“Deliciously duplicitous. . . . equally as twisty, spellbinding, and addictive as Gillian Flynn’s Gone Girl or Paula Hawkins’s The Girl on the Train.”—Library Journal (starred review)
Amber Patterson is fed up. She’s tired of being a nobody: a plain, invisible woman who blends into the background. She deserves more—a life of money and power like the one blond-haired, blue-eyed goddess Daphne Parrish takes for granted.
To everyone in the exclusive town of Bishops Harbor, Connecticut, Daphne—a socialite and philanthropist—and her real-estate mogul husband, Jackson, are a couple straight out of a fairy tale.
Amber’s envy could eat her alive . . . if she didn’t have a plan. Amber uses Daphne’s compassion and caring to insinuate herself into the family’s life—the first step in a meticulous scheme to undermine her. Before long, Amber is Daphne’s closest confidante, traveling to Europe with the Parrishes and their lovely young daughters, and growing closer to Jackson. But a skeleton from her past may undermine everything that Amber has worked towards, and if it is discovered, her well-laid plan may fall to pieces.
With shocking turns and dark secrets that will keep you guessing until the very end, The Last Mrs. Parrish is a fresh, juicy, and utterly addictive thriller from a diabolically imaginative talent.

I could not get through this book. The authors must have thought their readers were idiots. We got the picture right from the start, but they kept on with the premise for what seems like ions. Finally I gave up and read the last chapter… answered the few questions I had.
Could not put this book down it was a good read.
This was a quick and fun read about which woman dupes the other in this tangled relationship.
Great story development!
Four and a half stars for an entertaining read.
Good read. The book could have been more polished, but it was still very suspenseful. Could have done with a little less info on the sex.
Light reading, somewhat predictable. The writing is skillful, but the plot seems to drag until the second part, with the “first” Mrs.Parrish telling her side of things. A good summer read, and no doubt it will make a good movie.
Good story
Reading it in the heel of THE WIFE BETWEEN US, which has (spoiler!) similar premise only highlights how good the authors are.
I found the ending anti-climatic. It got all wrapped up a little too neatly and was too “happily ever after.” I was hoping for a twist at the end or something real dramatic. Disappointed.
Never occured to me that a female con artist trying to steal of rich husband could be interesting and almost put it down, when there was an unexpected but huge twist. A great exciting ending.
The Wife Between Us is the same kind of book and a better version
Totally unreal but fast reading
Loved this so much that I can’t wait to read another book by this author!
Fun quick read, some dark stuff goes on with the man in “power” and what he wants in life and he is willing to do anything to have. This book is full of manipulation by all 3 main characters. Hold on for the ride.
Exceptional!!!! I read this book in three days and I could not put it down. It’s all I could think about every night. The suspense, twists and turns keep you wanting more. This is by far my favorite novel of the year. I have been recommending it to anyone and everyone that asks for book recommendations. Liv Constantine
I absolutely could not put this book down!! So many twists and turns. If you like a twisted sort of thriller/mystery, then this one fits the bill to a tee!!
Hard to put down until the last page! Just when you think you have the plot figured out, another twist comes along to throw you off and take you rethink your ideas.
First, not great literature. That said, it’s the perfect summer read – a quick read (I read it in about 8-hours); creepy, but not keep-you-awake-at-night creepy; and a book that at least one person gets what’s coming to them! If you’re looking for a page turner, this one’s for you!
I devoured this book in a few days! So juicy! I loved following the heroine around as she schemed to take Mrs. Parrish’s husband. She is such an abhorrent character, and yet, in a way you wanted to see if she could pull it off. So good.
