This story is so freaking adorable, Noah and Holly are just the cutest. They have such great chemistry but in the beginning Holly is still with her boyfriend and that makes Noah hesitant to even say anything to her about his feelings. And she’s a little clueless as to the affect she has on him. He does a good job of hiding his feelings from her, not wanting to lose her friendship by admitting how he feels- especially if she doesn’t feel the same way.
Holly is such a funky and feisty character, the complete opposite of Noah’s quiet, staid self. I really enjoyed their getting to know each other phase and watching their friendship grow and blossom into such a sweet romance. Friends-to-lovers is one of my favorite tropes and I loved that these 2 really did start out as friends.
This was such an interesting concept for this trilogy, with 3 couple thrown together in a class that caused them to step out of their comfort zones. They were all paired up just perfectly, with that one person who fit them jut right. The epilogue was so perfect, it had me tearing up!
And I cannot believe I missed the release of the second book in this trilogy, Matt and Annika’s story! I need to go back and read it now because I need to know what those 2 are all about!
I received this book in return for an honest review.
The Extra Credit Series by Charlotte Penn Clark is the best college series I have read. It’s fun, a little naughty, and all installments are excellent reads. The 3rd book in the installment, “The Lesson Plan” is no exception, and I loved reading every page. The hardest choice to make will be, which installment and couple will become your favorite!
In the “Lesson Plan”, the story focuses on the last couple Charlotte playfully describes as the Nerd and the Geek, Noah and Holly. This installment is so intoxicating, as the two dance around following their heart’s desires. Under the safe cover of friends, Holly and Noah help each other work through their issues that found them in Extra Credit classes. Here Charlotte Penn Clarke expertly captures the complicated and sometimes messy journey Holly and Noah take, where they struggle between desire, their issues and life. Alike, the other two couples in the series, we wait in anticipation, to see if Holly and Noah will accept what feelings they have for each other. I can’t wait to see what Charlotte has install for us next!
In addition, the 3rd installment, “The Lesson Plan” concludes following the path of all three couples, and re-unites all six as friends. This heartwarming conclusion will show that college desires can continue after college life, and depicts the next stage of each of their journey’s. The Extra Credit class gave each of them a foundation to believe in their strengths and overcome their issues, while showing them that friendship and love is possible if their willing to work together.
The Extra Credit Series is definitely a journey worth taking! The Lesson Plan (Extra Credit, #3)
