Romance moves a little fast for realism; but, still good.
Predictable, labored. Sorry, it just didn’t make it.
A typical regency romance…
All of Eric Ridley books are an excuse to escape for a time.
Very good!
Great book, great story, great characters with depth
Good story but main characters were shallow and not well written.
Interesting
Great characters and leaves you feeling happy and wanting more at the end!
I really enjoy this series. Erica Ridley is an author that I follow. This one was not my favorite of the series. I did like the H. It is a 3 and 1/2 stars for me.
Read all four in this series..loved them no cursing, clean writes.
A fun book for light entertainment.
What can I say… Erica Ridley NEVER disappoints! She doesn’t sugar-coat the horrors of war’s aftermath, but makes her characters likable and strong, while still managing to instill enough humor to draw you in. Many of her books, this one included, bring back characters to tell their story. Everyone, eventually, gets their own happy ending… often in most unexpected ways!
Liked the characters.
this was a really fun read that was just perfect for my plane ride.
PTSD may have a name now, but it’s certainly not new. This novel casts a wounded warrior of the Napoleonic wars into the social whirl that was regency England, but obviously he needs some help, hence the faux fiance’e. And she’s perfect for him, if not anyone else!
Sweet love story
I am a fan of Erica Ridley’s writing, and this book in her Dukes of War series does not disappoint.
In order to love one must love urself. Major Bloodpole, suffered guilt along w his war injury of a missing half leg. Physically he was better, but mentally he had to heal and accept himself. I enjoyed reading this book.
Enjoyed this story and one of the “Dukes of War” series. Interesting from the point of view of an amputee.
