From New York Times Bestseller Mimi Jean Pamfiloff comes a Horribly Sunny Mystery, The Librarian’s Vampire Assistant.NOBODY MESSES WITH HIS LIBRARIAN. . .Who killed Michael Vanderhorst’s maker? It’s a darn good question. But when the trail brings Michael to hellishly sunny Phoenix, Arizona, his biggest problem soon becomes a cute little librarian he can’t seem to stay away from. He’s never met a … to stay away from. He’s never met a bigger danger magnet! Even her book cart has it out for her. And is that the drug cartel following her around, too? “Dear God, woman! What have you gotten yourself into?”
Things go from bad to worse when local vampires won’t play nice.
Can this four-hundred-year-old vampire keep his librarian safe and himself out of hot water? Can he bring his maker’s killer to justice? Yesterday, he would’ve said yes. But yesterday, he didn’t have a strange connection with a librarian. Yesterday, people weren’t trying to kill her.

good story and I did much enjoy =reading it.
Interesting story..a bit slow and indulgent in some parts. Too easy to put down ti be really good
This author has a way with words! From the first page I was hooked. The writing in this quick read moves the story along, but does so without it feeling rushed or absent of detail. There is a little bit of a cliffhanger, but does not leave you feeling empty.
I’m sorry, I just couldn’t get into this book. I found the characters too cliche and the plot much of a stretch (which is saying a lot considering the subject matter.)
Love this book! I’m a librarian and it made it even more enjoyable!!
A silly bit of fun. A good light read.
enjoyed every minute, want to read more!!!! I’m hooked!!!!
I found this to be highly entertaining and read it in one sitting.
Other reviewer’s all seem to praise the author. Okay but since this was my first ATTEMPT to read her work, I don’t see why anyone would waste more than an hour TRYING to get into it. The narrator is stiff, self centered, and shallow. The librarian character seems to be a hot mess, and the storyline thinks it’s Sam Soade. No thanks. Gave it two chapter before I quit reading and deleted it from my reader and cloud.
Mimi Jean delivers with wonderful wit and humor with characters you become addicted to finding out what happens next. I laughed so hard my iPad bounced off my lap and nearly collided with the floor! Each book keeps you coming back for more.
this book was an unexpected treat, as i don’t normally read para romance, but this was so much more. its a murder mystery, hidden agenda’s and a girl up caught in the middle of this vampire world, and she seems clueless as to her surroundings. The more i read the more i grew to love Michael and lula. their banter was great only adding to the dynamic of the vampire household. Mr Nice was hilarious, i wont spoil it, but the library scene was a nice touch. so on to book 2, i cant wait to see if Michael and Miriam can take their platonic relationship a step further. we can only hope.
Loved the dynamic between Michael and Miriam and I can’t wait for book 4 (Mr Nice and I are contemplating kidnapping!)
A fun read. The characters are funny and entertaining. Love it!
I really loved this paranormal romance mystery , it was refreshing and funny! original as well because for once the vampire isn’t the boss -oki among vampires he is- the human girl is her boss in the normal one and poor vampire is only a librarian assistant so no high class job.
I particularly loved the fact that it was his choice. Miriam intrigues him and he wants to understand why especially since she isn’t a top model and more clumsy than he could have imagined adding the fact some are targetting her then his need to protect her jump into action with some consequences he wasn’t looking forward like a bond with an human. Michael is on the hunt to find his the one who killed his maker, not looking for love and he has zero experience with turning or the general rule with a bond between humans and vampire. The law he knows the how, consequences, effects he is only guessing since he had no interest in that for 400y.
I loved the fact that no matter how strong he is he still has to learn. he best part? He is a books lover!!
The secondary character like Lula are funny as well, she needs Michael as she is younger than him but she also understand him and second him the best she can even when she disapprove his decision. Some members of the council are more than funny as well.
The investigation is captivating, there is a lot of humour and action and a touch of romance : the perfect mix! I can’t wait to get my hands on book 2!
I really enjoyed this well written and somewhat original story and characters!! I look forward to reading more from Pamfiloff!! Actually on to book 2 of Immortal Matchmakers!!
I have a weakness for Mimi Jean’s books. She must write with crack or something else equally addictive. That’s how I feel about the Librarian’s Vampire Assistant. It was so addicting; I couldn’t put it down and now I’m craving more. There was mystery and intrigue, and surprisingly, very little romance. Told entirely through our Hero Michael’s point of view, it was refreshing and totally not what I expected.
A Witty and Twisted Vampire Story!
I really enjoyed this book.
I liked the wit, characters & lore of the story and it’s potential for a future romance!! The twisty mystery was gripping. It’s a heart felt story & overall, it’s a well rounded & fun read!
I can’t wait to download & start book #2

Absolutely amazing! I’ve already told all my friends about Mimi Jean’s writing and I can not recommend this book enough! I wasn’t able to put it down, I was hooked from the first sentence!
I devoured it. No shitting. I want to clone you for not writing faster, you sexy vixen of a book porn pimp. So in short…the book was awesome!
This is the first book I read by Mimi Jean Pamfiloff. The storyline was predictable and simple. Same with the characters. It has a humorous, light-hearted tone and kept me fairly entertained. Nothing that will stick in my mind for long but for the time being it’s an amusing read. A quick heads-up: this story ends with the words “to be continued”. Normally, I appreciate it when an author gives us a note about a cliffhanger. But as the story wasn’t hauntingly gripping, I don’t feel cut off or the need to follow up with a second book in this series. I’m not against it though.
