Spence might be hot as fire, but I know what happens when you play with fire.Finding out that he’s back in town has been nothing but bad for me. I’m done with go no-where guys. I’m not looking for another short term boyfriend who just wants to “have fun” and “chill” for a little while. I’m looking for a man who wants to be a partner in every way that a strong home needs. Someone with a solid … needs. Someone with a solid career and a commitment to his family.
This is my future I’m talking about, and there’s no future with a guy like Spencer.
My girlfriends and I made a pact: No more casual flings or one-night stands. From now on, we’re going to wait for the real thing.
The do-over pact is just what I needed.
And a busy event season will only help keep me focused on work.
Because if there’s anything that’s going to tempt me to break the pact– it’s Spencer.
Bottomless mimosas, bitchfests, and brunch.
That’s what we do on Sunday mornings.
The Lakeside Laundry & Boat Dock Cafe is the quirky sort of place you’d expect to find in a much trendier city like Seattle or Portland– or at least some place that actually had a lake.
But no. There’s no lake, no laundry, and no boat dock but there is a pretty damn good cafe…
Welcome to Landsburg and five girlfriends who make a pact to step back, slow down, and get a do-over on their dating history.
From here on out, they’re saving themselves for someone special.
The Do-Over Pact is the new series of short stories featuring a group of close girlfriends and the third-pitcher-of-mimosas decision they make during one Sunday brunch that ultimately kicks off the chain of events that leads them all to their happily ever afters.
It’s amazing how fast the Right One shows up once you’re done wasting time on all the wrong ones.
The Do-Over Pact might be about waiting, but it’s far from innocent! If you’re looking for a wholesome read, this ain’t it!
The Last First Kiss is a short read that follows one couple to their happily ever after with no cheating, very little drama, and some scenes guaranteed to make you blush.

This was such a cute story from Rocklyn and the 2nd book in the Do Over Pact Series. This time around it’s Paige and Spencer who get their do over and these 2 are exact opposites, but who couldn’t be so right for each other. This is a insta love story and it may be a short read, but you won’t mind, because of how good it is. I’d definitely recommend one clicking this lil jewel.
The Last First Kiss is book two in the Do-Over Pact series and I absolutely LOVED it! The series just keeps getting better with each new story. So we met Paige and Spencer in book 1. Spencer is Reagan’s younger brother and the girls waiter during Sunday brunch. There was instant chemistry between these two right from the start. Paige knows exactly what she wants in her future husband and unfortunately it’s not Spencer. A couple of months apart definitely makes the heart grow fonder. Once these two decide to make it work their relationship moves at a lightning fast pace to get to their Happily Ever After.
The Last First Kiss is completely safe and free of any kind of abuse. There is no cheating or ow/om drama or any kind of drama really. There is no mention of previous relationships/partners other than in an abstract sense. I am very impatiently waiting for the next story in the series. It really cannot come fast enough!!
An entertaining fast pace page turner! The story line is well though-out, funny, witty, passionate, and emotionally deep. The characters are amazing; their chemistry is off the charts! This book will captivate you from page one and hold your interest until the very end. Definitely recommended! I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
For Paige this do-over gives her back what she prematurely gave to the one person she thought was going to be her last. After that ship sailed, she found herself with quite a few regrets. After one fantastic platonic summer with Spencer is she maybe rethinking her pact. It took driving away for Spencer to realize what he left behind and as he heads back can he prove to Paige he will definitely be her last first kiss. Wonderful characters, in a small town close knit friends and plenty of love to share. The storyline is very cute but it felt like it did gloss over how Spence and Paige got there, they talked about their summer romance but we didnt get to share in the moments. I voluntarily leave my review of my honest opinion of this book.
Rocklyn Ryder has done it yet again with another amazing quick hot read in this second book of the Do Over Pact series. I absolutely loved this book and loved Paige and Spencer.
