If I tell you right up front, right in the beginning that I lost him, it will be easier for you to bear. You will know it’s coming, and it will hurt. But you’ll be able to prepare.
Someone found him in a laundry basket at the Quick Wash, wrapped in a towel, a few hours old and close to death. They called him Baby Moses when they shared his story on the ten o’clock news — the little baby left in … baby left in a basket at a dingy Laundromat, born to a crack addict and expected to have all sorts of problems. I imagined the crack baby, Moses, having a giant crack that ran down his body, like he’d been broken at birth. I knew that wasn’t what the term meant, but the image stuck in my mind. Maybe the fact that he was broken drew me to him from the start.
It all happened before I was born, and by the time I met Moses and my mom told me all about him, the story was old news and nobody wanted anything to do with him. People love babies, even sick babies. Even crack babies. But babies grow up to be kids, and kids grow up to be teenagers. Nobody wants a messed up teenager.
And Moses was messed up. Moses was a law unto himself. But he was also strange and exotic and beautiful. To be with him would change my life in ways I could never have imagined. Maybe I should have stayed away. Maybe I should have listened. My mother warned me. Even Moses warned me. But I didn’t stay away.
And so begins a story of pain and promise, of heartache and healing, of life and death. A story of before and after, of new beginnings and never-endings. But most of all… a love story.

The story is separated into two parts. The story is told from the POV of Georgia and POV of Moses.
Clever comparing Moses to the horse. At first I kept thinking why all the information about horses. I’m not a horse lover and I am not interested in reading about families breaking horses, but I realized later the significance of this. The horses …
Unexpected jewel! Great story and characters, very well written. Page-turner and easy to read. Highly recommend this book!
One of the best books I’ve ever read. Highly recommended. Love the characters
5 Beautiful Stars
Amy Harmon has sucked me in to each and every book that I’ve read of hers. They are beautifully written stories. Well thought out and once you open the cover to start reading, you cannot stop until the very last page.
The Law of Moses spans over many years following two characters Moses and Georgia. The two are quite the …
The Law Of Moses was something completely unexpected. It was the unexpectedness of this book that made it so incredibly enticing. This is another one of those books that will stay with you long after you’re finished reading it, one you’ll recommend to your fellow reader friends, and tell them they must grab it and read it as soon as possible. …
WOW!! Why did I wait this long to read this book?? This is a very unique story that is much more than just romance. This book had it all: happiness, sadness, loss, love, anger, jealousy, resentment etc. I felt EVERYTHING the characters were feeling.
Moses, I love him so much. He is one of a kind and I just have a weak for book boyfriends that …
Amy’s books are always so uniquely gut wrenching and yet at the same time oh so beautiful! I have to always talk myself into opening one of her books because they always affect me the same way. I cry like the biggest baby, but it is ALWAYS worth it!
Not an easy novel by any means, as this one explores deep themes like race, religion, life after death, and what it means to love someone. Sticks with you for weeks afterward.
Once again I find myself sitting all alone wondering why I dislike a book all my friends love. Did I read this wrong? Whatever it is this book is a no go for me. I felt no connection between the h&h. Moses was a huge jerk to Georgia. Georgia felt like a doormat. She throws herself at him time and time again. He pushes her away and is a jerk to her …
unique kind of story.
5/5 Love, loss, suspense and a little paranormal all rolled in to one! I really enjoyed this book by new to me author Amy Harmon and will definitely be diving in to the other 2 stand-alone books in this series. I started off deciding to use this book as my first experience with Audible and due to the narration that really put me off I am glad that …

Moses is the weird guy that nobody likes in his town, from the minute he was born he already was the gossip of the town.. he sees things and people are scared from him.. he has been judged all his life making him …
Loved the unpredictability of this story. Loved how it all worked out too.
This book was not your stereotypical contemporary romance. Good character development, with realistic flaws. At times tragic, and yet, ultimately hopeful.
A very unique story. Loved it!
couldn’t put in down would read again
Great Great book!!!!!
Makes one think and admire the genius in others.
I loved this book. It was nothing I expected it to be and it stayed outside of the box throughout the entire story. Misunderstood and labeled as a problem and outcast Moses doesn’t fit in this community and at the first chance. It doesn’t stop him though and that’s what I loved about this book. When his gift brings him home the pain and anguish …
LOVED THIS BOOK!! Couldn’t put it down until I completed it and then was sad it was done.
