consequences type of guy.
Very entertaining
Vagabond Reicher is back. Kicks some butt and wine the day, then down the road again.
Read all of Jack Reacher as soon as released. This one was a little too predictable and repetitive. Also, I think the policewoman got left handcuffed to a chair at the end. I guess Jack rescued her but I don’t believe it got written in the book.
Still a faithful reader waiting for the next one.
I love all the jack reached stories. They are always unpredictable.
Typical Jack Reacher fare. Love it.
Lee child is always extremely well written with all the above characteristics above. Once again a great imaginative story well portrayed.
One of Lee Child’s best…
Best Jack Reacher book in a long time!!!
I wait with baited breath for each new book. I wish he could write one every month!!
I like most all of Lee Child books
Might be the best Reacher book yet,
Not nearly as good as previous Reacher books. Dragged in spots.
A new installment of Jack Reacher’s story never fails to make my day. As usual, I read it straight through … and immediately wished for another of Jack’s adventures.
LOVE this series. Only down side … I missed Sergeant Frances Neagley, who adds a little something special to each adventure.
Classic Jack Reacher you will love this book!
A great iteration of the Reacher character with interesting new characters. This is a thought-provoking book, exploring the many shades of moral choices. The central theme could be straight out of the headlines but rendered so much more personal through the excellent character development and story. I thoroughly recommend this book for Reacher fans and as a gift to others.
Another great book by Lee Child in the Reacher series. Lots of fun and fast paced. Great entertainment,
Good read. Not the best Jack Reacher book but worth a read.
Lee Child’s character Jack Reacher is very realistic and I have read all of his books.
Another great Jack Reacher book!
