A writer has blamed the sheriff for the death of her fiancé until she finds out she was wrong and has to apologize for her actions
A tender story about a woman on a vendetta only to discover facts that force her to question her life. Well written with strong characters. A happy for now ending. Sexual situations, no foul language. Well worth reading.
Very good story.
Absolutely loved this book and highly recommend.
Really enjoyed this book.
loved it great story. would read more of hers
Great read
To go from hating a guy to seeing that is isn’t all bad is Lily’s problem. She blames Shane, the police chief, for her finance dying. But things take take to prove all the answers .
The on/ off love- hate relationship was good book. I enjoyed reading it.
Love Justine Davis’ books. Once I finished this one, I immediately ordered others in this series.
I felt like I was right there with the characters, and I loved meeting the Highwater family! I can’t wait to read more!
Sheriff Shane is one admirable officer but he can not seem to impress reporter Liliana, mainly because she holds him responsible for the death of her fiance. He helps to to acknowledge the truth of her fiance’s death. Love comes with her admiration for his innate integrity. It is a good story.
good read
Good, sweet read.
I couldn’t decide whether to give this 3 or 4 stars. It seems unrealistic the Shane would be able to reveal evidence to Liliana even though there was not going to be a trial. When he does she realizes that her fiance was guilty of the crimes he was charged with and she in instantly in love with Shane.
I started this book last night and finished it today. I enjoyed all the characters and the small town setting where everyone knows everyone else. I look forward to reading future books in this series.
A relaxing afternoon read. An interesting storyline with wonderful characters.
Loved it
Would have given this book five stars, but Liliana’s angst carries on just too long to be believable.
it was a good read, enjoyed it
How unusual and wonderful to have a novel featuring a male protagonist who is an absolutely decent human being in every regard. LOVED him, enjoyed the book!
