Have you heard the rumor around campus about the locker room?If you haven’t, let me enlighten you: Legend has it if you bring a girl into the sacred after-game domain of the baseball locker room, it will end with a walk down the aisle. One rowdy and naked encounter against the lockers with the girl of your dreams will make her your wife. Translation: baseball players are stupidly superstitious … stupidly superstitious and believe the locker room has magical powers.
But not all baseball players are superstitious, me included.
So when the girl I’ve fallen for brushes me off, I start to question if I need to switch my way of thinking. Maybe it’s time I finally hand out a coveted invitation to the locker room.
The only question is, will she accept?

A RomCom from the queen of them! Add sports and lots of swooning, slow burn and a happily-hottily ever after! Meghan Quinn put sit all together for another amazing laugh-out-loud love story! :
I loved this book, I got about 70% in and then I was like NO WAY, seriously, really good, with her amazing humor and awesome dialogue.
Rumor on the street is, the best romps take place in the Brentwood Baseball locker room. But there’s an unspoken rule to all players. You don’t invite one-night stands; you invite someone you plan on keeping forever.
Sports Romance with all the SWOON
Slow Burn with an EXTREMELY hot end
Romantic Comedy that will melt your heart
Yes, yes, yes!! The book was exactly what I needed with such a meet cute encounter bringing me back to the style of Meghan’s writing that I absolutely love and crave! Hilariously witty with a slow burn-ish feel, The Locker Room is sweet and more than sexy!
“I’m going, just trying to get as far away from Knox Gentry as possible. He’s obnoxious, opinionated, and very much the typical jock. He called Jane and Lizzie harlots. There will be no friendship between Mr. Gentry and me. Mark my words.”
I could not get enough of Knox Gentry y’all… He was one fine specimen which equates to the perfect book boyfriend #sigh. From page one this book consumed me and I laughed my butt off throughout its entirety. I adored Emory’s quirky, sarcastic, and sassy side. Wronged by the man she spent six years with, Emory is very guarded. However, meeting Knox changes her for the better and reading through the pages you really get to witness this.
Starting off as friends, Emory and Knox’s relationship grows with time. Their chemistry is off the charts, their banter will make you swoon, and just when you think all is dandy–Meghan goes and hits you right in the FEELS! My mind was reeling “what’s happening!?” But this turning point was necessary for any further development of their relationship.
“Not a problem, but you could have asked for help if you were lost. Slapping me with a map is an aggressive tactic, effective, but aggressive.”
The Locker Room was addicting in the best kind of way! With loveable secondary characters this book was such a breath of fresh air! I’m now hoping some of them get their very own books. So, if you love swoony, funny, and sexy college romance books with that added bonus of sports threw in the mix, then trust me, this one is just for you!!
“Brentwood is the breeding ground for baseball players, it’s why they have the nicest locker room. It’s why it’s the most suggestive place to be, because if you’re lucky enough to get an invite, then there is marriage in your future.”
I scoff. “Oh please. I highly doubt any girl who goes to the locker room to have relations is marriage material.”
Dottie and Lindsay exchange glances. And almost on a whisper, Dottie says, “Every girl who’s gone into the locker room has been married to that player within five years.”

Knox Gentry has one invitation to the exclusive locker room and he knows exactly who he wants to ask. The only thing is, will she actually accept?
The Locker Room is a sports romance, standalone and a feel good story. Sports romances have never really been my thing but Meghan Quinn has written more than a few books in this genre and I pretty much love everything that she has written. Does that mean I love “sports romances”? She certainly is changing my mind on this genre!
Meghan Quinn hit the ball out of the park with The Locker Room! (yes, this is a baseball sports theme book) I couldn’t get enough and didn’t want this book to end.
I fell in love with this mama’s boy, Knox Gentry. Emory “Em” Ealson sacrifices her love for him. This couple made me laugh and cry and I wanted to throw my Kindle at the same time. I absolutely loved reading The Locker Room!
I loved the connection that Em and Knox have and the bet they made that would make winners or losers out of each of them. And, as I always say if you haven’t discovered Meghan Quinn then you need to. 5 + stars
***4.5 Stars***
This was a funny, sweet, heartbreaking, swoon worthy and eye roll inducing ride with an entire cast of characters I was sad to say goodbye to when there were no more words to read.
I loved Knox and Emory. Knox is a good guy. He’s hard working, honest, and has this sweet and silly sort of charm that makes it easy to like him. He isn’t perfect, there were a couple things he did that had me rolling my eyes, but his sincerity and honesty made it easy to forgive him his faults. Emory is that mix of confident and insecure that keeps you on your toes because you never know which way she’ll go in any situation. But her wit, honesty and sassyness, when it came out to play, made it easy to like her.
Knox and Emory’s journey was all kinds of slow burn fun/frustrating (fun-strating??) goodness. I loved their bantering and just how intune they were with each other from the beginning. Though, their first collision is definitely one for the books. I won’t deny that I wanted them to move faster than they did, but I could help but understand and even agree with the reasons behind the baby steps they were taking. As for that huge roadblock in their journey…what went down isn’t one of my favorite things, but I do understand the reason behind it…so I rolled with it and though I could have used a little more time in the reconciliation part of their journey, I cannot deny that I am more than satisfied with where they were at in the end.
This was a great read, even with the moments I could have done without *smirk*. I loved how real the characters, all the characters, felt and the situations they found themselves in because it made it easy to connect with all that was going on with them. Now, as you know, I LOVE secondary/supporting characters and this one has some great ones. Dottie, Lindsay, Carson, Holt and Cora were amazing, I loved Knox’s mom and even Mrs. Flower had her own special sort of charm. I wanted to hang out with them as much, or at times more than, Knox and Emory and am crossing my toes that this isn’t the last time we’ll see them. So if you love slow burn romances with more humor than angst, then this is a must read for you!

