I really liked this book and learned a bit about Tasmania and Australia.
The characters are flawed and driven by some things they can’t control, so you know why they take the ways they do. It is not like you can’t see where plot will take you, but getting there makes for a good read. I would read other books by this author for sure.
I enjoyed this book very much. Hard to put down. Make a good movie? It read like one and I kept seeing the scenes in my head as I read.
Great story about historical Tasmania, a part of Australia that I have never been to. I liked the history about the unusual animals that live or lived there, and the characters that worked so hard to preserve these animals and the others that tried to destroy them. I enjoyed this book and another by the same author very much.
I loved this book. Great author!!
I like this series!
This should be made into a movie. Excellent characters filled with passion.
One of the better books I have read in awhile
Takes you places you have never been, and probably can never go—except through books.
Excellent read of twin boys lives after both parents die suddenly, with each twin handling the event differently. This tragic event shaped each twin life forever and created a hostility between them . Highly recommend reading as it span the Depression and World War II era,
Liked the history before and after world war 2. The story of the ecology and the preservation of land and animals.
Great story, good characters. Love this book.
This is a great story about two twin boys who lives go completely in different directions even though they grow up together. Great book.
We usually think of twins as being of like minds… that is what we usually see.
That is definitely not the case in this novel….
I loved it!
Kept my interest throughout. Cleverly written !
