A good solid story, great to read and realize the potential impact a stamp and letter has.
I enjoyed this book so much!!!! It was hard to put down. The story wrapped itself around me and didn’t let go. Excellent, excellent book!!
Inventive style of story telling that I read quickly to see the solution.!
This book kept me on my toes from the get go!
It was an interesting look at the life of the character and sad at the same time. I really enjoyed it.
Loved this book
Enjoyed this story.
Difficult to read (emotionally) if you have ever had to deal with aging parents and Dementia. Good book
I really enjoyed this tale of a letter and a family history, but the plot was just a tad trite and predictable. But the characters saved the book from being too trite. They were real people getting on with their real lives. The historical part set in Austria was better than the modern day part because of the finely detailed historical elements.
Loved this book and didn’t want it to end.
Beautifully written, made my heard soar and break at the same time
Loved it from the start. Informative and inspirational. Enjoyable.
Easy light read that was entertaining and inspiring. I enjoyed the characters and the story was both tragic and sweet.
THE LOST LETTER is a beautiful love story based around the insidious nature of the Holocaust.
Hitler, et al wanted to control every last item including stamps. That part of the story is true as are the facts concerning those who risked their lives to survive the Third Reich through the secret messages in stamps and further, in the falsification of papers/identities. Who knows how many lives were saved by these courageous engravers.
A very interesting and worthwhile read. Highly recommend for history buffs and those who love a beautiful romance story.
Unique story
Enjoyed reading it. Kept my attention!
This book holds the reader from beginning to the end. The was not at all as I expected super read
All Because of a Stamp
Because nothing is a coincidence, Kristoff applied for an apprenticeship which eventually leads him to saving lives of refugees. Engraving plates to create stamps is a list art with the digital world. After reading this, I’ll be sure to pay more attention.
When I finished The Letter, I bought The Secret. I enjoyed this one a lot.
This was a wonderful book and it caught my interest from the first couple of pages. It was extremely interesting as I never knew how the process of stamps were made and how they could actually leave a message with them and also forge papers in the process. Great history. Was interesting to learn of the resistance groups and of course, I also loved the human part of it with the lost letter and how the amazing ending.
