He can be a teddy or a grizzly. She’s a genius with a wrench. Can the pretty mechanic tame this cowboy’s wild side, or will they both be left broken-hearted this Christmas?Bear Glover can be a grizzly or a teddy, and he’s always thought he’d be just fine working his generational family ranch and going back to the homestead alone. But he’s had a crush on Samantha Benton for a while now, and he’s … while now, and he’s decided it’s time to do something about it.
But his first date with Sammy is a spectacular disaster. He’s embarrassed and doesn’t call her back, but when three tornadoes hit Three Rivers, his first thought is of the beautiful woman he’d really like a second chance with.
Sammy feels like she has to be the strong one in her family. Ever since her sister and her husband died, Sammy’s taken care of Lincoln, her sister’s son, and her aging parents.
And three tornadoes?
They’ve only added the weight of the world to Sammy’s shoulders. School’s been canceled, and she has nowhere for her eight-year-old to go.
Bear knows exactly what to do with an eight-year-old boy on a ranch, and he offers to take Lincoln up to Shiloh Ridge Ranch with him every day. Bear has a lot of contacts in town, and he’s able to help Sammy and her parents get cleaned up and back in their houses in record time.
In fact, Bear has an answer for everything—which only makes Sammy feel weak. And she hates nothing more than feeling weak. Can Sammy realize that the Lord may have given her Bear so she doesn’t have to be strong all the time? Or will she sabotage their relationship this holiday season?

I enjoy Liz Isaacson’s writing style and her plots are fun to read. Lots of characters and interesting situations.
Really enjoyed this sexy, fun, heartwarming and action packed journey filled with engaging charters, witty dialog, heart racing twists, exciting turns and sweetly thrilling passion. Highly entertaining and emotionally thrilling adventure that had me on the edge of my seat from beginning to end.
Liz did it again. Love her books, you can’t put them down until you finish reading.
Bear Glover is the oldest of the Glover clan. His 45 and not married but has been interested in Sammy Benton, his mechanic for a good while. He finally gets up the nerve to ask her out. The first date did not go so well.
Sammy is the only surviving daughter and is taking care of her aged parents and raising her nephew. She feels like she has to do everything for herself and has a hard time letting others do for her. Bear wants to take care of her and is always jumping in and doing for her and gets himself in trouble with her.
You need to get this book and find out how it ends. It is a very good read with wonderful characters and a great story line.
A enjoyable and inspirational read you’ll be glad you added to your reading list. The story line grabs your attention and pulls you in from the beginning and keeps you turning the pages and sitting on the edge of your seat. The characters are amazing, easy to get to know and even easier to fall in love with. A great friends to lovers, western romance you’ll find hard to put down once you start reading. I highly recommend this contemporary romance story.

Bear has had to be in charge since his dad passed and sometimes the grizzly comes out and he doesn’t like it but it gets the job done and then there’s Sammy; no matter what he can’t manage to find the right words to ask her out but he finally does and he flops. Sammy has had to be the strong one in her family and I feel like Sammy because in my family in expected to be the strong one too and you would think I would feel more like Bear because I lost my dad at a young age and had to step up but its Sammy’s struggles that kept me reading this book. I like Sammy feel we have to be strong all the time and cannot ask for help and like Sammy its hard to relinquish that feeling but if I could find an amazing man like Bear an f get him to propose to me and allow me to relax Sammy did I would elated. This is why I love to read Liz Isaacson’s book’s because she expresses how we all feel at times and makes us feel goof about ourselves. Wonderful book.

The Mechanic of Mistletoe is book 1 in the new series Shiloh Ranch in Three Rivers by Liz Isaacson about the Glover family.
First up is Bear Glover whether is his a grizzly or a teddy bear depending on his mood and Sammy Benton a woman mechanic genius with a sunny disposition. Totally opposites but the chemistry is off the charts. Both has felt the attraction but…never do anything about. Until the area is devastated by tornadoes. Sammy feels the weight of the world on her shoulders but Bear is determined to take as much as possible away from her.
Will these two let God and fate show them the way to finding happiness and love together or will the grizzly “Bear” come out and destroy it all? Time will tell….
The Mechanics of Mistletoe is a terrific friendship to love romance. Sammy adopted her nephew when her sister and brother-in-law were killed in an accident, so between being a single mom, running her business and helping out her elderly parents, she figures that romance is just not in her future. Besides, the one man who makes her heart beat faster is a confirmed bachelor.
Bear is almost 45 and this birthday is making him think about his future. Bear has been attracted to Sammy for years and now that her nephew is a bit older, he asks Sammy out to dinner. Which is a disaster because they are both too nervous.
When tornadoes hit their small town, Bear and Sammy work together helping repair the storm damage, and find their way into a relationship. There are bumps and setbacks on the way, but Sammy and Bear work their way into a happy ending.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I think I grew up with Bear – he has a heart of gold and has been taking care of his family ranch, brothers and cousins for so long that he has a bit of trouble allowing Sammy her space. Likewise, Sammy has been taking care of her small family and running her garage for so long, that she has trouble allowing anyone to help. Thankfully, they are both stubborn enough to work through the problems together.
I highly recommend The Mechanics of Mistletoe, and I am definitely reading the next book in the series when it comes out!

