Over the course of their scheme, Ella and Peter end up learning far more about themselves and one another than they could have possibly dreamt. And as their desire to make their initial plan succeed fades, will they be brave enough to face the truth and take the leap to real love?

Lady Ella Chesterton was in love Frederick Braxton. Only Frederick was in love with her older sister Tatiana and asks her to marry him and she said yes. Lord Peter Holloway was in love with Tatiana. Ella and Peter decided to try and show Frederick and Tatiana that they weren’t right for each other. But everything they did backfired on them and Ella finally decided that Tatiana should marry Frederick. Peter was coming to tell Tatiana that he loved her Ella got to him first and told him what she had decided and that he should just leave it all alone and let them get married. Ella and Peter were falling in love with each other but didn’t realize it. They both thought that the other one loved one of the parties getting married. To find out if they ever got together you have to read the book. It’s a good book…
I think that this is the a really idiotic plot. The story is well written, but the love these two develop for each other is kind of weird. Social Butterflies do not fall in love with Bookworms. Ella is dumb for a bookworm. She could have lured Fredrick away into the library for hours; instead of whining to Peter. Peter could have whirled her away on the dance floor and escorted her around the room away from her fiance. So the idiocy of their plan was bound to fail when they didn’t take steps to keep the other apart from each other.
I love the way Abigail Agar writes. She writes with heart and soul. The overall story of opposites attract is overwhelmingly detailed in this story. I liked the characters Tatiana, and her younger sister Ella; Frederick and his cousin Peter. Although with Ella there was something about her character that did not jive with me but I can’t put my finger on it. Other than that, this is a lovely story of infatuation verses true love and the disabuse of the notion that like people should stay with like people. The extended epilogue was the icing on the cake. I truly enjoyed reading this book and look forward to Abigail’s next one.
