New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Katee Robert begins a smoking hot contemporary romance series about the O’Malley family-wealthy, powerful, dangerous and seething with scandal. Teague O’Malley hates pretty much everything associated with his family’s name. And when his father orders him to marry Callista Sheridan to create a “business” alliance, Teague’s ready to tell his dad … “business” alliance, Teague’s ready to tell his dad exactly where he can stuff his millions. But then Teague actually meets his new fiancee, sees the bruises on her neck and the fight still left in her big blue eyes, and vows he will do everything in his power to protect her.
Everyone knows the O’Malleys have a dangerous reputation. But Callie wasn’t aware just what that meant until she saw Teague, the embodiment of lethal grace and coiled power. His slightest touch sizzles through her. But the closer they get, the more trouble they’re in. Because Callie’s keeping a dark secret-and what Teague doesn’t know could get him killed.

Hot hot! I just loved this! Teague and Callie were so steamy and wonderful! There were some tense moments but so good. I cannot wait to read the next story.
3.5 stars
I’m not one to read very many mafia/mob type stories. It’s not that I dislike them, I just don’t love them the way I do other genres under the contemporary romance scope. Usually when I do read the sub-genre, it’s because I already know the author well and adore their other work. So, I can’t say for sure (because sometimes my short-term memory is just crap) why I decided to give this book a try. I’m no overly familiar with this author’s work, but decided to pick this story up anyway. Who knows? And while I didn’t fall in love with the story and the genre, I did enjoy the read.
Teague O’Malley makes a great hero. I really enjoyed the parts of the book that centered around him. That’s not to say I disliked Callie, but there were times that I really questioned her decision making skills. Plus, Teague and Callie together are really great. Yet, overall, Teague is who made this story work for me. He is compassionate and cares about the world around him, not just his family. It’s great that family is such a central thing for these “organizations”, but to put family about good morals and doing what is right I just cannot get behind. Callie did that a bit too much for me. She made decisions solely on how they would affect her dad and not how they would affect the world as a whole really bothered me.
Obviously, Callie’s upbringing in this underground world was much different than Teague’s. While her dad is no angel, at least he was kind to her and her brother all their lives. Teague wasn’t (and still isn’t) so lucky. But he still turned out to be a wonderful human being. Since this series is named after his family, I’ll assume the following stories will center on his siblings. At this point I’m happy with that because I’m all-in on the storyline of his sister Carrigan. (Another story I think I’ll like the hero much more than the heroine, but I’ll try to reserve judgement.) I believe the rest of his siblings will have their own interesting stories to tell as well. They seem to be a pretty diverse bunch for all being from one family.
I enjoyed this story enough that I’ll definitely read the next book to see how it goes. That’s saying a lot since, as I said, this isn’t really a genre I gravitate toward.

Too much bad language! Good story.
You can never go wrong with Katee Robert
You will be hooked and will not be able to put down this book and will want to continue reading the series.
Just started this book and won’t finish it.
Callie and Teague are quite a jam packed ride! They both come from families that are deep within in the mob world. Callie has almost had her life planned out for her due to her family and position but with a narrow escape she is still free . A chance meeting with Teague and an undeniable attraction. Is it possible that two strong willed and powerful people can each give a little to find their happiness. So much in this story. Crime, Mystery, Attraction, Sexual Chemistry and so much action !

Three families fighting to combine alliances through marriage, but who really ends up on top? This thrilling mafia love story will keep you on the edge of your seat guessing what will happen next! Sopranos meet Romeo and Juliet, still ain’t got nothing on this series!
I waited to read book two before I reviewed book one purposely. These two books roll consecutively that I highly recommend you read these two books back to back. Why? Because the emotions you feel after meeting Callista and Teague will carry over.
The Marriage Contract is the perfect opening to a series that I can already see will be addictive. Three powerhouse families who want to run Boston. Lies. Secrets. Betrayal. Loyalty. Honor… but above all FAMILY.
Callista Sheridan is the heir of the Sheridan family. Teague O’Malley is a pawn, a bargaining chip, in the O’Malley family. When both Callista and Teague are forced to marry, no one was counting on the chemistry that sparks between them. However, there are secrets. While their union is beneficial, becoming allies causes a war in Boston.
And war… is just how the series goes from good to epic..
Add this book to your list of must read.
I fell in love with Teague off the bat, “I might not deserve you, but I’m sure as fuck going to do right by you.” Teague is going to spoil his woman forever, “then we’ll take one.” He glanced down at the bandages covering his chest. “As soon as the doctor gives me a thumbs -up on being able to do my husbandly duties.” I really liked this book I loved Teague.
There are a lot of aspects to love about this book, but the one I loved the most is the background of the hero and heroine. They are the product of competing crime families. It amazes me how the author could make me care for such flawed characters. I’ve read the whole series and highly recommend any thing she writes.
