FREEBIE ALERT! Book #1 FREE thru JUNE! www.amazon.com/Librarians-Vampire-Assistant-Librarian-Book-ebook/dp/B079K8JLCZ/ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~New York Times Bestseller Mimi Jean Pamfiloff comes an uncomfortably hilarious Mystery with a heaping help of sexual frustration, THE LIBRARIAN’S VAMPIRE ASSISTANT, Book Three. (Yep! It’s a STAND-ALONE. But why not read them all because…fun!)FALLING IN LOVE WITH … because…fun!)
FALLING IN LOVE WITH YOUR BOSS JUST CAN’T GET MORE AWKWARD…Michael Vanderhorst is not your usual vampire. For starters, he works in a library, is in love with Miriam, his hot nerdy human boss who has no clue what he is, and he looks like a college student.)
In reality, Michael is an ancient deadly vampire, an ex-assassin, and is currently the de facto king of his kind ever since their ruling party disappeared. To where? He doesn’t know, but if he wants his life back, he’ll have to find out. (Mystery!) Especially because a civil war is brewing, and being king makes his librarian a mark for his enemies. (She is, after all, his biggest weakness.)
With a global uprising about to explode, Michael must give her the protection of his army. Only one problem: She must become his queen first. But every attempt he makes to tell her the truth is met with extreme hostility. “Vampires aren’t real. That’s crazy talk, Michael!” Clearly, the topic frightens her.)
With time running out and her life on the line, Michael is left with one option: Marry her. Without her knowing. )
Can he pull it off? And what will happen when the fight comes to their door?

Book three jumps right in where book two left off. For newcomers they might be a little lost when they first start the book but Michael’s narration plays well and he recaps in his own way while trying to figure out the mystery plot. It’s not a true cliffhanger at the end either, the big mystery is solved but she leaves it wide open for another book (one she must write as quickly as possible!!!!)
Mimi continues to write comical and zanie hijinks for Michael and the moment we have all been waiting for has finally happened. Mr. Nice is his usual 80’s goth band vampire self only this time he has developed a fascination with Miriam. Micheal not knowing who to trust has started to make unpredictable decision but it doesn’t seem to matter where ever he goes there are traders in the shadows.
Overall, Mimi once again takes us on quite a ride as the story continues and doesn’t seem to lose it’s momentum, from start to finish it’s non-stop vampire hijinks, double dealings, and incomprehensible lisping. Twists and turns, red herrings and misdirection make this vampire mystery one I didn’t even bother trying to guess because I knew I would be wrong. A fantastically funny and mysterious read, I loved it.
When I started reading I couldn’t put it down.Mimi Jean Pamfiloff is magnifysent and amazing writer.I cannot wait to read more of there books.Keep up the great work. You should definitely read this book. Can’t wait for the next book.
This is truly a great series by Mimi Jean Pamfiloff. The characters, humor, wit, and mysteries are well written and easy to read. You will be entertained from the first page clear up until the end. Mimi Jean does a great job setting up and solving the mystery within the pages of the book while providing lots of humor, banter, conflict, and love interests.
LVA3 gives you more insight into Michael’s and Miriam’s relationship and how they deal with their feelings while learning more and more about each other. Not only are these two learning about their feelings and lives, they are also thrown into a vampire mystery that keeps them, and the reader, guessing until they solve it in the end.
What’s not to love about an vampire is obsessed with his librarian. I mean this book like all of Mimi’s books kept me on the edge on my seat and laughing my butt off. With her amazing attention to detail and witty sense of humor there’s nothing not love about Michael and Miriam’s tale.
Michael is now king with all the vampire council (I mean literally all of them), kidnapped, him not knowing who trust, Miriam not ready to accept the concept of Vampires do exist, and how does he protect his Librarian? Marry her in secret……without her knowing…….and how to be good a husband to her………while trying figure out how to save the council and not be King anymore…….
It’s not a cliffhanger book that has all of Mimi Jean Pamfiloff’s amaziness. Can’t wait for the next book!!!!!
***Received this ARC in exchange for an honest review,*** GET THE BOOK!!!!!
In this installment, the mystery gets solved and the antics continue. Secrets are revealed about Miriam and their relationship takes a different turn in this book. Michael’s current mystery is solved in this book but there were a ton of twists that I did not see coming. I enjoyed the return of quirky Mr. Nice and the characters of the previous books of this series. The story had me hooked from the start as it did with the first two editions of this series and I would recommend this book and series to others.
This is the 3rd book in the series. You will need to read the other books in the series.
In this book we have our favorite vampire Michael, who is the King of the Phoenix territory. Michael is trying to protect Miriam but she is going to have to become the Queen. Can Michael marry her without her know that he’s a vampire?
Michael tells Miriam that he’s a vampire, and of course she doesn’t believe him. Miriam has a secret of her own. What will happen when Michael realizes who she really is?