We got to see a little of each of them in the first book and knew that they were attracted to each other but Spencer just didn’t meet the requirements that Paige had for her next man – at least not in the beginning. It’s a very fast moving book and totally unrealistic but yet I LOVED it! Their chemistry is HOT and to see how Spencer was in this book would have totally made me want to follow the same path that Paige did in the end. LOL!
I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I really enjoyed the story this has to tell. Paige and Spencer met in the first book in the series and he is looking for what he wants in his life he thinks he will find the answer on the back roads. Paige knows exactly what she wants a nice home with that white picket fence and a study husband and kids to go with it. Love can make you change the direction of your life and all your plans. This is a very short quick book, I wish it had a little more depth, it was very to the point. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series. I really enjoy Rocklyn Ryder’s writing style and the stories she comes up with.
‘The Last First Kiss’ is the second book in ‘The-Do-Over-Pact Series’. In book one we learn about ‘The-Do-Over-Pact’ where all the female friends promise to act as virgins until they meet ‘Their One and Only’. This is Paige and Spencer’s story. Spencer is trying to figure life out after graduating university and being disillusioned with his first real job in the field he studied. Paige works hard and treats herself well enjoying some of life’s finer things after experiencing poverty while growing up. There is major chemistry between the two when they first meet. They continue to meet up through the summer but never act on their emotions due to the pact being in play and Spencer only planning on being in town for the summer. When Spencer moves on he realizes how important Paige has become in his life and sets about making changes in order to be the man that Paige deserves. This is a well written book with realistic characters and a well thought out storyline. As always, I look forward to the next in the series. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I really like Rocklyn Ryder’s work, so am very reluctant to give this book only 3 stars, but I felt it lacking the depth of her usual work. I think the she would have produced a better story if she held off publishing each story individually, and instead put them altogether in one volume.
This is the second short story in this series about a group of friends, that decided they were sorry that they have wasted their virginity on someone who didn’t appreciate them and have decide to do a do-over, no more indiscriminate sex, until marriage or at least with the guy who will be their forever man. This story seemed too rushed. After Spencer left town to rediscover himself, he realized that Paige was meant to be his home and returns, all prepared to give her the ring and the home that she has been holding out for. But he knows that she is wary, so doesn’t push. But the whole story seems pushed, no real character development, and then Abby pushed her into going to the courthouse for a quick wedding. I think the she would have produced a better story if she held off publishing each story individually, and instead put them altogether in one volume.
As member of the author’s “review crew”, I read an ARC. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.
Short but sweet. I loved reading about Paige and Spencer’s love story. This story is very funny and I love all the characters. It was great to see d tume with the characters from the first book. So much fun!
Those moments of clarity that Spencer experiences and how he deals with that information is one of many swoon worthy incidents in this heart skipping romantic short!
Paige knows what she needs and wants in her life and doesn’t want to settle for almost good enough.
Can they risk their hearts and take the leap?
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this book.

The Last First Kiss is the second book in The Do-Over Pact series. This time we watch as Spencer & Paige make their way to happily ever after.
Paige & her girlfriends have all made a pledge to forgo sex & wait for that special guy they should have waited for in the first place. She’s done with guys that aren’t ready to settle down. She wants a family & everything that goes with it. Unfortunately, Spence is one big temptation even if he’s not going to stick around.
After Spence left college he had hoped for a career to be proud of. But his dreams were shattered by real life. So he’s been drifting since then, trying to find where his home was. He planned to make his way to Baja, but the further he got from Paige, the worse he felt. So he’s back & determined to win over Paige, but will he be able to convince her he’s ready to settle down with her?
This book is a great follow up to the first book, The Last First Date. It has everything I look for in a quick, light read. The main characters are likeable & engaging. The supporting cast is there to keep things moving without overwhelming. The story line is enjoyable with nothing too heavy to weight it down. All in all, this is a short, fun read that’s perfect for a quiet afternoon.
I voluntarily read & reviewed this advanced reader’s copy.
