Was not sure if I would like this book given the topic. I thought it was well done and believable.
I read it awhile ago. Would have t o read it again.
I first read this book when I was in my late teens. It is emotional and a page turner. Not only is there suspense leading up to catching who was the murderer but also a close look at the aftermath of what happens to those closest to the victim. In all it was a great read. The movie definitely didn’t do it justice.
Liked it, didn’t love it.
Such a lovely book about something so terrible. As a mother I found this so hard to read, but was unable to put it down. The fact that the dead child narrates the book helps you get through it. It is hard to explain, but it is almost as though she gives you permission not to grieve. I read this book a long time ago, but remember it was so …
This book made me cry. The story line was great, but the ending could have been different, but that’s my opinion. Overall this is a great read.
Started off well, but then was not particularly interesting. I’m surprised at what smash reviews the book got!
Not very original, however the characters were good.
This was a sad and beautiful novel.
A different type of murder mystery.
Haunting and ultimately beautiful
This book absolutely broke my heart and I couldn’t put it down.
A beautiful book that actually helped a little after the unexpected death of my brother. I recommend this book highly to anyone who has suffered a loss.
Very well written and I’m the kind that can not stop reading until
I have an answer to what happened. There are scary parts in this book.
I felt this was poorly written and I did not enjoy this book. However, I did have my daughter read the abduction scene in hopes it would scare her enough to be cautious.
Very good, an unusual thriller
The story builds very quickly and you can’t help but feel the anguish of the family. It draws you in and you find yourself working the case with the people you’re reading about until you know the murderer.
Somewhat haunting and disturbing but spiritual and redeeming.
Fascinating approach to a mystery.
A Sad But Lovely Novel.
