I loved reading The Lord’s Dangerous Obsession
It has romance, mystery and secrets.
The first character.. David Harrison finds himself in hot water when he is accused for murder. With all the evidence pointing to him, he must remain uncaught to prove his innocence.
The second character Arabella Powell works as a maid at the Derbyshire estate feeling safe and secure. But she has a secret that is well hidden comes to haunt her.
Does Arabella reveal her love to David and why she fled? Is David found guilty for his crime? For those answers you need to read The Lord’s Dangerous Obsession.
Wow, What a story! Ella Edon combined mystery, drama, romance, murder, and mayhem to create an outstanding story. When David Harrison is framed for the death of Simpson, a money lender, he flees to the country to hide. There he finds Arabella Powell and her daughter Katherine, who fled there to keep her daughter hidden from the Harrison family. Arabella was David’s one true love and they resume their love affair in the midst of someone trying to kill David. This is not a simple story as the author included many additional characters to help build the story. There is much intrigue and plotting to go along with the secrets. Overall it is a very good book and one you can’t put down.
Nonstop action, plenty of mystery, tension and suspense, second chance, rivalry, betrayal, murder, shame, stubbornness, loyalty and love. H and h meet as young people fall in love and one day poof the h and her whole family disappear. Almost a decade later the H finds himself accused of a murder he did not commit. His father and his friends bid him come to them in the country and lay low while they figure out who is trying to frame him for murder. When he arrives, he thinks his eyes deceive him? He sees h for the first time in years and will get answers as to why she left him. This is a complex story of strange clues, mysterious deaths and a villain closer to the family than they think. The web of lies begins to unravel and the h is in mortal danger. I enjoyed this story so much I will read it again. The characters were fascinating. Different and unique. The h at times I wanted to take my elbow and dig into her side to make her get her head out of her @ss. She was so set on going against what she truly felt and go by what she perceived to believe. She was so stuck in her own head that she infuriated me. Thank goodness the H loved her so and would not let her get away from dealing with him or the truth. The H was a kind mild manner fellow who was always good to others no matter their station. His twin brother helps him get away from London to hide in the country where his father and their friends were. The villain was so unpredictable and seemed to always be one step ahead of the H. The H’s father and friends deduced it had to be someone close to them. But who would betray them? You will be shocked when you find out who it was and the lengths the villain went through to throw everyone off their trail. An excellent story.
Great story and great characters lots of twists in the tale I loved it
I encourage anyone to read the first book in the series before this one. A lot of things will make more sense and it will be a more satisfying experience. This is more of a suspenseful mystery than a romance, with plenty of suspects. It has some steamy moments, and while I enjoy them, the author uses some terms that I find crass. My opinion only of course. The book also needs additional editing. It’s a great storyline with a wonderful cast of characters, but it needs to be polished to be considered 5-Star.
On a personal note, I’m sad that the author has opted to join others in the practice of manipulating readers into giving their email address to read the entire story. It’s not right.
