Broken. Shattered. Destroyed. Healing seems impossible. Moving on… I’ve pushed everyone out of my life, including my best friend, Linc. Now he’s back and he won’t leave without a fight. He’s tearing down my walls and forcing me to face what I’ve kept buried for so long. Because of him, I feel like I can finally breathe again, and there’s a sliver of hope weaving its way into my heart.
Will it be enough to save me from the darkness that threatens to drown me?
Love isn’t always easy.
But it’s always worth it.
Author’s note: The Long Way Home is a new edition of the previously published book titled Sylvie. With the exception of a new cover, blurb, title, and added bonus material all other content remains the same.

Read the brothers in blue series by author when I came across this book. I thought this book was a step up . Masterful story telling.
Firstly I would like to say how disgusted I am that this is my first K Langston book and I just really hating on myself, bad news for her is now I will be staking all her books lol, but at the same time I am glad it is my first because it was such a beautiful story and it will be one of my top books.
I do love books about music and I really loved the songs and words that K Langston put in this book the writing was so perfect and the songs were so beautiful that I just loved every single word even when Sylvie was writing in her journal they were so meaningful and you could just take do much from this.
Sylive is one tough girl/women, what she went through and how she got on with life was amazing. I loved her strength and how she tried to do the right thing even if it didn’t make her the happiest she was ok with being just happy I admired that.
Dean was a complicated character, you hated him, you loved him, you hated him but in the end with all the demons he was trying to fight and really try to live a happy life was hard to read about but I was happy towards the end when he wrote his note and really made peace with what he was dealing with.
Linc, of my goodness I just fell in love with him straight away, he was a singer, he was caring and he was Sylvies best friend, who would do anything for her and how he just looked out for her was something else. I really loved how he went out there and got his music out there and did what he loved but never forgot his best friend.
I also loved Caroline she was such a precious little character and really was a beautiful part of the story for me.
This story had it all, a little angst, twists and turns and really had you hooked and emotionally involved from the prologue.
If you’re looking for something that will make you feel the feels, cry, for everyone to get there happy ending. If you like books full of meanings and makes you really think and the author is a fantastic and beautiful writer then this is your book loved loved it.
5+++++++stars for this one.
This book… this book is simply amazing. After seeing teasers, I was so curious about this book and sweet baby Jesus, K. Langston delivered one hell of a story! It’s a breathtaking story of one woman’s journey through life, and how, with the love of an amazing man, she’s finally able to accept and learn from the choices she made in her past. This isn’t your typical coming of age story. It’s so much more. K. Langston does a fabulous job bringing the character’s emotions to life; so much so that I think anyone can relate to this book. It’s emotional and at times heartbreaking, but there’s also healing and happiness woven through this story. I loved Sylvie. She was resilient, kind, loving, but she was also young, and did her best in the situation she was in. I think all women can relate to that. And Linc…he’s so swoony! Go read this book ya’ll it’s amazing!
