Two women. Two flights. One last chance to disappear.
Claire Cook has a perfect life. Married to the scion of a political dynasty, with a Manhattan townhouse and a staff of ten, her surroundings are elegant, her days flawlessly choreographed, and her future auspicious. But behind closed doors, nothing is quite as it seems. That perfect husband has a temper that burns bright and he’s not above using his staff to track Claire’s every move.
What he doesn’t know is that Claire has worked for months on a plan to vanish. A plan that takes her to the airport, poised to run from it all. But a chance meeting in the airport bar brings her together with a woman whose circumstances seem equally dire. Together they make a last-minute decision.
The two women switch tickets, with Claire taking Eva’s flight to Oakland, and Eva traveling to Puerto Rico as Claire. They believe the swap will give each of them the head start they need to begin again somewhere far away. But when the flight to Puerto Rico crashes, Claire realizes it’s no longer a head start but a new life. Cut off, out of options, with the news of her death about to explode in the media, Claire will assume Eva’s identity, and along with it, the secrets Eva fought so hard to keep hidden.
For fans of Lisa Jewell and Liv Constantine, The Last Flight is the story of two women—both alone, both scared—and one agonizing decision that will change the trajectory of both of their lives.

Kept me guessing. I really enjoyed reading. Interesting characters. Relevant themes.
I thought was a very interesting story. I couldn’t predict what was going to happen next. The characters were as interesting as the story. I recommend it.
I couldn’t put this fast paced thriller down and highly recommend. Tightly plotted with great writing and characters.
This book has been on my to-read list since it came out, and it was everything I thought it would be. The perfect balance of tension and character development. Two women who, while being quite the opposite, were so much alike. And the ending…!
Excellent read! I didn’t want to put it down because every chapter ended in a new twist that made you catch your breath.
An entertaining thriller that will keep you guessing right up until the end.
Hang on tight and don’t let go—THE LAST FLIGHT is a page-turner that won’t turn you lose. Two desperate women, an ill-conceived plan to trade identities, a drug scheme gone wrong, and a fatal plane crash. What more can you ask for? With deftly drawn characters and a dual narrator/ dual timeline structure, Julie Clark has created a suspenseful story you will remember long after the last page. Grab a copy and brace for the rollercoaster ride!
Really a 4.5. It held my interest through most of the book and I really wanted to keep reading and reading, but I have other things that need to be done, darn it. It kept me thoroughly entertained through it all.
Interesting pair of heroines; parallel stories
It lures you in with some excitement and mystery in the beginning. From there it’s all just…boring, rambling, boring, brainless, boring, tedious, boring…does this book ever end!
10 stars – I loved this one!
Great Mystery
Fast paced easy read, recommended it for book club and everyone loved it!
Great characters, exciting plot. I never expected the ending!!! Kept me reading all day.
Surprisingly addictive and hard to put down. I had to know all the answers so I had to keep reading lol. Very good storyline and characters. Normally I get bored with these types of reads but I was all-in with this one. Very fun psychological thriller and one I definitely recommend.
Not edge of your seat but a good mystery
Really good, plot twists that I wasn’t expecting good ending. I would recommend this book for a good quick read.
This was such a riveting storyline that illustrated the bravery of two women trying to break free from entrapped situations. The characters were captivating and believable. I could not put this book down!
If I could give this book 10 points instead of 5 I would. The underlying topical #ME TOO theme was subtle, not in your face, with a satisfying conclusion and some twists I didn’t see coming.
I’ve always found stories of switching identities fascinating, and this one really grabbed me and wouldn’t let go.
A thrilling read full of twists and turns. Ms. Clark masterfully portrayed strong women amidst dire circumstances. It was refreshing to see women helping other women. And A+ for the female friendships.
