Broke ex-waitresses aren’t supposed to have archenemies.Seriously, that kind of crap is way above our pay grade. We certainly aren’t supposed to have multiple supernatural beings competing for the title of “scariest nemesis.” Yet that’s where I find myself, now that the last vampire on Earth is no longer the last vampire on Earth.Ransley Thorpe turned his closest friend in a last-ditch effort to … closest friend in a last-ditch effort to save his life. Now all three of us have targets painted on our backs, and the powerful demon who might be able to protect us is the last person in the three realms we should trust.
To survive, we’ll have to rekindle old alliances and rely on friends who have only the barest conception of the danger they’re about to face. One thing is crystal clear—even if we succeed in holding our enemies at bay, my life is about to change in ways I could never have foreseen.
As the only demon/fae/human hybrid in existence, I thought I had problems before.
Silly me. It turns out, I didn’t know when I was well off.

The Last Vampire: Book Five
By: R. A. Steffan, Jaelynn Woolf
Narrated by: Gwendolyn Druyor
This fifth installment of Rans and Zorah’s fantastic story takes some interesting turns. At the end of book four we found out Guthrie is Zorah’s grandfather, Rans could not let him die so he turned him. Guthrie is not too happy about becoming a vampire. A weakened Nigellus returns to hell to find Myrial, they are still a threat but Rans and Zorah need to come up with a plan on what to do next. With the help of Albigard they take Guthrie and go to travel on a yacht hoping to stay out of sight from both the demons and Fae. Everything is going well until it it is not, when they found by the Fae. After a chase and battle they manage to escape but something happens to Zorah, she absorbed too much energy from the Fae. They rush to get her medical help. There is never a dull moment in this book, there is plenty of drama, some angst, some thrilling and suspenseful moments and a surprising twist. I am looking forward to see what comes next in book six. Thank you R.A. Stefan & Jaelynn Woolf for another awesome story, I love your creative and imaginative minds and the world you created.
I listened to the Audible edition, Gwendolyn Druyor is a fantastic narrator and a versatile voice artist. She brings these characters to life, giving each their own distinct voice and personality, as well as heart and attitude. She switches characters flawlessly keeping the story in a perfect flow. You could hear how much heart she puts into her work as she projects the emotions of the characters as well as the drama of the story into her performance. She is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another awesome listen
I enjoy this series; this one wasn’t my favorite of the series, but I’m still liking how entertaining the story is. Enjoy the bits of action and danger with all the enemies after Zorah and Rans. I like Zorah’s sass, and I enjoy the sweetness between Rans and Zorah. I’m still not a fan of the really long sex scenes; I skip a lot of it, and the kink between Zorah and Rans just sometimes isn’t what I want to read in a romance. More raunchy than sensual. Plus, Zorah needing to go to sex clubs in every book in order to feed her succubus side, just isn’t my thing either. The cruise ship could’ve been a fun idea, but the type of cruise it was and the type of people on the cruise just added nothing to the story. Overall, I like how the story ended and I’m looking forward to the final book. This is a 3.5 rating, rounded to a 4 because this series has been entertaining!
Audiobook narrated by Gwendolyn Druyor, overall good. This one picks up after book 4, the series is so good at this point I just need to keep on hearing it, this one got so many twists I didn’t see coming. Loving the characters even more, and definitely getting to know them better and how everything is panning out to be in their world. Fantastic world-building.
This book starts exactly where the previous ended and the drama and suspense doesn’t start. I can’t tell you how much I love this little group of characters in this series. Although there isn’t as big of a cliffhanger in the end you will still be begging for more. I can only hope that the audiobook is combing out the same time as the kindle book in December.
