Life on his ranch could be their future. If they can overcome their past.Felicity’s life story reads like the script to a bad soap opera. Girl’s high-school boyfriend becomes a drug addict. Girl falls for boyfriend’s best friend. Girl leaves them both behind only to return home years later for murdered ex-boyfriend’s funeral. Now she’s back home in Montana, ready to start fresh. She’s got a long … got a long list of amends to make and relationships to rebuild, including one with the man who has owned her heart for sixteen years.
Silas doesn’t need much. He’s got a great horse, close friends and the Lucky Heart ranch, but something has always been missing. He’s not an idiot. He knows the missing piece is Felicity. And now that she’s returned to Prescott, he’s got a second chance to win her heart. This time, the only thing standing in his way is history. Drudging up the past is going to be about as painful as playing tug of war with barbed wire. But if they can heal old wounds, he’ll get the girl he should have had all along.

Each book I read… I fall more and more in love…The Jamison series is AMAZING!!!
5 stars for all the angst, the mystery and the hotness that I couldn’t get enough of!!
Thank you for writing Devney Perry!! You have the gift of making me hold my breath while sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for more! Lol
Silas & Felicity.
Silas is so incredible. He’s strong, loving, loyal, hard working and he’s a COWBOY! I loved that that we were given glimpses into their teenaged relationship, it really gave me the full picture as to the depth of his love for Felicity.
Felicity, for me, was such a real character. She is like so many people I know in real life. Scared and broken but good a faking it. Wanting so desperately to just fit in and have people accept her for just being her, the real her.
This story, just like the others, offers a little bit of drama, a little bit of laughs, a good bit of family and a whole lotta love!
I adored it.
I’m not really sure what to say about this book. The Lucky Heart follows Silas and Felicity(Jess’s sister and ex of Wes). The relationship between Silas and Felicity is complex because Felicity was with Wes, Silas’s best friend, and she also had a fling and long time crush on Silas as a kid. So when Felicity comes back to town she has flings with Silas while they both feel guilty about seeing each other. So they decide to actually try being together while Felicity tries to learn how to be a good person. Let’s face it, she is a bitch.
At first I was all for Silas and Felicity being together until I just got annoyed with their relationship. They are together, but each of them still have doubts about their relationship. This way of thinking went on wayy too long and it just got annoying. I was over Felicity and her constantly trying to be a good person because all her life she’s been a terrible person. I mean she actually has to work to not say bitchy stuff all the time. She was also so over being sorry to all the people she hurt after she ran off and left town when she was younger and has the nerve to be upset that people keep throwing her actions in their face. Well, maybe because your actions caused a chain reaction and hurt a lot of people who are still in pain after your actions. Get the fuck over yourself.
The Lucky Heart was a lot easier to read and not as bad as I thought it was going to be, but damn these books still annoy the hell out of me. I’m still trying to hold out hope that I will find a Devney Perry book that I will enjoy. I really hate that I don’t like this series all that much.
This was a wonderful continuation into the story of the Jamison Valley community! This story chronicled Felicity and Silas. These two had a past, but it had been a mystery to us prior as to what had happened. We got to know and understand these two, and how their earlier choices had affected them, while they got to know each other again after sixteen years apart.
We also got to catch up with some other favorites in Jamison Valley! I can’t wait for the next installment with Beau and Sabrina, and maybe we’ll get something after that with Khloe (and Paxton?)?
This was a great addition to the previous books in this series of standalones! A definite reread for me!

REVIEW:
Perry is becoming one of my top authors, as much as the Jamison Valley series is one of my top reads. I wasn’t sure what to expect with this one because Felicity kind of left a bad impression on me in the first book, her brother Jace’s wife she had treated harshly and he attitude was not great. But I was glad I got to see her story and really dig into Silas’ backstory with his family, life and Felicity.
The Lucky Heart Follows Felicity who is trying to settle back down in her hometown after many years away in Seattle. She is trying to make amends with her family, friends and people whom she treated harshly before she left. Pretty much Felicity was the mean girl in high school, she dated the rebel bad boy in town Wes (Whom if you read in the past books had a whole story to himself). Silas and Felicity have a physical relationship when she gets back, but things are complicated, their past and what happened between them is a constant painful reminder. They both have a lot to work through and the people around them are not making it any easier for them to find a happy ending.
Felicity is a tough cookie, she is trying to keep her attitude in check and start fresh with everyone. She constantly feels guilty about how she left and how she never came to visit. She has a bad taste in her mouth from her past relationship and Silas who is pretty much the only man who really got her. I felt for this girl, she was really trying to be her new self and many people threw her the cold shoulder. But overall she wasn’t going to give up, she kept on trying, especially with Silas, she wanted to make amends and be friends, or something more if he wanted it.
Silas just stole my heart, I love Jess and Nick, but Silas, his cowboy rugged sweet self was just a dream guy. I adored his understanding of Felicity, how their relationship developed in the past, and now they way he’s trying to break that wall to get her back. His relationship with his father is highly focused on and the biggest obstacle for not only him but for Felicity.
Overall this story is all about healing for both leads, they have a past, they both lost someone they grew up with and they both truly loved each other but the timing was off. The romance is intense, steamy and romantic, I loved their bickering and sweetness towards each other. The secondary characters are all back and get a great glimpse on future couples. I highly recommend this story and the whole series. I cant wait until the next book and look forward to more from Devney Perry.
The Lucky Heart is the third book in the Jamison Valley series, and by the time I got to this story, I was thoroughly invested in all of the characters of this series. Silas and Felicity’s story is a second-chance, small-town romance with a wonderful cast of characters, a well-developed plot, and a smidge of suspense which is why I love Ms. Perry’s writing so much.
