Okay, I have to be honest with you all, I have not finished reading The Last Single Girl yet (but I will probably finish in about an hour after I finish typing).
I am about two-thirds of the way finished with this book, and I thought that you all should know about this free, under 200 pages, & possibly relatable read.
The main character, Sarah, finds herself in a bit of a predicament. The kind where she needs to find a guy to date in time for a New Year’s party, so she doesn’t become a seventh wheel. Sarah is online dating and “dating” multiple guys (not really at the same time though–just experience dates one & two and you’ll understand); she is so determined to not be that seventh wheel. But, anyway, it’s not awesome what she has to endure, but it makes for a great, somewhat short read if you don’t have or get a lot of time to read and relax.
Check out The Last Single Girl by Bria Quinlan and Caitie Quinn!
Very funny but I wanted the story to be longer.
A cute story about the trials of internet dating. Definitely a nice and relaxing read. No sex or foul language but a happily ever after ending with wonderful characters.
This is the first book that I read by this author and I read it as a part of the Sweet and Sassy Anthology. I really liked this book.
First, there was Sarah’s character. I loved her gentle, patient heart. She was surrounded by family and friends, but wanted something a little more.
Then, there is John. Everyone needs someone like John in their life!!!
I couldn’t put the book down. I really enjoyed it and loved the ending! I can’t wait to read more books by Ms. Quinlan!
Very cute
I loved the characters – it was a fun read and had me smiling a lot.
This was just a fun book to read. Showing how someone can be so blind to the obvious.
Very cute story, can’t wait to read the next one in the series.
A nice escape from the real-world chaos; this book is a light-hearted, light read. I think every woman who’s ever been the “odd woman out” in her circle of friends in terms of relationships will recognize themselves in this funny book!
A great start to a wonderful series. I love the characters, the realistic yet hilarious situations – couldn’t wait to read the follow-up books – but there is no cliff hanger. This is a stand alone.
Enjoyed reading this series growing up I think we all have met someone who was jealous for no reason and was a mean girl in the group but in the end Sarah won out
When her circle of friends are all paired up and change their New Year’s Eve plans from girls’ night out to couples, Sarah feels utterly “single.” She goes on a mission to find a suitable guy via a dating service for the event…and hopefully for a relationship. She arranges each meeting to be at a local coffee shop. It is there that the reader gets to know the main characters and see how the first encounters pan out. The focus is on the growing relationships between likable and very human people. There are plenty of humorous, fun moments, too. Very different from most story lines in this genre. The main characters are “normal” people (not heart throbbing perfection), and the reader comes to understand them by their actions. Give this refreshing, fun book a try!
“The Last Single Girl” (nook) is a quick look at real people and real life. I could imagine that Sarah is me, or one of my friends. We fall in love with unassuming men who are kind and loving. I plan on reading other books in this series.
What a fun, quirky read! I’ll be digging into the rest of the series.
Cute story. The last single girl is confident and has a temper. LOL
thank you for the entertainment, less explicit sex & an over-emphasis on physical attributes!
Another fun story by a favorite author.
A very enjoyable entertaining story! I enjoyed the humor immensely.
I love a MC who’s witty and self-effacing and never mean. Sarah is that character.
Her dates are hilarious, not always in a good way. Mostly, not in a good way. But it’s Sarah’s take on these dating adventures that kept me giggling the entire time. At one point, you pretty much know where the story is headed, yet it’s still entertaining enough you want to stay on the ride and see exactly how it plays out.
The entire book was a fun read. But it’s not so flippant as to be off-putting. I just enjoyed the whole thing.
A nice relaxing read.
