He lives alone for a reason, and Jace doesn’t like to be disturbed, but when a woman shows up cold, alone, and scared for her life, his protective instincts kick in. She’s not just protecting a bear, she’s protecting HIS bear, and Jace will do anything to keep them both safe.
Running for her life she finds love with an unexpected man. Polly’s best friend Alexis is murdered by her dirty cop father and another policeman. Now on the run with Alexis’ baby, Polly is trying to find Brandon’s father, who thinks Alexis and his unborn child died six months ago. Caught in a storm, wet and miserable, she takes refuge in a cabin owned by a big handsome man. Imagine her surprise when it’s the man she was looking for, Jace. She is attracted to him and in their grief they comfort each other (the sex was hot), but her friend’s dad is hunting her. Jace will have to protect her and the baby. I loved Jace. He was so kind and loving. He wasn’t afraid to take care of the baby. And after meeting Polly he knew he wanted her forever. I enjoyed this book from beginning to end. It was a great with the having characters that are well developed and engaging and have plenty of chemistry. The flow of the storyline was steady and smooth.

An intense but quick shifter romance.
Polly showed up at Jace’s front door in the middle of a snowstorm with his cub. The cub he thought had died with his mother, his mate. But Polly has been hiding more than just the cub until last night when her world forced her to run to the only safe place she knew. Now if Jace can just keep them all safe.
This is a really good story and I really enjoyed it, however, having said that I kind of wish it had been a little more in-depth and longer to flesh out the story a bit more.
