★★★★★“Real-life conflicts with humor, tears and a happy ending.” — Amazon Reviewer
A story about new friendships, a forgotten Book Club, and finding what you didn’t know you needed.
Welcome to Magnolia
Maggie is thirty-six, recently divorced and embarrassingly unemployed. With a bank account nearing zero she does the only thing she can think of: make a … bank account nearing zero she does the only thing she can think of: make a business proposition to her gorgeous and successful estranged mother.
To Maggie’s utter surprise, her mother agrees. Any funds she can create off the sale of the dilapidated family inn on the island of Magnolia would be hers to invest.
So Maggie packs her few belongings and heads off to Rhode Island to make her dreams come true.
Clementine has been stuck in Magnolia her whole life. The moment her father was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s she knew she could never leave. And it was unrealistic for her to rely on her older brother, Archer, who can’t seem to outrun the ghosts of his past.
So when Maggie blows into town, both Clementine and Archer find themselves intrigued by the new move-in.
When they stumble upon an old photograph of Maggie’s grandmother buried up in the attic, Maggie can’t help but be drawn to a woman she’s never met. In an attempt to feel closer to a family she never knew, a book club is revitalized.
The Red Stilettos Book Club.
What starts out as an act of desperation, soon becomes exactly what the women of Magnolia island were looking for, a sisterhood.
The Magnolia Inn will capture you from page one. It is a story chock full of friendship, laughter, and swoon-worthy romance.

I was lost in this first in series book – the characters were all so human and I found myself even rooting for the Inn. Well written and a great read.
Very pleasant read! Enjoyed the next one and have pre-ordered the third. Looking forward to completing the series!!
Although essentially a romance, this book is about relationships in general – mother-daughter, daughter-father, brother-sister- and about how choices affect those relationships. It’s about finding where you belong and building the life you want. Some things fall into place a little too easily, but the author did a good job building her characters and creating a sense of place. I’m curious to see what comes next for the main characters and would particularly like to see if Maggie learns more about the grandmother she never knew.
Realistic characters that deal with difficult situations and people. Well done!
Very entertaining.
Didn’t like it at all.
This book was just okay in my opinion. It wasn’t terrible but not as good as it could’ve been.
Very predictable.
Predictable
A nice, realistic story of a girl reconnecting with her mom.
Loved it
Who can pass up a good story about second chances. To learn to forgive your self and embrace the present
I loved the concept of this book – writing about Maggie primarily but Clementine is much more than a side character and the next book will be about her and another member of the Red Stiletto Book Club. Archer, oh my, he has suffered such heartache. He and Maggie were so good for each other and slowly helped heal each other’s hurts. Clementine has had her share of heartache – can not wait to read her book – and things with her dad are so sad. This is one great start to this series and I hope this author writes each book really fast!!! Romance, family, friends, healing, second chance at love and so much more.
It told the story of a woman whose mother had a difficult life and was tough on her daughter. But had a happy ending.
I loved this story!
This was a fun read! A feel good story! Loved the story line and the characters!
It was rather predictable, just “eh”.
too many unnecessary words, story was dragging along
