From a New York Times Bestselling Author, The MacKinnon’s Bride brings us love, honor, suspense, passion–all the good things we love in a Highlander Romance.
When laird Iain MacKinnon’s young son is captured by the English, the fierce Scottish chieftain retaliates in kind, capturing the daughter of his enemy to bargain for his son’s … the daughter of his enemy to bargain for his son’s return. Fiercely loyal to kin, Iain never imagines any father could deny his child–or that he would become Page FitzSimon’s savior. “Keep her, or kill her!” FitzSimon proclaims when Iain forces his hand. So, what else should a good lad do, but carry the lass home–without telling her the truth: Her father doesn’t want her. But even as Page blames her reluctant champion for welching on a bargain with her father, she suspects the truth… the shadows hold secrets… and danger. Now only love can save MacKinnon’s fiery new bride.

The Ending was soooo bad
The story was alright. The fact that he kept finding her in a crowd of naked Scotsmen hilarious. But that ending was straight Hollywood and not in a good way. In a ye gods, all for a foiled villain sputter and a simple sentence. Much better as an epilogue and McKinnon wife uttered by a hugely pregnant smiling McKinnon …
Great, great book. Have read it multiple times. One of my favorites!!!!!
This is one of my favorite books. What I liked about this story was the way the main characters built walls to protect themselves. Each person touches the other in ways the eventually build trust and love. People are imperfect and I felt a connection with them.
Hot and Steamy, Im not much of an avide reader but grew tired of TH so I decided to give it a try. I couldn’t put it down, nor sleep til I got tot the great ending. I agree that some of its plot was a bit too twisty to catch, or wasn’t expanded upon enough, but that did not deter from its intrigue of these two perfectly matched characters and …
The MacKinnon’s Bride was different from many of the novels I have read but I enjoyed the characters very much. It is the beginning of a series so it is the beginning of an interesting world.
Loads of fun, if not a lot of depth!
Iain is determined to go after his kidnapped son, and get his revenge by kidnapping the daughter of the man responsible. Little does he know just how much Page’s father values her.
We’ve got a strong and brawny hero, a feisty smart-mouthed heroine, an adorable little boy, and a villain that deserves …
I finished this last year? I’m currently reading The Holly & The Ivy which is a novella about The McKinnon Bride’s children..good read so far!
I just remember the story was good..kind of a sad the way Page’s Dad treated her.
Great chemistry between main character’s and his band of men..Hope I’m giving the right review..I just know I loved this …
Page’s father kidnaps a highland leader ‘s son so he steals his daughter in retaliation. The problem is Page’s father doesn’t want her back. A well written book set in ancient Scotland.
Enjoyed this Scottish Historical Romance. Fiesty herione and devoted laird and single father. Opening was the hook.
Great read
I love the sense of humor in this book. The scene where Page sings loudly at night to keep her stores awake, when Page tries to escape and the Scots are running after her in their birthday suits, and loosing Raynalds body in the lake made me giggle. Pages compassion when dealing with Malcom or with Broc’s fleas made her a strong woman who …
Enjoyable characters. Good story.
This is the clean version, there are several parts missing in the book that can be confusing.
I absolutely adored this book! As a fan of the Historical Romance genre, & a hardcore Scotophile, The MacKinnon’s Bride was right up my alley! I’m very eager to continue the Highland Brides series, as well as branch out into more of Crosby’s work!
I always enjoy Tanya Crosby.
A fun read. Some good laughs.
Great Read
VERY ENJOYABLE, WONDERFUL CHARACTORS AND THE TYPE OF BOOK HARD TO PUT DOWN. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
Great read, I enjoyed reading this book, it’s the kind of book you read more than once and still enjoy it.
I felt sorry for Paige when her nasty father rejected her. The author’s description of her characters made them so real you hate them or love them. Good book!