“Darcy is a tool. Want a real hero? You know where to find me.” Cocky ass.
I’ve only read a few Meghan Quinn books but it suffices to say that Meghan is one author that dishes out some of the best RomComs that are not only well-plotted but also have that right amount of angst and emotions and laughs, that keeps it firmly in that category.
To say I loved the heck out of this book is an understatement. Emory Ealson moves across the country as a junior in college after ending a six-year relationship and on her first day, she hits Knox Gentry… with a map… on his face… I might or might not have snort-cackled at his moment. Hard.
Knox Gentry… Ladies, this is boy/man is what dreams are made of. God! I loved this guy so much! He takes as good as he dishes out. He is full of himself, and not in the way that is obnoxious even for a second, he makes you laugh, his smile is the cheesy kind where you end up smiling as well, he is kind, he is patient and understanding — basically, everything we hope our significant other to be but isn’t.
UGH! Find me a guy like this in real life. Please! (Can you tell I have a crush? No? Good.)
“You’re the girl I’ve been looking for that’s better than anything I could dream up. You’re it for me, Em. You’re it.” He leans in, his lips inches from mine. “What do you say, be my roommate?”
The texts, the banter, the constant back and forth, the bets, the chemistry, basically everything related to Emory and Knox and their relationship had me gushing my heart out!
This book has everything and is a complete package and while I might not be a huge fan of their separation period, I enjoyed the texts that covered that timeline.
The Locker Room is the perfect read for anyone who is looking for a fun sports romance that is guaranteed to make you laugh, smile and go “aww” throughout the book.
4 Stars!
O-M-G!!!!
First of all I am so in love with Knox Gentry. I will not be able to fully put into words how I feel about him.
He’s a true southern gentlemen and truly knew how to woo Emery. Yea she fought her feelings the entire time. BUT thankfully she was able to give in.
I also loved what a selfless person Emery is. She truly loved Knox.
THIS. IS. A. MUST READ!!!!
Another great book by Quinn. Sweet and heartfelt with a few laughs thrown in. A perfect summer read!

OH HECK YES!! You’re going to freaking love it!
I liked this take on the cocky college athlete meets studious girl whose heart has been broken in the past genre. In this case the college athlete is Knox, who is the number one baseball draft pick at the top college for baseball stars. Most baseball stars that may have been drafted straight out of high school, instead go to Brentwood to learn from Coach Disik and are better off for it and end up being drafted higher after their Junior year.
Knox meets transfer student Emory at the beginning of Junior year and wants to date her immediately but she is gun shy after being cheated on and mistreated by her ex in California. It takes him a while to win her over and when he finally gets her to agree to go out with him, he bets her and his friends that he can outlast her in how long they can go without having sex.
They both have pretty great control but end up blurring the lines with a lot of very hot touching, kissing, dry humping and eventually wet humping. It gets pretty steamy. The book is very good. Though it gets emotional in parts and there are parts I am not sure I like so much. But we don’t always like every scene in a book we like, and that is ok. I liked the side characters, especially his friends who were pretty funny and his Mother who was awesome.
Ever have that pure bliss feeling as you’re reading a book? The feeling that keeps you totally immersed in the story, wishing you knew the characters in real life, loving the development of the romance blooming between them. That’s the swoon factor, right? Lots of sighs. And absolute enjoyment.
This is exactly how I felt while reading The Locker Room. I absolutely adored Knox and Emory’s story from their drunk meet-cute to the very last word. Sure, I got frustrated with them both at times, but I had faith in their happily ever after.
It wasn’t an easily achieved HEA though—much like it wasn’t easy for Knox to convince Emory to date him in the first place. But, man, was it worth it. Worth it through the fun, snark, sexy times, heartbreak, and love.
I’m not going to give any more away—you need to experience all the feels for yourself. Just note, I loved it. More than loved it. And I’m really hoping for more from some of the side characters!
Knox made this book…I loved Emory’s witty sense of humor but did not connect with her on any other level.
I understand being hurt but Knox had proven himself over and over.
I think I loved the book until Chapter 28.

