Protecting him is no hardship.Chaze Pullman has a sixth sense for trouble. He never thought it would come in handy when a man threatens him over a hot US Marshal. Kean York may be recovering from a gunshot wound, but he’ll go to any length to protect a certain stubborn man. After all, Chaze’s life was put in danger because of York… emotions run high, information can be overlooked, and Chaze’s instincts are telling him something else is going on.
Something that may not involve him at all.
This is the third book in the Yours to Protect series. It’s novella length with a cliffhanger for the overall plot of the series, but it is HEA for the main characters.

I was so excited about this book that I skipped reading the blurb. I didn’t know what I could find and, silly me,for a bit I actually thought that Este Holland would take it easy on her characters, make this book tamer, more serene. I should of known better.
Oh,she allows York and Chaze to meet in peace, even concedes a safe ride home from the hospital and for them to arrange a date. That’s about ten pages, more or less, until Chaze steps into his house and bam! This book turns into an action movie, just like the others in Yours To Protect series.
Someone is after Chaze but it’s hard to figure out who. On the bright side, thanks to time spent in a secure location,he gets the chance to know York better and to strengthen their connection. After that, the two are a strong couple, ready to take on danger.
One of my favorite things about the book is that,at some point or another, all the characters from the previous installments of the series make an appearance. Three of them actually get kidnapped by some unknown interlopers…and I have to wait who knows how long to see what happened to them. Kudos to the author for leaving the readers hanging like that.
I finished the book and now my brain is on the frizzle. Este Holland managed to add some new elements of mystery to the series storyline and absolutely no darn answers. Just more questions. I only hope that the next book will be published sooner rather than later. Can’t wait.
Steamy M/M romance with suspense, intrigue and a sweet ending
Let me say that this was my first book in this series which made keeping up with all the characters difficult. There are a lot of characters mentioned throughout and at some point, I realized that each book, while ending happily for that couple, is only a part of a bigger story. Admittedly, it makes me want to go back and read those missed. I definitely want to read the next one, the characters for which were introduced several times into this story. And there is the only critical issue I had: there are too many characters to keep up with.
Chaze Pullman is an assistant physical therapist who also teaches photography as an adjunct professor at the University of Utah. While in the hospital he comes to assist U.S. Marshal Kean York who recently was hurt in a gun fight. They had seen one another in a previous book apparently and both liked what they saw. Chaze is interested in more than a one-night-stand which is all York wants. Yet, when Chaze is threatened by unknown people, he goes to York for help who gives it willingly.
The suspense and intrigue are written well and kept me reading. Again, the difficulty comes when trying to piece together who goes with whom, with which situation they are dealing, etc. All that said, I still recommend this book for those who like medium heat M/M romance with a very sweet ending and hints of past and future books. I volunteered to review an ARC of this book through A Novel Take PR.
