Brianna fights with depression daily. The loss for her baby is just to much for Brianna. Brianna wants to be a mother more than anything, but her husband Eric doesn’t seem to care either way, so why live?
Zantu is a merman. Zantu does not want to be used by selfish mermaids. Zantu wants something different, he doesn’t want to be slave to the selfishness of the females of his kind.
This was a sweet story. I always like how in many of these PNRs that humans are dangerous ones. Zantu found what he had always been looking for, but he willingly set her free to keep her safe, that’s true love.
Super steamy short romance with a twist on the normal siren’s tales. I really enjoyed the imaginative world building, and unique undersea culture. People coming together across cultural differences is catnip for me and it was handled well in this story. A quick satisfying read.
CW: pregnancy loss and suicidal ideation
I loved this book. My only complaint is that I wish it were longer. I was so sad when I finished it because it was so good.
I loved it. Was very happy The book found me.
Short and entertaining. Amazing character building, especially the romantic bond between them. I loved whenever Zantu call her “his Angelfish”. can’t wait to read the second and third part.
Lovely story
This was such a quick read, more like a novella than a novel, but very enjoyable. I loved the characters, and the ideas behind the story, but wanted more world-building. Also, the ending was a little rushed. But the author has great voice, and this is a delightful little book.
I think this is a good introduction to this world. Made me want to check out the full series.
All in all a good read, not the greatest book I’ve ever read but highly entertaining and imaginative. Great “Summer-on-the-beach” read.
Another shifter story, love ability.
4.5 Stars
A nice, sweet read. I loved how the author described the world. I could picture the beautiful surroundings in my mind.
love it
I enjoyed this book very much. Because it was a different type of fantasy than I normally read. It was short, but sometimes that is a good thing. I am for sure going to read some of the other stories than fall in line with this one.
Great book, one of those you could not put down
I highly recommend. A great read and very different. Loved it!
Cute story, didn’t grab me like I was hoping for, different concept and interesting writing putting it on the males.
Loved it! Quick read and entertaining with whimsical characters. Couldn’t put it down.
Love the idea of a merman who has an innocence, strong sense of love and responsibility, and yet seeks a love to match his own. Beautifully written. So much so that I’ve read the whole series (3 books).
Easy read and different.
Fairly short story but relaxing and easy-to-read. Character development isn’t really deep but you like them and want to see where the story goes. This is a good travel or beach read when you want a HEA and a relaxing enjoyable read.
Something new. The books got better when I read the other two.
