Awesome…..
She leaps back in time to save herself and unborn child from her abusive boyfriend into the arms of Hakon “the beast” who turns out to not be so beastly. Enjoyable read! Some twists that kept me guessing how it would end. With the help of a spindle, the norn and true love, love wins out.
I loved this book. I really like her style, you can really see and feel the story. I don’t like giving spoilers so would just like to say it’s really worth reading all the books in this series so far and will read what is to follow.I love her Viking stories and how she connects them to today’s issues people can have.
“The Marriage of Time: a Time Travel Romance” by Mariah Stone is a tale of a seemly impossible romance between a pregnant modern woman named Mia who runs so far from her minders day issues she falls thru time to the waiting arms of a Norseman named Hakon…who claims her as his…even though he believes her a mite strange….but in spite of vast differences in outlooks they fall in love and make their unusual relationship work. Much enjoyed and Highly Recommended. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Copy of this book.

Excellent series waiting for next book. There has to be more
The great storyline and interesting characters kept me totally hooked as I turned each and every page until the very end!
Love time-travel books. This is third in the series. Each one gets better. Worth a read. Don’t miss this series.
I think everyone in his life wants to go back in time ….. but 1100 years is a very big step!
I thought it was a wonderful story that I read in one go. The story of Mia and Hakon is beautifully told and displayed so realistic that I easily sunk into the book. Not only the female role is well written out emotionally but also that of the man. I sometimes miss that in novels I read. That a man can also be vulnerable and make choices that can lead to heartache. Fortunately it is a book with an HEA. I will now quickly read the other books in this series …..
This book contained 2 of my favorites, Mafia and Viking Time Travel romance. This book by Mariah Stone is a great read. Mia was in an abusive relation with a mafia boss and Hakon is a Viking jarl set to marry his enemies daughter. With the help of a norm, Mia is sent back in time and ends up at the place Hakon is to be meeting his betrothed. Hakon mistakes Mia as Arinborg, his so to be wife. To protect Mia’s baby, she pretends to be his wife. They fall in love, then the real Arinborg shows up. Mia runs away to the spot she came through time in and ends back up in her time. Meantime Hakon does not marry Arinborg because he is in love with Mia and travels to the future to save Mia. Mia ends up going back the past to be with Hakon. Of course there is more to the story but you will need to read it.
Really nice time travel story! It is well written and I couldn’t stop reading. I hope there will be a next book about her son Ulf, traveling back to the future.

Mariah has done it again with another thrilling ride through time of a modern woman to a Viking of centuries past. Mia is on the run from her dangerous boyfriend, Hakon, to save the lives of his men in battle, agrees to marry the Princess daughter of the King Hakon wants to kill; the man who orchestrated the death of Hakon’s mother. Hakon comes upon Mia at the arranged meeting place, and after he terrifies her, she agrees she is the Princess and marries him. And so the adventure begins.
I really loved Hakon and Mia. Their love had to grow from nothing. She has to learn to trust him. We see them blossom as they get to know one another. Hakon was in love with Mia before ever cementing a physical bond. He loved her spirit and nurtured her soul. This instantly hit all my soft spots. Great book!

Get ready for a crazy journey! I gobbled this one down in 1 day!
This has to be my favorite of the Called by a Viking series so far. I love time travel romance books and the idea of going back to Viking times, too much fun! Mariah goes into so much more detail in this book, and it really brought the times and characters to life, I really grew to love watching them fall in love. The side twist in the story was a nice add to keep the adventure moving nicely. Mia was fun, interesting and a well rounded character.
Hakon’s transformation from a hopeless mess to a devoted, husband, is one of the things I loved most about his character. So much to love, you just want to squish his badass Viking body until he gets that he is worthy! I’m glad he has Mia to take care of him now, and that he can certainly take care of her.
This book was also funny and lighthearted and I really really wish I could see Hakon shirtless! It would be my favorite time of day as well.
If you love time travel or Vikings you should give this a try!

This book was fantastic! I must admit to being a time-travel junkie, but Ms. Stone has a way of putting her words on paper so you feel like you are actually living in the story with the characters. I felt badly for both the main characters at first. Mia with her mix up with the Mob and her resultant pregnancy, and Hakon, the “Beast” with his upbringing of hate, fear, and distrust simply due to a birthmark on his face. To see them both let down their walls and allow a true love to develope between them was a true joy.
I would highly recommend this book to any reader, as well as the others in this series by Ms. Stone. You will not regret it!

Unexpected
This is quite different from the usual time-travelling books I read, why? (Spoiler: The past was able to trail the future also and not just the other way around where the future can only go back to the past). The suspense has me gritting my teeth towards the end. This is a great read. Steady pacing, great world-building, as well as character development and chemistry. I am looking forward for more of the author’s books.

Mia is given a chance to escape her life in an unexpected way. Hakon is given a chance to reevaluate his beliefs. Do they have a chance to find love together? Read Marriage of Time to find out.

This was a new type of romance for me usually not my cup Of tea. But I actually really enjoyed the storyline and the characters. The authors writing style made the storyline flow smoothly. And the chemistry between the couple was undeniable.

Not my usual genre, but Mariah Stone writes a really compelling book!! Hakon and Mia are interesting, well written characters, both with baggage the other must unknowingly deal with. The book moves quickly, has some surprises, and is a page turner from start to finish. Great Read!!

Mia is trying to escape her brutal mob boyfriend when she’s offered the chance of a lifetime. She grabs it with both hands, it’s her last resort and she ends up in Viking times with Jarl Hakon grabbing her, thinking she is is bride. Hakon only wants to marry her (he thinks she is his promised bride) to get revenge on his enemy who is her father. He lies, she lies and they end up married and all is fine until truths start to come out. Great adventure and good characters who strike a spark on each other — only the lies may finish them before their enemies get to them. Fun read, fast and easy. This is the third in the Time Travel Series but it does stand alone. (I voluntarily reviewed an ARC).
This is a great read with plot twists and turns that keep you wanting to read to find out what is going to happen. The characters are well developed.
