Daisy Turner has worked at Buchanan’s Family Jewellers since the day she finally escaped her troubled home. With a unique talent for matching the perfect piece of jewellery to any romantic milestone, she painstakingly polishes each stunning creation every morning and safely locks them away each night, longing for the day she’ll have a love story to call her own… changes one day in December when the owner announces she is retiring. She will leave the shop to whichever of her three sons creates the perfect piece of Christmas jewellery for Daisy.
In danger of losing the job that once saved her, Daisy is catapulted out of her comfort zone as each of the brothers sweeps her off her feet to find out what her heart truly desires. Between ice-skating, starlight shopping and cosy candle-lit dinners, it’s only handsome and guarded youngest brother Kit who really seems to be listening. Because Daisy has a secret. Every night, when the shop closes, she lays out her tools in neat rows and creates sparkling designs of her own…
As Christmas Day approaches, Daisy’s growing feelings for Kit fill her with a confidence she never knew she had. But as the brothers present their elaborate gemstone masterpieces, she’s in for the shock of her life… Was Kit using her to get ahead in the competition all along? Or has he truly worked out the one thing she has always longed for?
They say all good things come in small packages, but the best things don’t need wrapping at all…

Good book that was easy reading and says a lot for love found by two people who were loner type people.
An adorable, quirky and incredibly satisfying story of a young woman, unsure of herself and the world who is thrust into a competition between three brothers to see who will take over the family jewelry store she works at. Which is most definitely something she is very uncomfortable with! Kit, the youngest is someone she has worked with day in and day out die years, but never really spoken too. Bertie is the party animal that very occasionally makes and appearance and Lawrence is the oldest and a ruthless and single minded businessman. None of them really seem at all interested in it, not really, and she has no idea what is going to happen. They have until Christmas Eve to pick one item of jewelry that truly matches her, though she won’t be the one to pick it. Their mother will. It’s a magical town, with a cast of very lovable and interesting characters and Daisy is truly a very gifted and beautiful person. I loved it and enjoyed every minute of it. Thank you to the author for this amazing tale that I could not put down!
A seasonal read with a sweet, simple heroine and three privileged brothers vying for a coveted prize. The author, Emma Davis does a good job of showing the differences of personalities in the characters and how if you take the time to really learn about someone, you just might learn about yourself. Thank you to Netgalley, the author and Publisher, Bookouture for an ARC.
I voluntarily read this book and the review is my honest opinion.
(4.5 stars) – a lovely Christmas fairytale with a refreshingly original premise
Daisy is a sweet cinderella-flavored heroine who is sensitive, creative, and generally perceptive at reading people. She’s also suffering from a form of PTSD anxiety & insecurity that borders on OCD, and we eventually come to understand why.
Her life of routine is her comfort, and she doesn’t want to leave her comfort zone because she’s learned that doing so can hurt. Then her employer/friend puts Daisy in the middle of a distressing competition amongst her 3 sons to determine who will inherit the store.
In the process, Daisy learns more about the brothers and herself – and realizes some of her prejudices that have been interfering with her perception (& others that were right on the mark), she likewise learns about others’ perception of her.
There may be a little sadness & a little frustration, but happily there’s a lot of fun in Daisy’s journey of discovery. We’re given hints of where the story is going, but I wasn’t expecting the twist at the end which was absolutely delightful!
*Clean romance level – sweet kisses
*Religion – secular, but several dozen uses of God’s Name in vain, sadly, at least none of them to curse, but I do wish authors would be more considerate of their readers
*Language – about a dozen or two d*mns, handful of h*lls, one bs
I was expecting a different type of Christmas story.
However I did enjoy the story and the characters! I love the cover! The descriptions were very good too!
It’s a cute book! Thanks to Netgalley for the early copy
