Life on his ranch could be their future. If they can overcome their past.Felicity’s life story reads like the script to a bad soap opera. Girl’s high-school boyfriend becomes a drug addict. Girl falls for boyfriend’s best friend. Girl leaves them both behind only to return home years later for murdered ex-boyfriend’s funeral. Now she’s back home in Montana, ready to start fresh. She’s got a long … got a long list of amends to make and relationships to rebuild, including one with the man who has owned her heart for sixteen years.
Silas doesn’t need much. He’s got a great horse, close friends and the Lucky Heart ranch, but something has always been missing. He’s not an idiot. He knows the missing piece is Felicity. And now that she’s returned to Prescott, he’s got a second chance to win her heart. This time, the only thing standing in his way is history. Drudging up the past is going to be about as painful as playing tug of war with barbed wire. But if they can heal old wounds, he’ll get the girl he should have had all along.

Love this series!
The Lucky Star is INCREDIBLE.
The plot is amazing, the tension, the thrill! I had ALL THE FEELS reading this one.
Silas and Felicity’s story broke my heart and put it back together. Those two deserved their HEA so bad!
The climax! OMG! Everything was beyond perfect!
One of my favorite things about this series is the friendship and closeness between all those people. I think it’s amazing how Devney Perry can add more and more amazing characters to this series. The small town feeling is the best there is!
Yet another beautiful story from Devney… How can I not falling in love with Jamison little town? Small yet so much quirkieness.. antics.. small town feel.. its comfortable.. cozy…
Felicity and Silas had a long list of history between the two of them..the denial and back and forth was just to intensitfy their attraction… among the guilt.. pain and sadness..
I crave for the series.. its an addiction to keep going..
Another brilliant story in this series. The sister (Jess’s) you love to hate and the scary best friend of Jess get together and watch the fireworks explode. An intoxicating telling of Felicity and Silas’s past, present and future keep you turning the pages until the end…and you won’t be disappointed.
Running from the past is nothing new for Felicity. Years ago a series of events led to Felicity leaving her family and hometown behind while she sought refuge in another state. A series of ‘mistakes’ that has haunted Felicity for years prompted the snappy gal from Montana to shun everything that made her feel loved or adored. After all – what kind of girl leads her boyfriend to a path towards drug use and then falls for his best friend?? Guess you are looking at her…..
Sixteen years pass in Felicity’s absence. Nothing is the same in the small town of Prescott, Montana. A blessing and curse for Felicity. Returning home after so long of an absence has left Felicity trying her best to make up for the mistakes of the past. Nothing has quite prepared Felicity for the face to face she was about to encounter with Silas.
Falling in love with his best friend’s girlfriend was never in the plans. Yet – Silas couldn’t help the intense emotional pull he felt towards Felicity. After the repercussions of having Felicity walk out of his life so long ago, Silas still can’t help but feel the attraction the gal that stole his heart so long ago. Now that Felicity is around more, Silas can’t bring himself to stay away. Something that is proving both a blessing and a curse. Silas is determined to win Felicity’s heart, but that task is proving harder and harder to accomplish. Can the two overcome their mistakes and heartache from the past?
The Lucky Heart is the third book in the Jamison Valley series by Devney Perry. Our main character – Felicity – is quite a bit snarky and standoffish. A combination that sets the pace to this book that centers around second chances and forgiveness. In spite of the exterior, Felicity really has a soft heart that is waiting to be loved. Silas is the one regret that still haunts Felicity and causes her to feel the regret of days gone by.
These two have fought hard to find their place in life. With the patience of a Saint, Silas is in it for the long haul. Proving to Felicity that she can’t run away from him like she did so long ago. Silas is not the typical hero. Everything Silas has done in life is a result of the situation that happened between Felicity and himself. It’s a wild and crazy ride for these two, and the bumps along the way provide the premise of this sweet novel about second chance romances. This book is defiantly a standalone, but make sure you pick up all the books in the Jamison Valley series. You won’t regret it!!
Loved, loved, loved this! Such an amazing story filled with so much emotion. There were so many wonderful characters and great moments. I couldn’t read it fast enough!
Another great read in this series. I absolutely love sexy, cowboy Silas! Feisty Felicity is trying to make amends and establish a new life in her old town. Loved the connection, chemistry and banter between these two. Love the cowboy/ranch aspect of this story. Highly recommend this book.
The Lucky Heart is the 3rd book in the Jamison Valley series. It is a standalone, small town, second chance romance with a touch of suspense. I love the ‘feel’ of these stories. They are all character driven stories peopled with real characters that you can’t help but fall in love with.
“We used to be friends once. Maybe we could get back to that.”
“Friends would be good.”
“This time around, I didn’t want her running to me as an escape. This time around, I wanted her to finally choose me just because I made her happy.”
I am so in love with this series. I don’t think I can express the level of feeling I have each time I’ve picked up one of these novels. I love small town stories, I love farms, and I love deep characters with true flaws.
Felicity was … well, she was a huge jerk when we met her previously. I definitely judged her mightily and honestly wanted no part of her. I didn’t want her to stay in Jamison, and I wanted her to take her bad attitude right back where she came from. When I began The Lucky Heart, I was a little prejudiced toward her already. As the story began to unfold, however, I saw that she and I shared a lot of similarities. Using hatred & coldness as a shield, Felicity was protecting her beautiful heart. Seeing her giving spirit rise amongst her chilly attitude told me everything I needed to know about her.
Silas … *swoon* This man. I’m not sure I can express just how much I fell in love with Silas. He is definitely an alpha man, but it’s different for me. He has so much responsibility on his shoulders that he just needs someone to offer their support & give him an outlet–someone to share in the work, but ultimately let him be the leader. I didn’t see Felicity as this girl, much like his father did not see it, but I grew to understand that their differences brought them strength. Silas is definitely a man I wish I could meet and give him all the things he needs.
This story was a great addition to the series (The Coppersmith Farmhouse; The Clover Chapel). Every time I pick up one of these books, I’m gifted with so much. The characters, angst & suspense, comedy, love, and the beauty of finding your tribe. I can’t wait for the next release, and these will definitely be added to the pile for re-reading when I’m down and need to feel some happy
Wow I love the Jamison Valley series they can be read as a standalone but I suggest that you read them in order because a lot of key things from the past two stories are mentioned . At first I didn’t know what I’d think of the heroine given the past two books she came a crossed as a witch but I’m so happy I gave her a chance . Felicity and Silas are perfect for one another with off the charts chemistry , easy banter , need to make the other smile , and of course the sex between them is well written to make you all hot all over . Felicity is the sister of the hero from The Coppersmith Farmhouse book one and we got a little of her history in that but we get the full story in The Lucky Heart with two flashback chapters seeing the reason of being gone so long with the added guilt , I liked how she was trying to change her mean girl ways but when someone hurt or talked about her family and friends she let her claws out ( so cheered in that one scene ) . OH MY GOSH Silas has got to be one of my favorite heroes he’s very swoon worthy I would ride him to save a horse anytime but alas his heart and scrumptious body belong to Felicity , liked the fact that he never gave up on her and always tried to make her smile as much as possible . We get to see how past characters are doing with their growing families and we are introduced to new ones . I can’t wait for the next one in the series the hero has been in all three and the heroine appeared in this one were they also meet and I’m excited to see what’s going to happen .
