Annaliese Harper knows that one tiny mistake can jeopardize a career before it’s even begun. Letting your boss find the extensive collection of porn on your personal laptop is one way. Liese manages to do both.As the new librarian at a prestigious small-town private high school, Liese is drawn to her sexy, charismatic principal, Ryder Whitehall—an attraction she … attraction she refuses to acknowledge given their relationship and her recent liberation from a delusional ex-boyfriend.
Liese is certain Ryder’s flirtation is the product of her sex-deprived imagination—until he discovers her digital porn stash during working hours and demands a private meeting. Behind closed doors, their attraction explodes into a dangerous, passionate affair that not only threatens their jobs and reputations, but most of all, their hearts.

Fun, flirty, sexy, humor, this book had it all I love Liese, “so, to paraphrase,” she began in a conspiratorial whisper, “you’d like to have dinner with me so I can tell you about my masturbation habits? Would that be accurate, sir?” Ryder may be cool and collected and in charge at school burn when it comes to romance and Liese the boy has no idea what the hell he’s doing, “then he finally seemed to remember himself and blurted out, “I got these for you.” He thrust a bouquet of flowers at her.” Some people may not realize this but Ryder does have manners, “at least I announced myself before I pressed my hard-on against your a**.” Ryder’s reaction to her parents walking in on them was priceless, “Ryder glared at her. “I don’t see how this is funny. What the hell kind of impression am I going to make now? We were having sex in your front hallway,” he said as he hastily buttoned his shirt. “I broke your damn table.” I loved this book so much.
A fun read and HILARIOUSLY embarrassing! Oh, my goodness, I enjoyed this one and I didn’t think I would. Helena Hunting is a good author to pull that off.
I went back and forth between the audio and the ebook for this book. I wasn’t totally feeling the narrator. I think I would have really liked this book if I had read it long before any of HH’s other series but this just didn’t feel like the same author to me.
This story had me hooked right from the beginning and left me craving more. I fell in love with the characters: Ryder — the sexy, charismatic and fiercely protective alpha male. Annaliese — the beautiful, strong, and sassy heroine. The flirty, witty exchanges are very well-written and they spar so well with one another. Their chemistry was undeniable and electric. Try as they may to fight their attraction, they are inevitably powerless to resist that magnetic pull to each other. They find solace in one another’s company; sharing a soul-deep connection that neither can explain. The intimate scenes were incredibly sexy and steamy. This story had me feeling all kinds of emotions – happy, sad, laugh out loud funny, and all those butterfly moments; it had all the feels. If you want a book that will make you swoon, steal your breath and have you laughing too, than this is one you want to read!
Good read but very predictable.
I found this one to be cute and fun. It was a little far fetched. But I still enjoyed it
The second book I ever read by Helena Hunting. Truly one of the best Rom-Com’s I have ever read.
The Librarian Principle was good, but I enjoyed the Pucked series and The Clipped Wings series more. It still definitely has the Helena Hunting feel to it with the storyline and especially the kind of humor included. It threw me off with it being in third person and only in Liese’s point of view. I would have liked a few chapters here and there from Ryder’s POV still. It would have added to the story in my opinion and given us a better understanding of Ryder. Liese and Ryder have a very funny relationship, especially the start of it that was different for sure. They have some obvious problems due to their jobs, but I like how they make it work. Ryder can be rough around the edges, but he shows more of his softer side around Liese. The Sean storyline was intriguing to me, but I felt like I didn’t get a solid ending to it. It was more of a highlight in the middle of the book and then the story just sort of moved on from it. I enjoyed Marissa’s character. She was highly entertaining, her humor reminded me of Violet. Blake was another good character that added to the story. I especially liked what happened with him and Marissa. The epilogue was funny and cute and sweet. I thought it was a great way to wrap it all up.
When I was caught up on Helena Hunting’s Pucked series I came across this amazing book!!! The chemistry between Principal Ryder Whitehall and his sexy librarian Annalise Harper nearly melted my kindle! Well it sure felt like it could!!! There is the perfect mix of awkwardness and sexiness in this book! I have read this book multiple times and listened to the audible version just as many if not more! This book is a MUST READ!
Funny, seductive & oh so wrong!
Really cute, sweet, fun read! Who knew a school principal could be so hot!
I loved the tension between Liese and Ryder…the banter, the back and forth, the “just get on with it already!” anticipation.
I just really liked everything about it- it’s one of those books that you can read on a lazy afternoon and know you’ll end up with a smile on your face.