After a little adventure trying to better the world, Spencer realized things were not as he expected and his call was in some other place, with his Paige of course, because he considered her his. Spence, Paige’s temptation. He was ever in her mind, her heart and her dreams. Sigh! That was romantic! But his lack of ambition was making him no match for her. Bad mojo! Would he change his ways and win the girl? Cheers for Spencer! I vow for him! Sweet, romantic and easy to read story with characters that feels real, a situation to work through, amusing descriptions and narrations, the loyal and conspirators’ friends and heated passion
He is carefree and part-time, she is full-time and professional. He has no set roots, she is grounded and not moving. Spencer and Paige seem to be at opposite ends of the spectrum.
Summer has drawn to a close. Spencer has finished building the little home van with his brother, he is out on the open road. Paige is burying herself in her work and the weekly meet-ups with the girls. During the summer she was one of the girls that joined the do-over pact, and it seems there is nothing preventing her from sticking to it now.
Before Spencer left, everyone had gotten together. Some things were left without a complete end though. Paige has explained to Spencer why she won’t back down. Time has moved forward, but what was discussed weighs heavily on both of them. Spencer has taken a detour to what he thought was his dream, this isn’t what he thought traveling would be like. He is back in town and on a very important mission.
Security…she wants a permanent secure future. His moving back to town is just the beginning though. He has that security now with a job, his own place, and his mission – to win Paige. No is not an option.
As a part of everyday life, there are always little twists that seem to make things interesting. Those twists happen, but nothing is standing in their way. Spencer pulls out all the stops, he even has a few surprised for Paige. One of the surprises helps her realize that she is done with that pact, she has Spencer and they are permanent and secure, together now. One small snag happens – but it’s only a minor set back, since they have forever with their happiness.
Paige is a part of a do over pact with her closest girlfriend’s. The one guy she’d break that pact for, Spencer, is back in town but she’s going to stick to her pact!
Spencer is back and he is determined to get Paige and honor the pact. He’s going to show her that he wants forever.
These do over books are the sweetest and hottest. The things Spencer says and does to Paige I was slightly bummed when the book ended, I needed more!
I can’t wait to see who’s next!
Love Spencer and Paige’s story. Love how he became the man Paige needed him to be. Love the instant connection even though it took a little time for Spencer to get Into Paige’s heart.
The Last First Kiss was a sweet and charming romance. This is book two in The Do-Over Pact series. Paige and Spencer hung out and got to know each other over summer then he left town. Now he’s back in Landsburg and he wants his woman. Paige and Spencer have off the charts chemistry. I loved all the interactions with the friends. I’m looking forward to who’ll be next?? This is a great series and a really sweet romance that I thoroughly enjoyed.
The Do Over Pact is what five friends decide to do after disastrous relationships. This is Paige and Spencer’s story. It’s well written, awesome characters, plenty of humor, hot sexy scenes, a girlfriends pact, it’s a sweet, entertaining and captivating story. Would I recommend it: YES
I received a free copy of this book via Rocklyn Ryder’s ARC Team and I am voluntarily leaving a review
I liked the construct of this quick read.
Spencer and Paige already fell for each other off the page and he left in his van and man bun months ago. Now he’s back with a ring, a new hair cut and a purpose.
Paige is kind of high maintenance with a Pinterest plan for her life. That includes the pact and a ring and a house and the finer things. Will Spencer stick around? Is he done drifting?
Recommend.
What a fabulous story! I was blown away by the eloquence of writing & gripping plotline!
We return to Landsburg, where the men are Hot & the mimosa’s flowing! This second book is focused on Spencer & Paige.
Paige first met Spencer in the first book when he was the waiter at the cafe that her & her friends meet at every Sunday. The attraction was there from the start for them both, but Paige was adamant that it couldn’t go further as Spencer planned on leaving in a few months.
Spencer does indeed leave, trying to find where he belongs. Whilst in the road, he has an epiphany – Paige is his forever after! So, he plans on returning & sweeping her off her feet.
What ensues is a beautiful, gesture-filled romantic story to fill your hearts!
I wholeheartedly recommend this book to everyone – It’s a very well told story that stands the test of time!
Well done Rocklyn. I cannot wait for more!
