Falling in Love for second time is almost impossible, especially after my wife’s sudden death. And falling for my daughter’s nanny is a big no-no.But my defense is crumbling and I think I am losing my heart too! When my daughter, Violet’s last nanny rejected the offer to relocate with us to Chicago, I had hardly any choice but to appoint a new nanny as soon as possible. And then Megan walked in like … possible.
And then Megan walked in like a blazing sun-ray in my otherwise dull and grey world, with her hot and sexy features and her charismatic persona.
Violet and Megan bonded pretty well which came as a big surprise for me.
And now I think my little girl is obsessed with her and so am I.

Well written story of a single dad mourning the loss of his wife while dealing with his child and a move to a new city. A lot of emotional drama and of course a new romance all add up to a very entertaining book
Milo is woken in the early hours with a phone call to say his wife was involved in an accident and has died. He is devastated by the loss of his first love, then the next day his friend who is a police officer brings him her personal effects and on her camera are pictures of her with another man and evidence of her cheating on him, he not only is devastated but it angry. It is just him and his six year old daughter Violet now.
Milo is given a promotion and his boss who is also his mentor has told him that they thought is was the best for him to have a new start and he will be moving to Chicago if he chooses to accept his promotion. Now his housekeeper who is also the nanny for Violet says she can’t go with them. But she asked her hairdresser Megan, if she would be interested in being Vi’s nanny.
Things move along, but Milo is having problems with Violet not talking to him and he is working harder and longer than he really needs to. Milo starts developing feelings for Megan and she returns his feelings, but as far as Milo is concerned, she is only the nanny.
Before they know it, they now have a sexual relationship, but Megan is still just the nanny. That’s what Milo keeps telling himself. Then Megan discovers that she is pregnant. She hears Milo telling his brother that Megan is just the nanny and no matter what, she will always be the nanny. So Megan leaves and goes back home. Milo realises that he really does love Megan and goes Home to get her. After he tells her that he loves her she tells him that she is pregnant. They live happily ever after.

Yet another compelling page turner…The blurb & previous reviewers have told the story so I won’t dwell on that. What I feel compelled to tell you is how it made me feel. It was pretty harsh that a virtual stranger had to show the hero how important it was to step up & be a father to his daughter. He found it difficult to let go of the past, even though it tormented him. Could this sweet young carer of his daughter help to raise him up to become an engaged caring Dad with the potential of a family again? I received an arc & this is my honest & voluntary review,
WOW! Emma has really written an emotional, heartbreaking, realistic story about Milo a man who’s lost the love of his life very suddenly and left to raise their 6 year old daughter. Milo isn’t sure just what to do he knows he needs help with his daughter and a old friend of the family Mrs. Barrymore has been filling in as part time nanny to his daughter Violet, but when his job decides to relocate him out of town she tells him she won’t be living with them.
Megan & Milo meet when he accidentally hits her while she’s crossing the street one morning on her way to the beauty shop she works at. Megan is also friends with Mrs. Barrymore because she does her hair and she has become fond of Violet because she is always with Mrs. Barrymore.Mrs. Barrymore knows that Megan is struggling and mentions that her boss is moving and will be needing a Nanny. Milo is shocked when Megan shows up at his front door, realizing that she is the girl he hit, but the even bigger shock comes when Mrs. Barrymore tells him that Megan is there for the job as Violet’s nanny.
Milo and Megan’s story is so touching. Megan is so mature and willing to teach Milo how to learn to love again, to trust and to realize that there is love after loss and heartbreak! Their chemistry is smoldering, but is it just sex? Will Milo ever be able to commit again?
All the characters are amazing and I loved Violet and what she brought to the book and how she taught Milo how to wake up before it was too late!
This was another awesome story from Emma Vikes. I gave it 4 1/2 stars not 5 due to the grammar errors.

It was very enjoyable and engaging story.
He became single father in single second when his wife was killed in car accident. What was even worse, some information that come out at this time.
Now he is not ready for new relationship and welcome move to different city. Maybe this can heals his broken heart.
She was definitely not in good place in her life. Last attempt, babysitter for little girl.
This is new beginning for both of them. Will they welcome changes and chance for love?

ONE IMPRESSIVE ADVENTURE!!!
Blazing! Emma seizes the dynamics, lays the foundation and stabilizes the form with this rough and tumble treat that spins so intricately and interweaves with such precision it blasts this baby to life flawlessly. Delivering well rounded scenario’s so intense you feel the pulse racing, electrifying hum running rampant through your viens. A spinning vortex chocked-full of astonishing events and a bevy of surprising mishaps welds this bad boy together sleek, shiny and tight. Pushing forward through the trials and tribulations with a slew of plot twists and turns your not sure which way is up. Witnessing the characters personalities transform and blend with smooth even grace. The chemistry sizzles as each layer is peeled back exposing a deep bond and amplifying affections that leave you breathless, craving more. The characters are realistic, intriguing and authentic with depth and qualities that add just enough flaws for diversity. The scenes are so vividly detailed and descriptive it gives the illusion you were right there in the middle of ground zero with them. Remarkable job Emma, thanks for sharing this bad boy with us.

