The Legend of ZERO begins the epic journey of 14-year-old Joe Dobbs in a post-apocalyptic universe following a massive alien invasion of Earth. The oldest of the children drafted from humanity’s devastated planet, Joe is impressed into service by the alien Congressional Ground Force — and becomes the unwitting centerpiece in a millennia-long alien struggle for independence. Once his training … begins, one of the elusive and prophetic Trith appears to give Joe a spine chilling prophecy that the universe has been anticipating for millions of years: Joe will be the one to finally shatter the vast alien government known as Congress. And the Trith cannot lie…
But first Joe has to make it through bootcamp.

I enjoyed Joe’s journey from scared child to soldier, from an also-ran son to a leader, from a mere Earthling to a Galaxy-saver.
This is a military novel disguised as a sci-fi novel. I read it almost to the end but finally I decided there was no point in forcing myself to read something I did not like. I tried to focus on the sci-fi aspect of it, but I felt that was poorly done. The aliens were cartoonish and poorly described, It felt like I was in the cantina scene in …
Sucked me in after the first couple of chapters. Kind of reminds me of a mix of Ender’s game and Red Rising.
I liked the plot but it bogged down at times.
A little slow to start out but well worth keeping at it. I will be reading the sequel
Sara King is absolutely my favorite writer( that is still alive, rest in peace Heinlein) . Unfortunately, I have been waiting for zero 4 for a long time but any of her series are fantastic. She is naturally talented at character based story prose. You will not regret discovering this great young writer. I am just waiting for her to get back to …
What a wonderful book! Now, one of my new favorite authors! I read the entire series being captivated by the extraordinary story and characters. Absolutely, well done!
Awesome book ! Full of twist & turns with the characters that you do not expect ! Great ground work for a “series” ! Highly recomend this book & I’m hopeful for the rest of the series.
Very thought provoking sci-fi about alien invasion of the Earth. Great characters.
Great book
Excellent. I loved it. I can’t wait to read the next entry. It is so nice to find something original that still has great characters and a storyline that keeps you interested from start to finish.
A new twist on alien invasion. Peaceful yet with a cost.
I really enjoyed the characters and the actual storyline. A wonderful story.
I totally enjoyed this book. Different take on aliens conquering earth. Entertaining, lots of action, good plot.
I loved this storyline but it was difficult to keep the characters straight in the beginning and the alien vocabulary was not well defined enough to lock in the meanings of the words. I want to read the entire series regardless of the early struggles.
Well written and adventurous
This book was exceptional. It had enough action for any mil sci-fi addict but with the character building that comes with excellent writing. I have since gotten the next two books in the series. My only regret is that they do not come in audible as well because of my long commute.
This is what the British call a “ripping yarn.” The series is very entertaining. I look forward to the promised final book in the series.
I really felt sorry for the main chacter. Talk about your sucky mother.
One of my favorite book/series
