Cole and Sasha are back for this novella. It’s a brief glimpse into their relationship as it stands now and dives into a bit of Cole’s past. Sasha also tries something new with Cole that she surprisingly enjoys-I definitely enjoyed reading about her experience. This is a great novella and a fast one to devour. Loved it.
Continues the story of Cole and Sasha from THE MASTER. A secret from Cole’s past could destroy their relationship. Honesty and acceptance will be what will keep them together. The lighter side of BDSM.
I’m absolutely hooked on this series.
This is a great follow up the The Master, a book that needs to be read before this one. But this novella gives more of the wonderful intimacy of Cole and Sasha. Cole`s past put a glitch in the future their relationship, but isn’t something with fighting for. Actually, by reading the whole Submissive series, this novella will be even better.
3 1/2 STARS!
He’s on the verge of making her his everything when his past comes back to haunt him! Cole and Sasha are enjoying their life together when he gets reminded of a time in his life that he’d rather forget. Dredging it all to the surface again just might change their happily ever after! I always enjoy seeing the members of the group again, so it’s always a joy to read another book in the series, but this one was a bit too short and left some development out. I also found it hard to connect with Cole when he showed his coldness towards her when he was the one in the wrong for keeping secrets. Loved reading it, but not my fav in the series.
Investigative journalist Cole Johnson is on the verge of having everything he’s ever desired. He’s finally in a relationship that completes him, and he’d give his soul in order to fulfill all of her needs. Just when it seems everything is perfect, a visitor brings a blast from his past that sets him on edge.
Florist Sasha Blake has finally found fulfillment in her life at Cole’s side. She adores being with him, and is pleased he wants forever, but even though she enjoys Fritz and Kate’s company, this visit from them has her on edge for some reason. Cole’s attitude change when Fritz presents him with an old journal makes her nervous, but when a suspicious red envelope arrives, she has to find out what’s going on!
As usual, Tara Sue Me’s writing completely captivates me. The strength and sensuality of her characters combined with her expertly crafted storylines make for a thoroughly enjoyable reading experience. This quick read is a senuous footnote to Cole and Sasha’s story. I can never recommend a book by Tara enough!
The Mentor and the Master A Submissive Series Novella Tara Sue Me
5 emotional stars
“The hardest part about burying your past is everyone wanting to give it life support.”
Ahhh this read had me squirming, crying, hopeful, frustrated and left me happy. My emotions were all over the board for this couple.
“I don’t know what it’s about. I only know whenever I think about tonight, I get an uneasy feeling in my stomach.”
What happens when you expect complete trust and honesty, but don’t seem to give it in return…Secrets have a way of surfacing and destroying beautiful moments.
“Had he ripped her heart out with his hands, it couldn’t have hurt more.”
Book Review: 5 Stars
The Master and The Mentor is the awesome erotic novella about Sasha and Cole’s happiest moment in their life. One of the things that I love the most about Tara Sue Me’s The Submissive series is that she always gives more about the awesome couples of this awesome group of kinky people!! Sasha and Cole are a dear couple to me and I’m so happy to read about this important time in their lives. I love their relationship. They are great as Master/slave. They take care of each other and love each other so much.
“Will it always be this way between us, do you think?” she asked him, later, when their pulses had slowed and she rested with her head on his chest. “No,” he said, stroking her hair. “Based on what I’ve experienced so far with you, it’ll only get better.”
This novella has a particular scene that had me in pieces. I only read BDSM from two authors because they know what they are writing about, and sometimes it can get messy, especially with punishments, and Oh. Boy. there’s a scene in this book that was hard to read and shocking in so many levels, but I trust Tara Sue Me and she wrote a beautiful ending for this novella that I loved so much.
All in all, The Master and The Mentor is full of passion, true love, best friends and so much kink! Perfect addition to the Submissive Series.
