Oh my! I enjoyed the first book but The Librarians’s Vampire Assistant book two is even better! Michael is still struggling to solve the mystery’s surrounding him all while trying to keep Miriam safe. It’s just so much going on with the twists and turns and backstabbing…but from who? Plus, as if Michael’s not busy enough, he gets a surprise visit from the nutty Mr Nice that puts even more strain between him and his librarian! The pieces of the puzzle start coming together and he’s solved the mystery’s only realizing to late that he’d actually been setup! I admit to being very happy that the mystery’s solved, only now we have another major hiccup to this story! I’m absolutely loving the drama and unexpected humor inserted all throughout this unusual vampire series! I can’t wait to start the next one and I’m going for the audiobook this time!

Once again, my thanks to Mimi and her team for choosing me to ARC read another of her awesome books, even though I think I hate Mimi after this one!! mwah!
This is the second part of Michael’s story as the vampire library assistant, told from his point of view, as he finds himself in even more trouble.
I wasn’t that “into” Michael in part one, I found him somewhat “dry” , but as much as he still speaks as though he’s 400 years old, because he is, he was so much more natural in this story.
He is absolutely hilarious, with Mimi’s awesome trademark oneliners that make you laugh out loud.
Miriam didn’t seem to have a big part in this tale, but it’s still all about her, her library, and the strange feelings Michael is having, that just seem to be getting more intense. The mystery of just what is going on with Miriam and her library thickens, and we are enlightened, thanks to Micheal putting one and one together, and getting, two three…two???? now there’s a question, is he on the right track?
So, not realizing Mimi in all her evilness was going to screw me over at the end of this book, I now must address my previously stated hate Love for her….. There is an almighty great spoiler, that leaves us just hanging there……all but mid sentence!!! What is with that! You’d think I would be used to it by now from ms. Mimi, but no! She gets me every time!!

This book was. as good as the first! Now Michael has to figure out where the 500 vampires that got created went. How can someone hide so many vampires? And what is going on with Miriam? Why are people still after her?
So much mystery and intrigue—I couldn’t put it down! I didn’t see the ending coming at all, and now there is even more mysteries to solve!

Stupidly Funny Thriller?
I can’t help giggling like a loon reading these books It’s like sunshine (sorry Mr Vanderhorst) on a rainy day, it just makes you smile & lifts your spirits!
There’s a lot of twists & backstabbing in this book. Big upsetting shocks are in store too Our lovable, accident prone librarian isn’t in this book as much because of all the action but when she is it’s brilliantly hilarious!!

The Librarian’s Vampire Assistant 2 is a an action packed, page turner! First let me start with even though this book is book two it can be read as a standalone. I have not read book one and I had no problems reading this, I never felt like I was missing something. This book was a delightful read, it had tons of humor from Michael’s inner dialogue! I love that he is masquerading as a young college kid when he is this 400 year old vampire of importance, who’s now in charge of two territories. He has so much on his plate! I feel bad for him and can’t help but laugh. I loved Michael and Lola’s relationship, their constant banter and family bond was very much like actual family. The romance wasn’t as in your face and I enjoyed that. Michael has so happening on his vampire side, on top of trying to keep Miriam alive and figure out his deep connection to her. I’ll tell you one thing, there is no way you can get bored reading this! lol.. there is just so much excitement and thrilling suspense, your devouring the pages to find out what’s going to happen! Surprisingly with everything going on and all the crazy, it doesn’t take away from the book. It just works, everything falls together smoothly! I really enjoyed this book, it’s definitely a feel good book! I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Ahhhh Michael, I have missed you. If you missed book one, here’s a quick reminder for you. Michael is our vampire, who is working to solve a mystery while he meets his librarian, Miriam. At the end of book one, we had no romance but a lot of intrigue.
We start book two right where the first left off. Mimi Jean continues with her insane writing ability. Once again, I was hooked and immediately addicted. I don’t know what it is about this series, but I can not put it down.
Michael’s inner dialogue is hilarious and snarky without being overly quirky. I appreciated seeing the story unfold through Michael’s point-of-view; it is still refreshing to have a book series entirely told through the male protagonist’s point of view.
In book two, Michael starts having “feelings” that he has no idea how to deal with, yet the romance hasn’t really unfolded yet. The progression feels great; we learn so much yet are left wanting more. In typical Mimi Jean fashion, we end on a slight cliffhanger that does nothing except whet my appetite for more. I really have no complaints here; I loved the relationships between Michael and Miriam, between Michael and his vampire friends, the suspense, the mystery, and the humor.