What an emotional punch to the gut as Ms. Vikes has written a story that can be taken from a real-life experience. Milo is a driven man who has taken care to provide for his wife and daughter as he focused his life on work. Due to an accident, Milo’s wife is killed leaving him to raise his six-year-old daughter alone with the help of Mrs. Barrymore, a friend of his wife’s family. When his job asks him to relocate to help him get a new start, he needs to find another person to take care of Violet, his daughter. Megan is a twenty something hairdresser who literally bumps into Milo as he is on his way to work. It really is a small world as later in the day, she winds up with Violet in her chair along with Mrs. Barrymore. As Mrs. Barrymore knows Megan’s struggles, she offers her a solution to become the new nanny for Violet as she is unwilling to relocate. The following day when Megan shows up for an interview, she is taken aback by Milo opening the door and he is shocked to find the woman he hit the day before show up at his house. Watching Milo and Megan work their way through this relationship is powerful. She is a strong woman who knows the value of family and doing what needs to be done to foster the relationships. With everything that Megan has been through, she still believes in love and does her best to rekindle those feelings in Milo. Is Milo capable of opening himself up again? This is one storyline with depth and complex characters that will pull on your heartstrings. It is a story of love, loss and the faith to move forward. I love, love, loved this book. It was a well written, enjoyable story. It gave me all the feels I would expect from a romance novel. It was definitely hot and steamy. It was a great start to a new series. I loved that they author worked it the other brothers without making it feel forced. You can tell that they love and care for each other and are a close family. I can’t wait to read the rest of their stories.
Milo first meets Megan when he almost runs her over with his car. After apologizing they both part ways and head off to their jobs. Little do they know it, but they’ll soon meet again. Milo receives a promotion which means a move to Chicago, but his current nanny won’t be going with them. His nanny suggests to Megan that taking the job as Violets nanny and the move to Chicago could be a great new start that Megan needs so she decides to take the job.
Milo and Megan are attracted to each other and eventually they give in to it, but Milo is scared to put a label on when he and Megan has and is continually denying (to his brothers) that he and Megan are even together. His wife’s death and finding out she was cheating on him really messed with him. Will he be able to tell Megan how he feels or lose her forever?

Milo receives news that his wife has past-away in an accident. He’s so devastated but later receives his wife belongings from the police. He see’s pictures of his wife with a man. Now he’s angry, devastated and has no trust but he has to think of his daughter, Violet.
His boss will move him to Chicago so now he has to pack up and find a new nanny because Mrs. Barrymore can’t move. Mrs. Barrymore will tell her hairdresser Megan about the job because Megan needs the money and she already has a close relationship with Violet since she comes with Mrs. Barrymore to the salon.
Milo was surprise to see Megan on his doorstep since he recognized her from the accident. Mrs. Barrymore tells him she’s there for the job.
Chemistry combustion between these two happen but Milo keeps saying Megan is just the nanny. Can Milo let go of the past and move on? Will he find it with Megan or will he lose her? Surprise are in store!
A heartwarming story

Milo’s wife died in a car crash and a secret affair was revealed to Milo. After a year of anger and grief, their daughter was distancing herself more and more from her dad. A career move to Chicago was just the thing Milo thought would help him forget some of his pain, but his nanny did not want to move with Milo and Violet. Violet was quite close to her nanny, and was sad that she wasn’t going with them. Megan walks into their lives, moves to Chicago with them and is hired as the nanny. Megan and Violet finally change Milo’s outlook on life and love. A very good read!!

This book is amazing! The journey of Milo and Megan is one filled with heartbreak, loss, love and second chances. Milo is broken when his wife is killed in a car accident while on a weekend away. When Milo finds out she wasn’t with her girlfriend like she said she was, he is shattered. Learning the truth of the secret his wife Rebecca kept from him causes him to swear off love for good. When Megan ends up as the new nanny for Milo’s daughter, Violet, Milo finds himself starting to develop feelings for her and starts to think about being in love again. But thoughts of Rebecca’s betrayal keep coming back to haunt him and even though he wants Megan, he can’t be what she wants him to be. This leads to Megan returning home after Milo refuses to admit his feelings and she overhears a conversation between him and his brother Leo. It takes his seven year old daughter Violet telling him to stop overthinking things and just tell Megan how he feels to get him to go back to get Megan and make her his again.

This is a new to me author, but I will definitely read more of her books. The storyline was fun to read and the characters were people I could see myself hanging out with. It was a little predictable – because you KNOW the single dad ends up with the nanny – but it was still a good book.