I am looking forward to this new series by Liz Isaacson. I love how she weaves her series and families together. We met Bear Glover in an earlier Three Rivers series and it was good to meet his family. As we get to know the far-reaching Glover family, we also get to touch base with old friends. This book has friendship, romance, humor, tragedy, grief, tornadoes and many glimpses of normal Texas life. I really look forward to getting to know the rest of the Glover family.
I have been waiting for Bear’s story, he really likes Samantha Benton but doesn’t know how to ask her out. It was interesting to see how things would work out for them. So many things happen and they go through a lot of ups and downs. Liz Isaacson know how to write a heartwarming and inspirational story. I really like how the characters ask God for help or advise. I truly enjoyed this book and cannot wait for Ranger’s story. I recommend this book to all who love romance. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and the views and opinions are my own.
It was good to visit Three Rivers again and for the first in a series this one was a page turner from the first page to the last

The first book in the Shiloh Ridge Ranch in Three Rivers Romance series a well written story that had me smiling at somethings as I read. I will be reading this book again. I want to read the next book in this series. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Bear, the oldest brother in the Glover family, is a shy guy, but he’s had his eye on Sammy for a long time. He finally has the nerve to ask her out, and the date is a disaster. Sammy’s life is complicated… She’s a single mom to the nephew she adopted when her sister and brother-in-law died… She owns the mechanic shop in town… She’s keeping an eye on her aging parents… She’d like marriage, family, kids. And she’s so attracted to Bear. This is a sweet (and clean) romance, set in Three Rivers, and a wonderful start to a new series. This is such a great small town, the kind of place we’d all love to live, everyone pulling together for clean-up and renovation after the tornado sweeps through town. Bear is a sweetheart, trying so hard to win Sammy over. She’s had to be strong for so long that she doesn’t know how to let him help her. But with prayer and God’s help…

This is a nice, sweet, Christian story and the first book in the new Shiloh Ridge Ranch in Three Rivers series, I liked Bear’s big family and how close-knit they are. I also really liked Bear and how sweet and caring he really is. His nickname was Bear and a lot of the time he was a grizzly bear but around Samantha he was a big old teddy bear.
I enjoyed their awkward first date and I was glad the tornado brought them back for a second chance. He and Sammy seemed like a good fit. I also liked how Sammy was raising her nephew and just called him her son since he had been with her since he was three and now he is eight.
This is a wonderful story to lead off this new series. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
If this book is any indication, the new Shiloh Ridge Ranch series by Liz Isaacson is going to be sooo good! I loved this story about Bear Glover, a larger-than-life character who had been known to turn grizzly at times but inside he was really a teddy bear. Bear has been busy running Shiloh Ridge Ranch and now that he is approaching his 45th birthday, he feels like he needs to find a wife and start a family before it’s too late. He has a crush on Sammy, a local mechanic who has always admired Bear but she has been super-busy running her business and mothering her nephew after his parents died. Their story is very sweet and romantic. And the book also introduces other characters who I can’t wait to learn more about as the series progresses. Highly recommend! I was entrusted with a copy of this book by the author and this is my voluntary and honest review.
Just when Bear finally finds the courage to ask Sammy for a date – after nearly 2 years – Three Rivers is hit by a tornado and everyone has to pitch in and to help each other to overcome the damages. We meet a lot of old friends in this book, should you be familiar with Ms. Isaacson’s earlier stories of Three Rivers.
It was nice to see the small town network working hand in hand, helping each other without fail, in addition to the romance growing between two late bloomers. A lovely story in itself, but enhanced by the community spirit described.

What a birthday!
When I am looking to read a well-written contemporary piece then I turn to Liz Isaacson. Like this book, they are always engaging and such an entertaining read. Bear and Samantha story made for a splendid book to curl up with on this raining afternoon. It is a bit longer so will take more time to read but trust me the time will fly by. It was a heartwarming piece that left a smile on my face after I was done reading it. This is a book I am happy to recommend. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
I have read other books by Liz Isaacson and loved those, and this did not disappoint. This is the story of Bear and Samantha. Bear works his family ranch with his cousins and brothers. Samantha is the ranch mechanic. Bear asks Samantha on a date that is a total disaster, and does not call. Samantha is taking care of her elderly parents and her nephew. Three tornadoes hit, school closes so Bear brings Lincoln the nephew to the ranch. Bear also cleans up the houses and gets everyone back into them really quickly. Samantha who is overly self sufficient does not like the fact that she feels useless and that maybe she is not as strong as she would like to be. Great book and great characters.

Bear is a grumbly man. He and mechanic Sammy seem to have a great spark, though she seems hesitant to rely on their connection. A business, her nephew, and her aging and somehow unwell parents are heavy responsibilities on her shoulders
Sammy and her work family, the mechanics at her shop, help each other out with relationships tips.
When it comes to Bear and Sammy though, each already has extended family and work responsibilities. A little more goes into trying to get those two together- keep them that way
Sweet romance with grown up baggage

I had an Advance Readers Copy of this book, but this is my voluntary and honest opinion. What a great job by Liz Isaacson with this first book in a Christmas series. Using themes of love, self-sufficiency, learning to get along with others and forgiveness are woven throughout the plot. The characters are believable and their life situations are interesting.
