Easy, entertaining reading with wonderful ideas and strategies to get yourself organized painlessly! Definitely worth reading!!
Very motivational to get one started on downsizing, that is, where to to start first to do it most efficiently.
Easy read. Not all suggestions seem doable long term but I did take away some gems that I have put into practice. Worthwhile read.
It was a very fast read and I gleaned a better way of organization. Some ideas are just too far-fetched and not very do-able. But overall I liked the book.
Good book in that it got me to act on clearing the clutter, something I’ve been wanting to do for so long. She also mentioned it’s not uncommon to lose weight once you have gotten rid of stuff. It actually is true. Worthwhile, simple but effective book.
Great! Helped me clean up my house and feel lighter and free.
A bit over the top in places but overall a good plan for cleaning out clutter. One of the better books on the subject.
It actually DID begin to change my life
Great strategy for overhauling your house. Took me about 4 months but her method is excellent.
There are some great tips in this book. Other tips are unrealistic (for me, in my life, in my opinion—such as taking every book I own and putting them on the floor and choosing just a few to keep) but it is a great book for getting one to think about possessions and what we really need to keep.
She is quite obsessive, and her techniques are quite effective.
Wish I would have read this years ago!! Very enlightening! A must read for everyone!!
It prompted me to make changes in my life, and I’m happy with the result.
I liked this book for ideas on how to simplify, declutter, and redo your home or spaces in your home. I have held on to the hard copy to refer back to chapters. I found it inspiring in some ways, and challenging in others.
I enjoyed the book because I too started tidying at a young age but did not know others needed help doing it! I have been tidying and cleaning homes for 22 years and I am so greatful for all of the new ideas I have learned to make some of my jobs a lot easier now!
I only wish some of the How To Ideas were illustrated in the book because some of them were a bit confusing to imagine. Other than that the book was very informative and I feel like re-tidying my home again!
I LOVE this book and the Kondo system! Great ideas and highly motivating! Must read
It emphasized that to tidy up, one must decide what to keep, NOT what to throw out. Items to keep must “spark joy”. EVERYTHING else, goes out; period!
Works.
It is really true. I spent a 2 week “staycation” decluttering and organizing and i feel like a new person
