Daniel Silva creates great characters in intense situations of espionage and thrills.
Love all his books and this was great, as usual
Love all his books
Daniel Silvia writes very engaging stories, have read all of his books. His storylines I have found, are ripped from International Headlines. I have even noticed that storylines that he has written, quite a few of his stories, appear to predict the future.
Tremendous detail is used to build his plots, at times, after reading feel as if visited the European or Middle East areas he describes. Engaging plots, that educate, plus brings you into the action as he describes it. A writer that has delivered to his readers, constant terrific stories. While educating the reader in world events.
An early book by Silva, this novel pre-dates his Gabriel Allon novels and – in fact – contradicts some of Allon’s fictional back story. It’s a little dated in some places (Tom Brokaw and Peter Jennings are stlll news anchors), but the plot is timeless as a former CIA field officer (spy) attempts to find and halt an assassin from his past.
Fast moving and intense, Mark of the Assassin is a great read for lovers of thriller novels.
I love Daniel Silva’s spy novels, so this one did not disappoint. The main character in this one is not so much a spy although he works for the CIA, but this story is more about him resolving some past issues and a lot about the Dynamics between he and his wife. More centered in the US than his others but still about terrorism and the secret world of governments and spying and following the money. Good book if you like conspiracy and fighting terrorism.
Suspenseful.
Silvia always does a great job of pulling you into his stories.

Good read
Gripping book.
I like Dan Silva as an author. This my first read of his without his famous art restorer protagonist. I enjoyed this book but on a sucker for the spy, mystery genre. Some characters were a bit needy and not believable, but the main characters kept me engaged.
Excellent mystery. Good characters. Fun to read.
Usual Silva…very well done and worth reading.
I love all of Daniel Silva’s books! The plots move along well and are hard to put down. Highly recommend.
Adore the whole series with Gabriel Allon as the hero. So well written and
contemporary. I think Siva is one of the great thriller writers.
Daniel Silva is absolutely fantastic. As soon as a new book comes out I drop everything else I am reading until I finish, and I always want another.
A fun read. It is a little scary since it is set in our present fraught political time.
This is an enlightening story about the issues facing the world currently with problems from ISIS and other countries.
Fast paced reading with spies, assassins and intrigue.
I love the Gabriel Allon character and the situations he must figure out. Keeps you on the edge of your seat
