The Lucidites Series, Complete Boxed Set (The Lucidites #1-3) was a good read by Sarah Noffke. This boxed set consists of; Awoken, Stunned, and Revived. These books follow Roya Star, a sixteen year old girl who is about to get involved in the battle of her life. I really enjoyed reading these books and can’t wait to read more by Sarah Noffke.
Audiobook review: Teen/ young adult fantasy romance mystery. Plenty of twists and turns to keep one interested and entertained. Secrets are slowly unraveled as the team takes on outside forces. The narrator did a nice job!
This was a fascinating new series and universe of dream traveller’s created by Sarah. Start with these three books and read on from there as there are many societies of dream travellers within the world.
Awoken (The Lucidites #1). I got this book on May 29, 2016 and somehow never got around to reading it, but after reading Suspended I realized what a good author Sarah Noffke is. A well written, interesting read, with intriguing, well developed characters.
Stunned (The Lucidites #2), my twenty-eighth read from author Sarah Noffke. A well written, interesting read, with intriguing, well developed characters.
Revived (The Lucidites #3), my twenty-ninth read from author Sarah Noffke. A well written, interesting read, with intriguing, well developed characters. There’s something I really enjoy about a story with characters trying to survive in a world that’s moved on. I also love stories about time travel. But I don’t restrict myself to a particular genre. I’m a sucker for anything with memorable characters and a story that keeps me guessing. The recipe for my perfect novel? A dash of backstory, a pinch of character arc, and a whole heaping of plot that keeps me turning the page long after I should have called it a night. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 – July 24, 2018).
The Lucidites series is a very unique and exciting trilogy of books. The author creates a captivating world where the actions of Dream Travellers in their dream state not only effects them, but can also have effects on everyone else in the world as well. A mix of tech/sci-fi and fantasy these books meld the two genres together very well, with some great gadgets and characters with a mix of supernatural abilities. The story has some great twists and turns; it can shock you, have you laughing and then crying all within the same paragraph. At various points it broke my heart and in the next minute had me on the edge of my seat. The storyline itself is fascinating, the author weaves a complex tale that draws you in and leads you on an exciting, suspenseful, yet touching journey, that has a satisfying and complete end. I loved the development of the relationships and personalities of the various characters; from Roya’s strength, to Joseph’s humour, Chase’s psychopathic mind control and especially Ren’s dark sarcasm and caustic personality, they capture your imagination along with your heart. The narrator of the audiobook version does an excellent job of drawing you into the story, bringing it to life and giving the characters individual voices. The unique world and characters the author created puts this series, and her other books, in the must read category.
