Being a descendant of John Alden and Pricilla Mullins I was fascinated with the story and appreciated the research and accuracy of the story! Fun and exciting book to read!
liked the historical setting
A very easy to read historical novel, recommend for teen readers. It is a good Christian based setting with realistic information regarding the Mayflower and its occupants.
The problem with this book is that it is predictable from the title to the last page. It was interesting to read about the personal experiences. But since I am a historical fiction fan, there wasn’t anything new to me. I liked the characters and the story, but I guessed who died correctly before I finished.
Really enjoyed this story. Gives great insight into what Pilgrim life may have been like.
Gave me a new perspective on the Mayflower. Great read.
This is great historical novel!
This story of those who were brave enough to leave their country travel for months to get to an unknown land where they are free to live as they like. Losing loved ones along the way. Their faith helped to carry them through.
Simple easy to read Christian based story.
I couldn’t put this book down. It made history come alive. Very well researched.
I love reading about the history of the founding and establishing of America and other countries as well. Its fascinating to read about the ways, workings and cultures of ours and different eras.
Hard to keep my interest
Very good historical book
It took me a while to get through this book. Although the historical aspects were interesting, the story was a little slow at times.
Loved the historical note and the showing of the hardships the early settlers had to deal with even before they landed.
Very historical. I enjoyed reading this book.
As I said I enjoyed the book. Faith is the key. God is always faithful and true to His Word.
EARLY AMERICAN HISTORY TOLD IN EASY TO READ FORMAT. REMINDS US HOW UNBELIEVABLY DIFFICULT OUR FOREFATHERS LIVED SO THAT WE CAN ENJOY OUR LIVES TODAY.
The author obviously did a great job of research on the Mayflower, and it seems likely that is a reflection of what those who survived that voyage encountered in the new world.
This is a good read, and from a new perspective. There was historical information in the book that I had not previously read or learned. The depth of the primary characters is great, although some of the lesser characters are not given the detail I would have liked.
I did have a hard time putting this book down once I started.
