When she was a poor country girl in a hand-me-down dress, Rosamund saved the Duke of Swanhaven from the brink of despair…only to fall in love with him. Now a celebrated mannequin for an exclusive London dressmaker, her glamorous life is empty without the man to whom she gave her heart. Can a beastly duke and a beautiful mannequin ever find a fairy-tale ending?
Interesting characters that I cared about.
I enjoyed this book a great deal! An interesting premise – being a Mannequin.
A fun read!
Nice romantic brain candy. Easy read over a weekend
Great book. An original concept good character development. Liked back story and ending. The original ideal of modeling in the 19th century. The clothing industry and brief history was good. Enjoyed the book. Read part I as well..
Just very good read, with good research and likeable chatacters.
great book and an easy read.
I’m hooked. A delightful read I did not want to put down. Love her characters. When finished I was disappointed it was over, so I went right for the second book. Entertaining and witty, I had laugh out loud moments. An escape book from our modern days without the explicit sex scenes.
Good read
An entertaining read but like a lot of these romance books there’s some problems with how life actually was lived.
Still a pleasant read for the beach.
Clean historical romance.
I enjoyed this for it’s likable heroines and recognizable villains. Reflective of life in dfemonstrating that nobody’s perfect.
Good Clean Romance
Wonderful story about the heroine being hired by the grandmother to help her son, the hero, through a very desperate time of withering away from the grief of losing his family. Wonderful dialogue between the two main characters.
A book that made you root for the characters happy ending, even when all hope seemed lost. This book had it all from a Duke who needed saving to the Cinderella who rescues him, with the help of an Aunt who only wants them both happy. A story worth reading.
Very boring
Happily ever after ending
Sweet story of a kind-hearted young woman who helps pull a young man from deep grief. Later they come to know each other in a different setting and love blooms. I love the kind, loving grandmother of the Duke. There are some evil family members who have done nothing to help poor Rosamund.
a bit different…highly improbable!!
I love a good “Cinderella” story. Nice clean romance as I remember.
