Fun read. Good coming-of-age story with magical overtones. Could be a good young adult read where the main character goes from nerd to hero in a developing world of nerdy heroes. Strong friendships and strong rivalries.
I loved it! Harry Potter Meet time travel
This book is written more for the teen market then adult but it was interesting and well written.
Although the theme my be old, the book kept my attention. For those of us who enjoy tempted, this book was like potato chips. Before you know it, the bags empty,
It was an amazing book with unpredictable turns with lots of action
now that I finished the book my previous review needs to be updated.. this was ok but it’s still not something that really appeals to me. the character development was good though and the story was interesting. all in all a good read
You cannot help but live a young flawed hero who might no know where he is going but he does know he is saving the world- somehow…
Very enjoyable reading. Didn’t want to put down .
The Harry Potter quality of this book drew me in. The characters were very well developed, the pacing was great and I couldn’t help but cheer for the genius of the main character and his display of courage and persistence when facing insurmountable odds.
Although this smacks of a Harry Potter wannabe , this book is very entertaining. A fun read!
Poor man’s Harry Potter.
As much as I dislike serial novels, there was an acceptable ending and I’ll keep my eye out for the sequel. The main character was so believable (for a fantasy) and likable.
I thought it was somewhat amusing, though predictable and juvenile for my taste. Almost bought the next one in the series.
Derivative and annoying. I expected better
Not my usual type of read and I found the reading to be slow.
The author created several interesting and unpredictable characters. The story was action packed and easy to read. This was a great and fun book to read.
A must read for anyone who enjoys adventure and fantasy!
This book has a top-notch storyline that completely draws you in. From the beginning to the end, it had me on the edge of my seat, wondering what was going to happen next. The story makes for a suspenseful and exciting read. I received a free copy but my review is voluntary. I couldn’t put it down or go to bed until I finished it!
Loved and went on reading the series
I haven’t read a book written for teens since Twilight and Hunger Games but I ordered this book to see if it would good chapter reading for my seven year old grandson. I thought it was very entertaining and enjoyed it as much as I think any middle school grade child might. I’ll be sure to read the next book in the series and when my grandson is just a little older, I’ll be reading it to him too.
Seems good for young people.