In the beginning, I had to wonder just how the author was going to be able to redeem Felicity because she was such an unlikeable character. But as in all of her books, she did it by writing her with such depth and willingness to grow that Felicity just seemed to flow well from a real witch with a capital B to a lovable heroine. And Silas was the perfect mix of sweet but tough that she needed right when she needed it. But given the history between them, that wasn’t surprising. While I understand that Silas’ dad had a lot to get over, most of the time, I just wanted to smack him to make him wake up to the fact that his attitude and actions were going to cause him to lose his son altogether.
As with the first two books in the series, I’m left kicking myself that I didn’t find Devney Perry’s books sooner. As a romantic suspense and series junkie, her books have yet to fail to check all of the boxes for me.
NICUnurse’s Rating:
What an conclusion! This story had everything I have come to expect from Aleatha. A suspenseful ride that has you on the edge of your seat from the very first word. Full of secrets and lies that kept me guessing right to the end. The master of her craft with words that entice.
Rett Ramses is definitely my favourite character from this lady and she has created an immense amount of alpha males over time. The development of Emma O’Brien’s strength of character was evident and she was unquestionably the perfect match for Rett. At one point she certainly put him in his place. I did a mental high chanting “you go girl”! The power between this two is electric and on many occasions explosive.
I still have a few questions but i see there is a spin off book coming out for this character so I’m hoping I will get my answers. The only positive thing about getting to the end of Aleatha’s books is seeing what she has coming next and how long we have to wait. Even though this story is complete I get impatient for her words!
Oh my lucky-swoony heart!! Devney just excels at writing Montana Stories that are filled with crisp mountainous air, small town charm and soft simple love stories that require no extra frills or embellishments to make them impactful.
Straightforward sentiments coupled with earthy characters have always been my favorite from her.
This one was a clash between city and country, a father holding son’s future hostage while his heart pulled him towards his old flame.
A second chance romance, all characters get a second chance. Silas gets another try at love after the knockdown he suffered in his youth.
Felicity goes through her own several steps in seeking forgiveness for being a mean Bully and breaking hearts.
Felicity could’ve easily become a caricature and an easy target for hate by readers, but her compassion, her strength gives her personality a well rounded humanness which is very endearing
Wes’s parents get to have another go at nurturing a son and Elliott gets several slice(s) of humble pie
to seek forgiveness from all his family
My heart swooned, swayed with the wind and ultimately found love in the barn among horses, cows and hay.
5 stars for Felicity’s Journey Home
I was captivated from the very beginning with the mystery of where Silas and Felicity’s story began and how it would continue. They both had to move past their past hang ups to begin their relationship and watching it flourish was so beautiful. I did not want to put this book down and loved every second of it.
I did not think I was going to like Felicity but I absolutely fell in love with her and her and Silas together was perfection. They went through so much to be together if made their HEA that much more sweet. Love the Jamison Valley series!
Another fabulous book by Denvey Perry – loved Felicity and Silas’ love story. This series is like a warm blanket – I want to move to Montana too! Now can’t wait to find out what happened to Sabrina in the next book.
3,5 stars
When we first met Felicity in “The Coppersmith Farmhouse” she didn’t make a good first impression. Luckily she turned out be a great character to read about. Yes, she has her flaws, but who hasn’t? That’s what makes us human.
I loved reading Felicity and Silas story. How they overcome the past and build a future together. It’s far from easy building a relationship on a rocky foundation, but so worth it.
The setting of this series is wonderful. This time around I loved learning about live on a ranch. And seeing Prescott through another set of eyes.
Of course there is also the added bonus of the characters of the previous 2 books. They can’t be missed.
Silas and Felicity, one I absolutely love the names of the characters in this story. I love second chance romance and this was one for the books. I’m glad Felicity redeemed herself because she didn’t come across as the nicest person in The Coppersmith Farm. I’m happy her and Silas got their happy ever after.
With the glimpse of Felicity that we got in the last book, I had an entirely different picture of her in my mind.
I thought she was one piece of work. I’m glad she got her own book and that her actions were explained. My heart
went out to her. I enjoyed Silas and Felicity’s story but compared to the first two books I felt it was missing
that BIG conflict that I’ve grown to love from this series. I’m very happy to see previous characters woven into
the current stories. I’m thoroughly enjoying this series and cannot wait to read the next book.
This one is all about second chances. NOT just in the romance department. Felicity has a lot of making up to do. We are not the same people we were in high school. After being gone for 16 YEARS, returning to your small home town can be scary! Everyone makes mistakes, some worse than others but EVERYONE deserves a second chance.
Felicity and Silas is a rough ride. She left town years ago and he thinks she is still in love with her ex boyfriend who is dead. Loved the story, the drama and the romance.
Each story in this series keeps blowing my expectations out of the water! I absolutely loved this second chance romance, Silas and Lis are phenomenal characters!
Another endearing and wonderful tale of love in the enchanting Jameson Valley. Salad and Felicity certainly beat around the bush, dancing around their feelings and letting doubts and fears plague them instead of being open a d honest with each other. But that is most certainly part of the charm! A little action and angst along with the love create another perfect tale in this spectacular series. I’m moving straight on to The Outpost!
I loved everything about this book. Silas and Felicity are a beautiful couple!
I was both excited and scared to read this book. I can’t say I liked Felicity in the first book, so I thought we will have a rocky start. But then Perry worked her magic and we became besties. And there’s Silas. *dreamy sigh* I’m like super in love with him.
The writing is amazing again, the story is easy to read. Next one!