Knox is mine. I just had to start this off by putting it out there.
Meghan Quinn has written many a book boyfriend for me and every time I don’t think she can top the last, but holy crap did I love me some Knox Gentry. He was charming and funny and such a perfect compliment to Emory that my heart actually felt broken for part of this book.
Emory was also amazing. Super sassy, making our boy Knox work for it. But it was his way he never gave up that made me love him all the more.
This book was totally worth the book hangover I had from it and makes me want to do a rhythmic clap in cheer. 1-click this bad boy immediately.
5 “Oreo” Stars
Oh Knox Gentry you have stolen my heart and I’m not even sorry lol. I absolutely adore Meghan Quinn and her sense of humor. Her romantic comedies are always my favorite, but what I love most about her stories is there is always deep seated emotions that lie underneath that make her characters that much more lovable.
Knox and Emory meet in the most unconventional of ways and they just grow from there. These two have so much chemistry, I just loved them. Emory is determined to take things slow and Knox is determined to go as slow as she needs because he knows she’s the one.
The Locker Room is one of my favorite Meghan Quinn books to date. It’s funny, heartwarming, and everything I love in a romantic comedy. Even the secondary characters are great, including Mama G. I ADORED her! #Oneclick this one today and meet the deliciousness that is Knox Gentry.
Angela – Alphas Do It Better Book Blog
If there ever was an example of the perfect man, it would be Knox Gentry. He is handsome, sexy, has chiseled abs, mischievous blue eyes and plays America’s favorite sport: baseball. He is also the perfect boyfriend; thoughtful, caring, devoted and patient. If he is so perfect, then why does Emory keep him at arm’s length for what seems like forever? Granted, she was hurt by a past boyfriend and wanted to take it slow, so it was understandable that she chose to be cautious. The last thing she wanted was a broken heart because it would cause her too much pain.
Knox knew Emory was special the first time they met when he caught her campus map which had blown out of her hand. She was beautiful, smart, feisty and he really liked her short skirts. He appreciated the fact that she needed to concentrate on her studies, which resulted in him being creative and a little pushy when it came to arranging their dates. They really weren’t dating but he found that he missed her on the days when he didn’t see her and it was hard not to think about her. Their friendship was important to him and it was the perfect foundation with which to build a romantic connection. Knox was certain Emory was the woman he wanted to share his life with and as they got closer he really thought they would be together forever. She would sit in the stands at his baseball games and he would help and support her while she continued with her studies. All of his hopes and dreams for the future had been answered. What could possibly go wrong?
What a great read The Locker Room was; I was hooked from the first chapter to the last and couldn’t put this book down; I was totally immersed in the story that Meghan Quinn wove.
Knox Gentry was such a charismatic hero that I couldn’t help but fall for him. I fell hard and fast, he is totally swoon worthy. When he meets Emory, he is determined to make her his, despite the fact that Em is shy and not looking for romance.
I really liked Em and her roommates Lindsay and Dottie, they are women I would be happy to call friends. Em is emotionally broken thanks to an ex who really messed with her her head and when she opened up about her past, I just wanted to hug her.
The chemistry between Knox and Em was electrifying and you could almost feel it as you were reading. I loved the camaraderie between Knox, Holt and Carson and their banter was humorous. I loved Knox’s mum Mama G, she was a great character.
The Locker Room is not all sweetness and light, it was at times an emotional roller coaster of a read which I happily recommend.
Highly emotional and a quick page turner proves once again that there is nothing better than combining baseball and romance. The romance between Emory and Knox takes the reader on a wild ride. Filled with push and pull, ups and downs, angst and drama this book will be one you will not be able to put down. There were parts that made me laugh out loud and others that had me wiping tears from my cheeks. I cannot wait for the other teammates to find their HEA. An absolute must read!!
I absolutely loved this story! I laughed, I cried, I was (figuratively) biting my nails….it was great. Knox is a sweetheart that is too good to be real, but he at least shows some flaws! His love for Emory is what she needs to pull herself back together after her prior relationship. And, Emory is just what he needs…someone who is selfless and has a kind heart. Their relationship is a rollercoaster ride! I read this book as part of the Ultimate Sports Romance Box Set but couldn’t find it, so I am choosing to leave my review here.
