I am so glad that Lucius has finally got a story of his own. Being king of Atlantes and ruler of the Mermen has been hard for Lucius as he has shouldered the burden of his people’s curse. After two millennia he deems it is time for his people to return to life above the waves and is prepared personally to test whether this is possible. Then Olivette falls into his arms when she is cast overboard and he starts to have doubts. Is this a sign from the Gods that they can escape their curse or that they must continue living under the waves? This is an excellent and fitting ending to the Mermen of Atlantes saga and I shall be sorry to read no more of Atlantes.

I have enjoyed this series and I liked that this one featured a paranormal romance about mermen, it’s very well done and showed just how sexy these guys could be. I liked all the characters, especially Lucius and I loved how sexy and caring the males were with their potential mates a beautifully written fantasy that makes the reader believe that wishes can come true and that there are men who would give their all to be with their woman.
This is a fun premise for a series; mermen falling in love with human women under the sea! There’s limited access to females, so these guys have been happy to find some ladies. This is about King Lucius, who takes the opportunity to hopefully end his people’s curse by trying to leave the sea. Along the way, he finds himself a lovely lady, Olivette, but also plenty of problems. A bit more depth to the story would be good, but I enjoy the sweet, spicy moments. Plus, the whole overall idea is just a cool one. This has been an entertaining series!
This was a great way to end this series. The character work and story line were well written and had Michelle M. Pillow’s classic writing style that never fails to keep one entertained from beginning to end.

Kingly Love
Michelle M. Pillow’s sixth book in her ‘Lords of the Abyss’ series has ended on a royal high. This story has mystery, adventure, suspense and romance. Lucius and Olivetti, the main characters, have become romantically entangled with one another. Lucius, the king of Atlantes, is trying to break the curse where his people don’t have to live under water but can breathe air. Lucius has volunteered to be the first one try to to break the curse and ends up rescuing Olivetti and falling in love with her. She thinks she may have the answers to their air problem. I really enjoyed reading this book and I thought it had a perfect ending. Highly recommended and definitely a MUST read!
The sixth book in the Lords of the Abyss series. Wow, the suspense, danger, drama kept me reading could not put the book down. This is Lucius, King of the Mermen and human Olivette who is taken to be an omen from the Gods when she is thrown overboard from a cruise ship by one very evil man. I have enjoyed reading this series from the very first book. I would recommend.
This is the story of Lucius and Olivette. Lucius is the King of his people. He wants to try to change the fortunes of his people for the better and he’s willing to be the test subject.I liked the story the problem is I found some of the characters not that great, I had trouble connecting to Olivette. It was a good read through if you like the series.
This is a fun paranormal/fantasy romance.. I liked it.. A romance for the merman king.. Is it a sign of other things to come?

The King Finds His Queen
In this story, King Lucius finally finds his mate when he rescues Olivette from an attempted murder by toss overboard. I love how both Lucius and Olivette rose to the challenges Atlantes faces. A beautiful ending to the Lords of Abyss series.
As much as I hate to see this series end, Michelle M Pillow did it justice. This is King Lucius & Olivette’s story. Plus the fate of all the Merr folk.
*SPOILERS AHEAD*
“Queen,” I say loosely, Maia meets a particularly disgusting end but if anyone deserved it, it was her.
I was lmao when King Lucius had different colored $lutty Mrs. Claus dresses made for Olivette & then Lyra nicknamed her “Elf.” Plus when Olivette & Lyra went to town and saw the $lutty Mrs. Claus dresses in the window of the dressmaker & then the lady at the loom had on a yellow one.
I’m thrilled that the “Olympians” got what the deserved & that Olivette was there for the King to keep him calm & give him a level head during the catastrophe.
And thank Posiden for the special seaweed. I just don’t understand why King Lucius really never saw the “Olympians” as a major threat. I mean, they were evil to the core of their being.
It did end with a HEA but I won’t spoil that.
I highly suggest you buy now with one click…..go…now…..you won’t be disappointed.
Also, while this and all books in the series can be read as standalones I also recommend the WHOLE series!
Love this series. In this story we get to follow king Lucius and it was a amazing adventure. With so many problems for the mer people and all the damage that has been done it was tough going for the king. Olivette is perfectly perfect for the king and there story was fun and exciting and they got a wonderful HEA. Amazing series.
The setting descriptions were so detailed and vivid that they were very believable. I’ve read all the books in this series, so I was happy to read the conclusion. I felt like this one was a bit rushed, but there was a lot happening, so I was ok with it. I loved the whole series!
What a way to end the Lords of the Abyss series. Problems seem to pop up everywhere in this conclusion. Olivette has her trouble from the surface. Lucius has the Olympians. And one insane act brings the Merr to their knees. And through it all Olivette and Lucius have about 2 seconds to bond while all heck is breaking loose.
A great conclusion to the series with a epilogue that wraps up the story but does leave some unanswered questions, the most important one on my mind – were any other Merr able to have children? All who encountered the triplets showed their love and longing for their own offspring.
I laughed out loud reading the author’s afterword.
Grab this whole series. It’s a very enjoyable binge!
A man who finally is able to make amends for the hubris experienced centuries before. Lucius’s mistake caused his people to lose everything and be banished from the world. But an opportunity to set things right is undertaken at no small risk. Will he actions prove his remorse? Will his people be able to once again walk the air-breathing world? Will he finally be able to fall in love? The end of the series.
Lucius made a mistake centuries before and his people paid the price for his arrogance. As their king, he felt it his duty to rectify his mistake so he was the one that tried an experiment to see if they could breath air. While trying to the experiment, he saw a lady fall and saved her. Olivette was out of work and took any odd jobs that came her way. She ended up embarrassing a politicians aid. He attacked her and threw her in the ocean. She was saved and started falling for the king. She pushed him away because she did not think she was queen material. When the Olympians attacked the dome and they were all forced to go to the surface, Olivette was the one that came up with a plan and helped the others to safety. I love Michelle M. Pillow’s books. If you have not read her series, they are awesome.

Wow End to the Series!
Olivette is working as a waitress on a yacht when one of the guests attacks her and knocks her unconscious. He ties an anchor to her and throws her overboard to hide what he did.
King Lucius is at the surface to test if the seaweed treatment that Lady Bridget has made works. He figures since he got his people into their current situation he should be the one to die if it doesn’t work. He breathes the surface air for the first time in thousands of years. Just as he surfaces, a women falls into the ocean and goes down quickly. He catches her and breathes for her until the other hunters can free her from the anchor. He takes her down to Atlantes. There Olivette recovers and she and Lucius bond. But just as things are looking up a crack is discovered in the dome covering Atlantes. Did he finally find his true mate only to loose her and all of his subjects? What kind of a King does that make him?
Fantastic book and what a surprise ending!!

Finalé with a flourish!
Everything has an end even immortality. The dome is fractured thanks to those psychotic Olympian zealots and King Lucius volunteers to be the first to expose skin and breath surface air, which is a success. However with his lackluster suicide attempt, Lucius gains himself a bride. Although ward is the official term but as the one to bestow the life saving kiss to Olivette, Lucius realizes what his hunters with brides feel. While claiming his mate he must save his people once again. Epic ending to a fantastic series. Love it!