Mr. Nice is back. He seems to have a thing for Miriam but is it just because he wants a real life ‘Fanged Love’ Romance? Michael is sure that attention from Mr. Nice is wrong. How can he keep one of the oldest vampires away without being rude?
I did receive a free ARC copy of this book. I am freely leaving a honest review.
The Librarian’s Vampire Assistant #3 is a hilarious supernatural mystery that will have you laughing throughout the book all while wondering who kidnapped the council and has decided to start a civil war? This book is a standalone although I do recommend the first 2 books in this series because they are just as entertaining!
Michael Vanderhorst, a 400 year-old vampire who looks like a college student, is back with his merry band of vampire misfits. This endearing vampire is embroiled in yet another mystery. It will take all of his wit, charm, and his 400 years of vast experience as an assassin, a barber, etc to solve it all while lusting after his librarian, Miriam.
True to this author’s other works, Mimi Jean Pamfiloff created an entraining storyline with a full cast of fun and delightful characters whose antics will leave you in stitches. Her LVA series falls more into the cozy mystery genre, but with a nice vampire flair and a smattering of romance thrown in. I love Michael in that he is sweet, albeit a bit goofy, charming, and lovingly clueless when it comes to his librarian. His sarcastic wit and the way the author portrays his thoughts will leave you laughing out loud.
The secondary characters really make the book as well. I love just how quirky and clumsy Miriam is and how feisty Michael’s side kick Lula is. Mr. Nice. Oh what can I tell you about that ancient, wacky, and slightly disturbing vampire other than he is something else entirely. In addition to all of the humor, I really enjoyed the mystery in this book with its plot twists and wondering who exactly Michael can trust. There were a few little things that I didn’t see coming and I liked watching Michael trying to work things out with his Miriam. The Librarian’s Vampire Assistant # 3 is a fast-paced mystery/comedy with fun characters and an entertaining storyline. If you liked the previous books in this series or any of this author’s other works, then you will definitely enjoy this book.
I love the fact that the story never ends and that you are left wanting to know what is going to happen next. It is hard to not turn the page to know if the team will be safe or what their next course of action will be. The sexy and sultry scenes keep you yearning for more .
This was a great read!! I enjoyed this new twist on vampires. I couldn’t put the book down!
The Librarian’s Assistant, Michael, keeps getting more and more compelling. With the end of the last book, there are mysteries still out there to figure out that you don’t miss a beat at the beginning of this story.
Mimi Jean keeps this story going strong with an interesting storyline and characters. A complete page turner until the end and even then, I was left wanting more.
Michael and Miriam are back! I feel so invested in their story by now, I was so happy to see that their romance was finally happening.
Quick reminder, at the end of Book #2, Michael has been made King of the Vampires since they are planning on going to war. He makes immediate plans to protect his sweet librarian, Miriam.
Book #3 continues with the hilarious inner monologues, OTT yet not annoyingly quirky events and characters, and we get the addition of some sweet romance.
FINALLY! MICHAEL AND MIRIAM 4EVA!
No spoilers, but I will say that we get answers to quite a few questions, yet more are raised. Not a cliffhanger, per se, but more of a story continuation to come. Can’t wait to find out what happens next with Michael and his librarian.
Michael and Miriam continue their adventures in this third book in the series. He’s the King of Vampires and she’s a librarian, who saw this love story coming? I have to say Mr. Nice steals the show (and I’m loving his wardrobe!).
Full of love, laughs, drama and excitement!!!
I simply can’t wait until the next book comes out! I am SO in love with this series!
Let me just start by saying I can’t get enough of Mimi Jean’s books. The Librarian’s Vampire Assistant #3 is a mystery and just as hilarious as the rest of her books. Michael is the new Vampire King and is our trying to save the world and see who stole the council as well as keep his Librarian, Miriam safe even from herself. She is an adorable/accident prone, frumpy dressing Librarian. Does Michael solve the mystery and get his librarian? Do Michael and Miriam have their Fanged Love Wedding that Mr. Nice is insisting they have? Do we ever get to see what’s in Miriam’s Vault? This was a fast paced book that keeps you on your toes and in stitches all at the same time.
How can a simple vampire (okay, not so simple) convince his employer that he’s vampire? His life has gotten so complicated. He can’t even get rid of the toy electric car he’s had for a month and get a decent sized SUV. If he can’t rent a decent sized car, how can he protect his librarian?
How on earth can a clumsy librarian deal with her strange assistant? Why he thinks he’s a vampire. Yes, he’s been there for her when she has been in trouble, but he’s possibly batshit crazy.
It’s funny, infuriatingly laugh out loud book. Enjoy the ride.
If you enjoy this authors crazy writing then this story will no doubt tickle your funny bone too. Michael is now King of the Vampires following the mysterious disappearance of the entire Vampire Council ! He is desperate to keep his favourite Librarian safe from any fallout but just who can he really trust ?
