A widow in a mansion. Dark secrets. And poison, deadly poison.
After amateur detective Molly Sutton stumbles on a dead body, she wastes no time before eavesdropping and elbowing her way into conversations all over the French village of Castillac. But when Chief Dufort is about to clap handcuffs on the wrong man, she’s got to do more than chat to save him. Will she have the stuff—and the skill—to … the stuff—and the skill—to pull it off?
The Luckiest Woman Ever is the second book in the Molly Sutton Mystery series. (Though you learn more about Molly and her friends reading the books in order, the mysteries are standalone.) If expertly woven cozy mysteries, characters with depth, and detectives with a taste for French food are your thing, Nell Goddin’s tales of murder will be right up your alley.

A fun easy read with entertaining characters and a devious plot.
A fun easy to read who-done-it.
Loved it. Felt like I was in France! Vivid descriptions of sights and foods.
First book I read in this series. Entertaining and kept me guessing until the end. Unexpected
This is the second Holly Sutton book I have read and I really liked both. They kept me interested and thinking.
I like somethings just to take mind off everything and not require brain power.
had a great time following the personality based approaches these characters brought to the mix. the plot twists were well crafted and provided an entertaining read.
Wish more of the books offered contained “U.S. English” too many words cannot be found in dictionary, must be local to other countries
Moves a little slowly for me. Will probably not read others in series.
Enjoying this series very much!
I enjoy the characters and the window into a world of an ex-pat living in a small town in France. I enjoy also the mystery story–not bloody or gory but not sickly sweet either. Some romance, but not enough to overwhelm the story–a nice balance! I look forward to the next book!
I enjoyed reading this book.
Enjoyed this book!
Fast easy read. I didn’t really connect with any of the characters but did read it through to the end.
i’m halfway through my first book by this author. So far, I have found it to be very entertaining, easy to read and enjoyable! I love the quaint little French town and all it’s residents. It’s a good book to spend a lazy afternoon reading. I look forward to reading the other books in this series. Happy reading!
This was the first of Nell Goddin’s books that I read. I went on to read the entire series, to date. I like the characters, can clearly envision them and the village they reside in. I love reading books set in a location that I am familiar with whether here in the USA or Europe, location makes the story come alive.
Liked the book so well that I ordered the next in the series.
Great characters, very good, interesting story line and very well-written. This is the second in a series and is even better than the first book. I highly recommend it.
Love the setting. An easy read with some surprises and some humor.
An entertaining, interesting and novel mystery that introduced me to a new author. I’ll certainly read more of her books in the future.
