He’s not a douchebag; but that doesn’t stop his friends from turning him into one.MY FRIENDS WANT ME TO GET LAID. So much so that they plastered my ugly mug all over campus, in bold printed letters:Are you the lucky lady who’s going to break our roommate’s cherry? Him: socially awkward man with average-sized penis looking for willing sexual partner. You: must have pulse. He will reciprikate with … sexual partner. You: must have pulse. He will reciprikate with oral. Text him at: 555-254-5551
The morons can’t even spell. And the texts I’ve been receiving are what wet dreams are made of. But I’m not like these douchebags, no matter how hard they try to turn me into one.
THIS ISN’T THE KIND OF ATTENTION I WANT.
One text stands out from hundreds. One number I can’t bring myself to block. She seems different. Hotter, even in black and white.
However, after seeing her in person, I know she’s not the girl for me. But my friends won’t let up—they just don’t get it. Douchebags or not, there’s one thing they’ll never understand: GIRLS DON’T WANT ME.
Especially her.

The Learning Hours was a sexy, funny, and highly entertaining standalone romance in the How to Date a Douchebag series, and I absolutely loved it! The storyline and characters were amazing, and I loved Sara Ney’s writing style and sense of humor.
The storyline was fantastic. From reading the synopsis, I kind of knew what to expect, but at the same time I was pleasantly surprised throughout. The plot was very unique, and I thought it was incredibly refreshing that the hero wasn’t “experienced,” if you know what I mean. The heat, humor, and everything in between was awesome, and even though there were some parts that I didn’t like as much, The Learning Hours was still amazing and entertaining from beginning to end.
The characters were phenomenal. Rhett and Laurel were amazing, and I loved them so freaking much. I loved their personalities and super hot chemistry together, and how their relationship progressed throughout. I loved reading the book from both Rhett and Laurel’s point of view, and all of their banter and interactions with each other. As I said above, I loved that Rhett didn’t have a lot of experience with women. It was very refreshing and endearing, and I loved him even more for it. Laurel had more experience than Rhett, but not in a bad way, and I loved how she tried coaxing Rhett out of his shell, so to speak. It was an interesting journey, to say the least, and I absolutely loved every minute of it. The secondary characters were good for the most part, but I wasn’t too pleased with a few of them. Rhett’s family was great though, and I really loved them. Rhett and Laurel’s story has been one of my favorites in the How to Date a Douchebag series so far, and I was extremely happy with the conclusion.
The Learning Hours was another sexy, humorous, and addicting standalone in the How to Date a Douchebag series, and I would HIGHLY recommend it! Sara Ney did a phenomenal job with this book, and I was ecstatic with the outcome to Rhett and Laurel’s story. The How to Date a Douchebag series has been excellent so far, and I can’t wait to read the final installment, The Coaching Hours!
This was my least favorite of the Douchebag series. I loved Rhett, but hated the Laurel. As it turns out she was the douchebag not Rhett. Not including his asshole teammates/roommates. I couldn’t get with the romance because of the heroine.
I have to say that Laurel and Rhett have to be my favorite couple so far. I was upset with how Rhett was portrayed but being able to see a hero that wasn’t 100% perfect and have him still get the girl made my heart full. The banter, the setting and just the overall slow burn had me hooked from the start. I laughed and rooted for the underdog the whole time. 4 stars #2OCCJD
Oh man, I really loved this one! I seriously enjoy this series and I think each one gets better and better. Holy cannoli I heart Rhett. Hands down for me, best character in the series so far. I just want to go around and hug him, like all the time. So adorable. Team Rhett all the way!
Well this d*****bag is a pleasing man when it comes to his girl, “…I have to make my weight class or I’m effed, but if this girl had suggested we eat a steaming pile of dog ****, I’d have gone along and eaten it without protest. Eff it. I’ll eat the go****n pizza.” Our guy is a tad bit slow ladies, “well you do now.” She looks up at me, confused. Her pretty brows bend. “I’ve been flirting and messaging you for weeks. I brought you cookies. I called you to pick me up from a bar in the middle of the night. Kissed you on my porch.” She’s breathing harder now, getting upset. Narrows her blue eyes at me. “What did you think I was doing all this time?” When placing furniture our guy doesn’t care how things go as long as it makes his girl happy, “let’s not put it in front of the window,” she reasoned. “What if we have *** on it? I don’t want anyone to see me riding you— we don’t have curtains yet…” Fair enough.” I loved this book, one of my favorite all time series, I loved this d*****bag, but Oz is still number one in my book.
This series is so addicting! My new favorite one! I love the twist this one has. Rhett, good ol’ southern guy, sexy and sweet, you can’t help yourself and fall madly in love with him. Totally swoon worthy! I loved the story, banter and chemistry between Rhett and Laurel. Don’t worry there is definitely a douchebag in this book. I highly recommend this book and series.
*5 Stars*
The Learning Hours is book 3 in the How to Date a Douchebag series, and its my first Sara Ney book, so obviously the first of this series that I have read as well.
I saw lots of really good reviews of the first two books when they were released, so I was really happy to be granted an ARC for this one. I’m keen to read the other two.
This book was a great read. There are lots of funny moments, but lots of serious moments too. Some of the secondary characters, guys on the male leads sports team, really are huge douchebags.
The male lead though? I really liked him. He could be a bit obtuse at times, but damn, he was an all round easy to like character that had me rooting for him the whole time. And the things he was insecure about? I totally get it.
The main female lead I wasn’t too sure about at first. I had to warm up to her character. but as things moved along I liked and understood her, even if she seemed a bit stuck-up sometimes.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and I’m keen to read the first two and to continue the series after this one.
Would recommend.
I loved this one. And I loved the fact that the douchebag was the girl.
Poor Rhett was so naive, innocent and insecured, he had no idea what hit him.
Laurel was a bit vain. Ok, a lot vain.
Beauty and the beast story with college and wrestling as a background
Again, I’m left longing for a HEA (as it happened with all the books of this series)
This is my first audiobook that I absolutely LOVED!!!
Normally, I stay away from audiobook because the narrator never seem to meet my expectations. I am very picky when it comes to audiobooks, but this one met my EVERY expectation.
Josh Goodman and Muffy Newton was absolutely perfect these characters!! They had me laughing out loud and kept me well entertained throughout the read.
Josh Goodman brought Rhett to life. His narration was perfect in all the right places from the humor to the sweetness.
Muffy Newton’s narration of Laurel made me like this character even more.
Josh Goodman’s and Muffy Newton’s narration of the characters was at the right pace, it was not over acted, and the reading tones was on point. They have really changed my views on audiobooks and I will be looking for more books that those two narrate.
This was my first read of this series, but now I am wanting to read them all. It’s such a sweet college romance that has everything that a college romance should. Sara Ney did such an amazing job on the writing and the picking of narrators for this wonderful read!!!
I loved the Hero! What a southern sweetie! The ‘Douchebag’books are quick, uncomplicated, and fun to read. I smiled all the way through.
Oh. My. Word. Yes.
This book was so good. Yummy. Hot. Sweet.
I didn’t like the heroine at first but I LOVE redeeming story arcs. I liked that she changed over the course of the story, that she confessed her transgressions honestly when asked. I love that they were both flawed and had normal-people hang ups and found ways to work around them in the end. Laurel learned to be brave and talk openly about what she needed from Rhett. Rhett learned to accept Laurel’s love and that he needed to give back to her emotionally. And good NIGHT. SO HOT. I love this series and could read a ton of these. This was definitely my favorite so far and I really liked the other two so that’s saying a lot. More please!!
