Funny guy! Wish I had him as a teacher!
It is a fun, great read!
I couldn’t put the book down once I started it. I loved the characters and the story line.
Great story! I love the newness of the characters and how getting into bed is not the main focus. I also enjoyed the main character and how he was working through his damaged history and trying to become a greater person. You really hoped will land in his feet.
Good novel!
I really got a kick out of this book, and the characters are engaging. The author has a fun approach to his main character.
Good story. Really enjoyed it.
Excellent mystery novel. Hard to put down. Great characters.
Good story telling and plot. A nice read.
This is a fun read. The protagonist has so complex and mind-boggling a past that you can’t help but root for him when he is suspected of murdering a fellow teacher. He is witty and wise-cracking yet self-deprecating , fierce in protecting his infant son . Not a highly-complex read, but a light and enjoyable one.
My husband and I really enjoyed. The main character was very interesting and complicated. Being a teacher, I enjoyed his reactions to situations I have encountered( not the dead bodies). It kept me guesing with every twist.
Well written with a sense of humor and fast paced, Alan Lee left me looking for the next novel.
Great read, great series.
The sardonic protagonist is a character worth developing further. His back story is intriguing, and it needs more and gradual exploration. The dialogue is fun. The pacing good till the last quarter where the events need more energy.
I loved this book. The author convinced me to focus on the wrong suspect right until the very end when the action shifted and an entirely different suspect was guilty. Great book.
I enjoyed every page a favorite of mine it kept my interest and kept me guessing
The main character is “Awesome” and considers himself witty. Remember that word………..awesome…….
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The characters are modern day hero’s with troubles and a sense of humor that his never-ending. Really good read. I highly recommend this book.
Action, mystery, and a wise-cracking, hottie hero make for crime fiction at its best. I was introduced to Alan Lee and the Mackenzie August Series for free in The Last Teacher novel but will be one-clicking the rest of Mr. Lee’s books for sure. 5 STARS fun!
