It is a beautiful rom com of Beauty and the Beast. It is quirky and a great rendition of the take in modern times especially in such a short sweet book. It was a good read and I recommend it for a good story.

A Modern Fairy Tale
Who doesn’t love a modern fairy tale.
What I enjoyed about The Loner was that the heroine, Sky, had plenty of spunk and wasn’t afraid to speak up and go after what she wanted. Deserted by her boyfriend sets her up to meet what will be two new friends and the hero, Justin.
Justin was carrying scars both on the outside and the inside after he saved lives as a firefighter. He felt those scars caused people to see and treat him differently so he closed himself off from the world.
It took this couple some time to realize that they we made to be together and needed each other.
I loved how Terra’s writing transports you into the story where you are guaranteed a HEA.

An amazing well-written and emotionally deep romance that has a fairy tale concept! The storyline is well-developed, engaging, funny, and engaging. The characters are likeable; the chemistry between them is intense and off the charts; the sex scenes are steamy. This story will keep you captivated from beginning to end. Highly recommended!

Left at a truck stop but then the world opens up to better possibilities!!!
*** 4.5 Stars ***
I really liked this short steamy story with a bend on Beauty and the Beast. In The Loner the Beauty, Sky, is left at a truck stop store in Prescott, AZ, by her “boyfriend” after an argument with nothing but her wallet. Two lovely ladies, Lucy and Cora, recognize what happened and take her home with them to the mansion where they room. The Beast, Justin, own the mansion and is a recluse. He lives on the third floor only barely coming out or interacting with them.
Justin is immediately drawn to Sky not only physically but also in a different way with some type of connection. Sky and Justin’s first meeting is hilarious as you can just picture it. He has been scarred so he wears a hoodie whenever he leaves his floor, so Sky does not see him initially. Sky ends up staying a week before she can reach her father to come and get her. But before she and dad drive out of town she has a gut feeling that she needs to stay in Prescott and she follows it.
This is a really nice take on the original plot. You can picture the characters as you get to know them through their interactions and their inner thoughts. Both Sky and Justin have their own chapters so you are able to read their individual POV’s. All in all this is a lovely short story that made for a fun read. You just rooted for Sky to save Justin and Justin to save Sky with a HEA to tie it all up at the end.

This lady is on fire and wants us to melt with her… That’s the only explanation. Lol. She has this new series that you’ll love…
Terra Kelly started as a sweet author but now she’s like a lioness on the run. Lol
Her writing is hot as hell at the Kinect and I can guarantee you’ll melt…
The Loner is her latest release and it’s the six-book from the Man Card series.
This new book explores the lives of Sky and Justin.
Sky, like every girl, wanted to find her Prince Charming and seek their happily ever after until one day her boyfriend broke her heart and left her at a service station.
Justin just wants to be left alone. He’s an artist and every artist is a bit crazy… But Mirna danger crazy… He just wants peace and quiet until…
Like I knew it would be… Perfect. Another steamy story fill of what makes it a hit.
Perfect plot, very well written, super engaging… But I’m sad… Sad I tell y’all…
Wanna know why? Because it’s over. So freaking soon… I want more… More…
How to speak more about this book without spoiling? There is no way so I’m gonna shut up and demand you read it…
Perfect Terra Kelly… Another steamy one… Dayum woman…

I am actually glad that Sky got left at the gas station by her horrible boyfriend so she could meet Cora and Lucy. I am also really happy that Sky was able to help Justin feel more comfortable and work through the accident. Lucy and Cora were great side characters.

He had his reasons for hiding from the public. I think he was embarrassed and ashamed of how he looked after the fire. It was his own mental block that he needed to deal with. It took a small miracle for him to see that everyone has scars, inside and out. Accept them and do your best to be happy. He chose to be happy.

Sky and Justin’s story was a delight to read. I love Beauty and the Beast and I think Mrs. Kelly did a wonderful job retailing it. If you’re in the mood for a short, fun and heartwarming read that gives you the warm and fuzzies then this may be the book for you. (4.5)
This quick take on Beauty and the Beast was well written and has wonderful characters. Sky was going on a hiking trip with her boyfriend. They get into a fight and he leaves her stranded with no phone or any of her belongings. Two women come to her rescue and take her back to their place. Justin was a firefighter until he was severely injured saving a woman. He lives with two female roommates but stays on the third floor. Sky and Justin have sizzling chemistry and the way she helps him overcome his insecurities is touching. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
The Loner is a little different from Terra Kelly’s normal Man Card series books. This book is based on the modern day fairy tale of The Beauty and the Beast. I enjoyed reading Sky and Justin’s story and I look forward to reading the rest of the books in this series. I love how the characters that we’ve already met are in some of the other books. If you’re looking for a quick read, this is perfect.
I enjoyed reading this. Justin is a sort of recluse after separating himself from the world after an accident and doesn’t socialize. That all changes when Sky shows up out of nowhere. I love when fate steps in and the characters realize there was a reason this person came into your life. The story is short, sweet, and hot. I loved Sky and Justin’s connection and that Sky followed her gut. This is also a modern-day fairy tale of Beauty and the Beast and loved how the characters were all connected.

The Loner is a very short story. I enjoyed this story for what it is. It is a simple, quick read with two likable main characters. This story does have some flaws. There is a storyline about Sky’s ex-boyfriend that is never finished. There is Justin’s backstory about how and why he ended up living on the 3rd floor of the big house. I wasn’t super annoyed with the shortcomings but I thought it was worth mentioning. If you are looking for a story that can work as a palette cleanser, this is a really good option!
A short story that reads like a modern-day fairy tale. It was an entertaining story with wonderful characters. The story handles the situation of disfigurement with care.
The Man Card Series Continues to Deliver.
This man card series, book six story is a quick modern take on Beauty and the Beast. This one gives us some of the supporting characters in the story that most authors skip over. I love that the author, Terra Kelly was ingenious enough to give the storyline that much goodness in just eleven chapters.
I’m definitely recommending this book for your reading enjoyment and pleasure. Peace.

She was left at a truck stop by her boyfriend. A kind lady And her best friend see it happen and together they take her home. They have a male roommate who is initially not pleased. What starts off as an awkward situation soon morphs into something else.
This contemporary romantic comedy is part of The Man Card series, which is a collection of short, steamy, romantic stories that pull at your heart strings. This one is a modern, adult version of Beauty and the Beast. The characters are delightful, full of personality and engage you right away into their story, making you want to find out how they end up. The narrative and dialogue is great. The hot steamy scene fits well into the storyline. The storyline itself is smooth and flows along quickly, filled with emotional drama, surprises and both touching romantic moments and steamy ones. The emotional drama is the result of the character’s past experiences and their attempts to overcome their insecurities and fears. I liked the fact that there is instant chemistry between the two main characters and how they treat each other. If you like heartwarming contemporary romances, with some heat, that you can read in an evening, then you will enjoy this book.