Oo this felt very different to the last book and I remember lamenting that the romance just wasn’t really happening so I’m overjoyed to report that things certainly move forward in this story. It’s just a shame that Michael really doesn’t have the time to just sink his fangs into what could be the love of his life because nothing about Miriam is easy.
Ok my fellow Pamfiloff addicts here is when I tell you that this book has the usual mayhem and quirkiness that we’ve come to expect but I think the author has exceeded all expectations with the twists here. I remember Occams Razor and the idea that the most obvious answer is usually the right answer and this story had Michael confronting betrayal and revelations that could seriously mess with a mere mortals head so it’s just as well that Michael isn’t mortal! This book does wrap up a particular storyline but paves the way for Michael to ride to the rescue again and you just know it’s going to be a snark infested dream come true !
This voluntary take is of an advanced copy and my thoughts and comments are honest and I believe fair
So many twists and turns with this one, one puzzle after another to try to solve. never a dull moment in this book it has humor, plot twist, sass and much more. Loved it!!!
I was lucky enough to get my hands on this gem of a book. I’m told this book can be read as a standalone because it’s so well written that you’d understand it even though it’s #3. PNR is my 1st love so this was a no brainer. I devoured this book.
The Librarian’s Vampire Assistant book 3 picks up with jaded 400 year old vampire, Michael Vanderhorst finally confessing to his precious librarian Miriam Murphy, that he is a vampire only to be met with laughter and then anger as she feels he went too far in his bid to get her to accept his “joke.” He’s in the doghouse with Miriam and they are tiptoeing around each other. Now a war is brewing, and he has no way to protect her unless he marries her to make her his queen and afford her the protection of his guards as he struggles to figure out what happened to the entire vampire council and where hundreds of powerful vampires might have vanished to. Who are the vampires working behind the scenes to destroy the society that they fought so hard amongst themselves to build and WHY? Who can he trust when it seems like his enemies are anticipating and countering his every move, before he can even make it?
If you haven’t read the first two books, you can absolutely start at book 3. There enough recaps to give you all the important information. But you would be robbing yourself of all the little moments that make a book magical. If you have read books 1 and/or 2 recently, you can skim the recaps to save a bit of time. Or you can use those recaps to relive the highlights of 1 and 2.
I love the humor, the twists and turns, and all the feels this series provides. Book 3 was a great read. Michael is absolutely hilarious and Mr. Nice is great at stealing a scene.
Everyone has secrets in this one and plenty of them are revealed by the end but others remain. Michael may love mysteries but he will have to make plenty of tough choices to save the day. One wrong move and everything could end.
Short enough to be read in a day, if you neglect a few chores and either nuke the kids’ lunches or ask the hubby to grab some dinner on his way home from the daily grind. Go ahead…you deserve it.
The Librarian’s Vampire Assistant 3 is the third book in this series by Mimi Jean Pamfiloff. Can you read this as a stand alone? Yes. Enough information is given for you to catch up. But your enjoyment, I feel, would be much better if you started at the beginning. That way you can get to know these characters from the start and experience what Michael has been going through ever since he arrived in Phoenix and met his librarian.
Michael Vanderhorst is a four hundred year old vampire stuck in the body of a nineteen year old. He came to Phoenix about a month ago to find out who killed his maker, Clive. He was drawn into the library that day when he first met Miriam Murphy, and she has been his obsession ever since. Vampires don’t feel love. But his feelings for Miriam have continued to grow. Does he love her? Maybe he does. He definitely doesn’t like being away from her. She’s a danger magnet. And now with everything going on, she is a target due to her association with him.
“Something is coming, something big.”
All of the council members are missing and Michael finds himself appointed king. A war is brewing. The fate of all human kind falls on Michael’s shoulders. He doesn’t know who to trust. Above all, Miriam is now a target. He has to keep her safe.
“I am completely lost to her. This thing between us is powerful, and a part of me realizes just how dangerous that is because there is nothing I wouldn’t do for her.”
There are so many twists and turns with this one. Michael’s life is non-stop chaos from the first page until the last. It is one puzzle after another to try to solve. Nothing is fitting together, nothing is making sense. Except Miriam. As much as I’ve loved this series from the start, there was only a hint of romance brewing. In this one, we do get a bit more so I’m thrilled with that. My heart rate never went down throughout this book. Poor Michael. There are so many surprises. And yes, Mr. Nice is back. He’s hilarious.
You will get answers with this one. If you are at all interested in this series, read it now. Is there more to come? Yes. I hope lots more. Are you listening, Mimi Jean??? So this is more of a To Be Continued. If you like your books to be a mix of paranormal, mystery, suspense, humor, and some romance, then get to clicking. Because this series is all of these things and more, so much more!
