I got into this sequel far more than the original book, although from the copy I read, it’s obvious that it requires a little bit more editing work done.
This alternate retelling uses a broad range of ideas, perhaps even mixing up the mythology somewhat with that of Robin Hood and Maid Marian as much as the Arthurian. Nevertheless, it is done well enough that it was enjoyable, and still keeps enough of the Arthurian part of the legends that it’s possible to follow. Plus the characters were a bit more rounded in this book. I can’t wait to read further!
Final rating: – Really liked

A whole new look at Arthur, Guinevere, Lancelot and Camelot. I really liked the idea of Arthur as a normal person, not royalty from the beginning. It is still a legend in the making with action, suspense and a love story. I enjoyed the heck out of this book. I requested an advanced reader copy from Booksprout and am under no obligation to leave this review.
Looking for a lost King in today’s world? All the while trying to help him too? Cool, can’t wait for the next one in the series.
